(Unrelated to the discussion) I just got the Mogul achievement, which can be obtained once you purchase all player houses. There's just one problem; I don't actually have all player houses yet. Should I (try to) contact Playground Games about this?

In the Horizon promo menu, the '03 Celica is listed as an SS-1, and the 1929 Merc is an SSK. Yet all the Chevies are still branded Super Sports.

That's odd. Perhaps the decision to censor the SS doesn't come from Microsoft, then, but from GM? But then, in other games (like The Crew), the SS badge is used on Chevys... Well, sort of, anyways. The 5th-gen Camaro is called the "SS", but I can't remember if it had the appropriate badge, and the Impala is a "Super Sedan", which... Okay, wasn't a SuperSport, but wasn't it also called "SS" in Chevy marketing material at the time?

I received my gift car just fine when I got one today only time it “froze” was when I upgraded my crown vic and it wouldn’t back out after I upgraded it, but after I restarted the game it was already saved with the upgrades still on it. Painting was fine too, I haven’t bought anything from the auction house yet.

Yeah, thankfully it appears that the game freezes after saving, rather than before. I got stuck in a saving loop after buying a car in the Autoshow, and afterwards the transaction had been recorded successfully. This is making me a lot less concerned about savefile corruption and a lot more hopeful it may be a minor "whoopsie" that could be corrected with a hotfix, but it's still annoying as hell.

Went to Surfers Paradise today and spotted a convoy of Lamborghini Huracans! The Huracan Evo (yellow and dark blue) is part of the upcoming Car Pass cars for Forza Horizon 5!

That's funny. I spotted a Huracan Evo here in Turin this afternoon... I'd seen some OG Huracans and even some Performantes in the neighborhood, but this was the first time seeing the refresh in the flesh.
And I had my doubts about it being a Car Pass-worthy before, but wow, it has a lot more presence than its predecessor, and the exhaust note is a marked improvement, too.

I still don't like the faux-ducktail much, tho.

I think this is the first time I've ever got all the cars in a series. I had to restart the game a couple or three times but overall getting the second car each week feels a lot easier than FH4 did to me.

The 1000 FP loaded up fine as well.

And the weird hang just before the race begins wasn't just in the video, every time a waypoint was placed from a challenge my game just hung up for a second or two, which I don't think was a problem in Eliminator before the recent patch.



Aside from that, I think something else is broken in Eliminator. I had the prompt on screen to challenge someone in front of me, hit the button, and nothing happened. Me and a few people were just chilling next to one of the car drops, no one able to challenge the others or receive the car drop with the message "Someone else beat you to it" for a good 30 seconds, so we all just split and went our separate ways. I challenged a few other players after that in the same game and it worked fine up until the clip above happened.

They sent everyone 1,000 to make up for the issues at launch, if you have the house that doubles Forza Points it also doubles that.

That on PC? I'm getting that too. It makes head-to-heads harder as you can end up facing the wrong way in that moment, very annoying.

Like @dirtydog asked I too wonder if you playing on a PC. I'm doing Eliminator quite often and never experienced the hung up on Xbone after the patch. And I often challenge others. If that is the case than players from older generations have an unfair advantage.
As for the.players I can't challenge they are always driving the Vocho. Was that the same for you too?

I finally acquired enough Porsches to unlock the 2019 911 GT3 RS FE, and it is a beast. I’ve used it successfully on every Arcade except drifting (and yes the Arcade is finally working for me now, even though all ten arcades I’ve participated in have been solo affairs.) Seriously, if you’re close to unlocking this (it’s the prize for collecting enough Porsches in the Car Collection), then do it.

Yeah, it's on PC.

It seems to happen pretty consistently even after a restart.

I got round to buying the Radical after I couldn't get it thanks to that issue with the Expedition not counting, but I also ran into the problem of the loading screen getting stuck, so closed the game and restarted and luckily I still had the car (I'm on Xbox Series S).

PG said they had fixed the problem of Convoy crews showing up and disappearing.
But in fact it seems to have gotten worse.
I was playing this week's playlist with a group of friends in convoy, and we tried everything: reuniting convoy, re-entering the session, restarting the game... and never once did we see them in Free Roam. Instead, other players who were not involved were definitely shown.

This game is not very enjoyable in the current state at all. The freezing, the garbage load times, etc. Every time I leave the auction house/auto show it’s some kind of freeze. I just fired it up to play for the first time today, and have had to restart twice already. I’ve been playing about 15 minutes.

I had the same last night. I managed to get enough done to pick up the Trueno and Mclaren from the seasonals, but I dont that I will bother playing much more in this state. Prior to the update I had the issues with a few accolades not triggering and arcade being a mess, but the game was still playable. Now it's just annoying.

6 failed attempts later, i've finally joined the Eliminati on my 7th attempt. Managed to put that Polaris Truck to good use. While it's still an improvement over my previous attempts, i'm still not happy with my current perfomance at this game mode, as i did some mistakes that could have costed me the match.

I also ran into the infinite save loop after upgrading a car for a championship. Kinda worried now to play. I don't want my save to get corrupted. This seems to be an issue on Series X only according to the forums and Discord. In any case, I sent a ticket, which I'm sure others have as well.

As for the Holiday update, I am actually happy about that. I asked for that in FH4, a nice change of scenery and will look amazing at night in HDR. Looking at the logo for it, Chinese New Year and Halloween are also in the future for map aesthetics.

Hope they fix these bugs and perhaps "Gold" the entire Season 1 for everyone since the Explorer task alone was basically impossible if you did everything in campaign already. (for those going for 100%)

Has anyone experienced this since the Horizon Arcade patch? I took on a Horizon Arcade Drift event. Quickly got the first one done, then drift on your way, and suddenly. You Failed to score any points! And I got a disconnect, I chose retry, but I was booted out of Arcade. This has happened now 3 times, The last being on the verge of getting all 3 events completed.

Tonight, I finally have an issue.
The #Forzathon Weekly Challenge, Chapter 3, says I have to win 3 Road Racing Series Events. I just won a Road Racing circuit event and a Road Racing sprint, but neither registered.

So Xbox SX... Randomly losing vibration on the controller and RB stops working trying to filter map.

Black streaks flashing in and out on the screen when at a house.

Rebooting game sorts it but happened twice now in 25min.

Managed to put that Polaris Truck to good use.

That was a really hard achievement! The Polaris is the worst Eliminator car imo. I lost to a lv4 BMW X5 in it. Even to a Mini Buggy... Yes, it has a good top speed, but the acceleration is worst than everything else. For a lv8 car it's just horrible.

This is going to be very nitpicky, but anyway... Some time ago I noticed that HUD tachometers very often go above what we can see in cars' interiors. I usually use outside camera to appreciate car models and noticed this when some cars were topping out way earlier than the tachometer would suggest. Here's a 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3, 2k RPM difference:

Other than that, I completed my BMW set today and checked these cars: 2018 M5, 2013 M6 coupe, 2012 M5, 2011 1M, 2008 Z4 M, 1988 M5, 1991 M3. 1-2k RPM above real tachos... All of them bone stock too, so no upgrades that would increase maximum RPM.
