Never noticed the driver dancing in the car during a skill song. Cool touch.
I agree, it is a bit frustrating especially with the weekly challenge to complete. I wish they would announce the event like they did for Forzathon Live in FH4.Why do people in the game are so reluctant in trying out Horizon Arcade? I swear i lost count how many times there were a bunch of people near the starting area, only to be left alone and doomed to fail because it's designed to screw over anyone attempting to solo it or with 1 or 2 teammates not competent enough to complete it.
Could have sworn I got announcements for it while playing. Although, the times it actually does seem spotty.I agree, it is a bit frustrating especially with the weekly challenge to complete. I wish they would announce the event like they did for Forzathon Live in FH4.
If you think FH5's solo portion of the game is too long then maybe racing games aren't for you, because when you add up all the single player races (4 race types, about 15 races for each which take on average about 3 mins to complete) it works out to be about 3 hours of actual racing gameplay - that's not very much. Add another hour for the Goliath races and racing against trains and jet skis and you're only looking at 4 hours. I can't see how that's too long.Considering how Forza Horizon is set up, I actually think the solo portion of the game is far too long considering it's basically a glorified tutorial.
If you get bored after doing 1 race at each track/route racing games probably aren't for you.
I was more talking about the stuff like expeditions and showcases taking up too much time, not necessarily the number of races available. I would much rather spend my time doing actual races than a "race" against a train/plane/jetski/monster truck. If you think FH5's solo portion of the game is too long then maybe racing games aren't for you, because when you add up all the single player races (4 race types, about 15 races for each which take on average about 3 mins to complete) it works out to be about 3 hours of actual racing gameplay - that's not very much. I bought the Premium version of FH5, played it at exactly midnight on the 5/11 and took a week off work purely to play it....I think I'll stick with racing games thanks very much.
Well considering racing games largely revolve around repeating a same process you've done a ton of times, it makes your original statement all the more odd. Your opening sentence doesn't even make much sense. If you think FH5's solo portion of the game is too long then maybe racing games aren't for you, because when you add up all the single player races (4 race types, about 15 races for each which take on average about 3 mins to complete) it works out to be about 3 hours of actual racing gameplay - that's not very much. I misspoke, you're right there is an announcement. But it still sucks not having anyone to complete Horizon Arcade events alone.Could have sworn I got announcements for it while playing. Although, the times it actually does seem spotty.
I believe the drivers started doing this in FH4. No matter, it's fun to watch.Never noticed the driver dancing in the car during a skill song. Cool touch.
Yeah I know about the creation tool - I tried it in FH4 and with limited success - trying to create a course of any complexity would cause the race not to work properly and the interface was too annoying to fix it. The game does provide an infinite amount of options to create your own content, I just don't have a lot of interest in doing so. If I've got 3 hours of an evening to play a game, I want to play, I don't want to create - that's the developers job to create content, not mine. I don't disparage people who enjoy doing it, it's not just for me.I was more talking about the stuff like expeditions and showcases taking up too much time, not necessarily the number of races available. Also, you do know you can make circuit races longer right? Not to mention the fact you can make insanely long routes with the various creation tools. There's nothing saying you have to do the default 3 lap races.
My opening sentence was in response to another post which should provide context.Well considering racing games largely revolve around repeating a same process you've done a ton of times, it makes your original statement all the more odd. Your opening sentence doesn't even make much sense.
I set every single race that's not a sprint at 10-20 laps each. The single player content alone is going to last me a good while. literal days later and I still have a ton to do still - weird, since you're saying it's only 3 hours worth of racing. Always amazed that people absolutely rush in the fastest way possible and then get upset about it.
Thanks for that! I found a tune for the '94 Miata and got my top 5% time on that track!I managed to complete all the 5% Rivals challenges last night using one of the shortest Street Racing layouts, can't remember the name but it is located just north of the festival outpost:

All six classes done on the first attempt except 'D' (because I first tried it in a stock Mini, a terrible idea). All I did was find which car that I owned in each class had the highest speed figure, then auto-upgrade the car to the max level in the class.
My runs were very cautious to make sure I had a clean run and will be lucky to be in the top 50% once more players try to complete these challenges. This is definitely a good time to be completing these accolades.
Hooray!Among some others, yeah. I doubt you'll see them flooding the auction house anytime soon though.
Well yeah, putting an easily obtained super wheelspin on one of the cheapest cars in the game was something of a head scratcher.
In other news, look what else is working now!

My brother and I have played the game for over a week and we still have stuff to do. Last time I checked the total driving time was 18 hours so the career mode isn't short at all.If you think FH5's solo portion of the game is too long then maybe racing games aren't for you, because when you add up all the single player races (4 race types, about 15 races for each which take on average about 3 mins to complete) it works out to be about 3 hours of actual racing gameplay - that's not very much. I know it was, and it still makes little sense. It was a quick quip and that’s all. The content of single player is long, otherwise I wouldn’t be racing for 3-4 hours a day for a handful of days a week since release. My opening sentence was in response to another post which should provide context.
I'm not upset about the content, it's been the same with the previous FH games, I was just responding to a post that said the single player content was too long - which it clearly isn't because I finished all the single player races a week ago.
Presumably you're doing more laps for more XP and cash - but I also assume you're getting to first place in the first 2-3 laps and then just touring around on your own for the next 15 laps? If you enjoy that then that's cool but that's not for me.
Nobody's expecting you to create stuff. Just pick a race someone else has created. It's no more difficult than it is to select the prebuilt content. The point is that it potentially gives you a lot more stuff to play.Yeah I know about the creation tool - I tried it in FH4 and with limited success - trying to create a course of any complexity would cause the race not to work properly and the interface was too annoying to fix it. One reason I enjoy the Eliminator is that it's a different race each time. You can start anywhere on the map, you have no idea where the final arena is going to be, you don't know who you're racing against, and you don't know where the final checkpoint is going to be. It's endlessly entertaining.Nobody's expecting you to create stuff. Just pick a race someone else has created. It's no more difficult than it is to select the prebuilt content. It's also nice that the vehicles are random so the game isn't flooded with the exact same car.One reason I enjoy the Eliminator is that it's a different race each time. I've heard it triggers after doing one clean lap followed by a dirty one. I think they may be right as well since it didn't unlock for me until after I failed to post a clean time despite having done several clean times right before that session.Secondly, the daily challenge, to complete a clean lap in any Rivals event, it won't give it to me. I've done the Monthly Rivals, twice. and several other races on rivals. Nothing. I've already won the weekly cars, so it's just a completion thing. But anybody got any suggestions? Most of the other complaints some you have noted, haven't happened to me. So I guess this is just payback?
Yep, use the Mazda RX8 with the "Allrounder" tune with this code 186 616 980.I Still can't win the Weekly Forzathon featurng Modern Sports Cars. I've tried 7 times...anybody got any suggestions?
I used the GR Supra 2020 for that race series. Yeah you're right it wasn't easy. I think I finished third on the first race and won that last two.I Still can't win the Weekly Forzathon featurng Modern Sports Cars. I've tried 7 times. The lead cars in the 1st race are just gone after the 1st lap. the best I can do was 7th. I can get closer in the next races, but I finish no better than 2nd in the championship. I've tried every car, and some tuned to dirt. This was one of the things I HATED in FH4 where there were some races that were just impossible to win. and on the other hand I won some races with no trouble at all. Arrrgggh!

I've played FH5 for 40 hours, and I've really only begun to scratch the racing content. The majority of my time has been spent driving around, unlocking things, exploring/completing the roadmap. The game won't stop throwing cars, credits, and checkboxes at me just for spending time in it.Well considering racing games largely revolve around repeating a same process you've done a ton of times, it makes your original statement all the more odd. There's EventLab challenges that make the Unbeatable Accolades easier to earn. Can't remember them on the top of my head, but there's some on the Forza Discord.Just got the "Win 10 Road Races with Unbeatable Drivatars" accolade and free Lexus RC-F... after completing the expedition to set up the Baja or Land Rush or whatever festival co-op in a friend's game.
...I've maybe won 3 or 4 Unbeatable road races before I remembered they aren't fun because the AI is cheaty as hell.
I'll take it though... but it's been a buggy night for me.
Edit: and now we are setting up his Street Scene festival and after the cutscene in Guanajuato it switches my transmission to automatic for the second leg of the expedition.
THANKS! It worked like a charm. 4th in the first race, 1st and 1st. That first race though.Yep, use the Mazda RX8 with the "Allrounder" tune with this code 186 616 980.
