Gone to set up a new EventLab ruleset idea and discovered that the new gravity modifier doesn't let you set it to a variable's value, only to a number. 😔

One value for the whole course? Damn, I had an idea which reduced gravity for a few checkpoints would have enhanced.


Also, snapping traffic cars for Promo still works in Solo. Haven't been able to catch the Jeep Wrangler or Ford Bronco yet, but I caught the BMW X5 after switching into a BMW X5; after not seeing one for two hours of driving the map, it was the fourth car I saw. And the fifth, sixth, and seventh. And now they're everywhere.

Same method yielded no Wranglers/Broncos

You'll be happy to know that idea is still doable as you can set the gravity to a value between 0.1 and 2 as many times as you like. What you can't do is set it to a value that also changes throughout the race in a variable.

The TL;DR of the mode (which I'm dubbing "Heavy Head", as in "Heavy is the head that wears the crown") is that you earn points for leading the race and the driver with the most points at the end wins, but earning points also increases your gravity, weighing and thus slowing you down, so it's all about trying to time getting in the lead and staying in it for as long as possible before you're too heavy to keep it.

That first part is simple enough, as you can just add to a variable for every tick that somebody is leading and set that as their score. What you can't do sadly is then use that variable to set the gravity, as that only allows for a set number between 0.1 and 2.

And sorry to inform some players, but there are not many cars with this gearbox that have a much more reduced PI.
The only ones I could confirm were RAESER and I-Pace. All other cars, including EV and CVT cars, either "no change in PI", "increase in PI", or "slight decrease in PI".
Therefore, it would probably be difficult to exploit this gearbox-induced PI nerf and create a meta-build.

The RAESR has to be a major bug, dropping its top speed down to 50mph with un-ajusted gears sounds like a miscalculation somehow. Given how terrible that car is to drive anyway, it's not going to be extremely competitive even 2 classes down.


Edit: Okay I take that back, just did an A-Class rivals on Festival Circuit out of curiosity and it's easily 10 seconds faster per lap than the BoneShaker. They'll have to patch this ASAP or else A-Class online racing is going to suck.

I can confirm that that is indeed the trick - traffic cars don't count for Promo online, only in Solo mode. Just tried it on the latest update, and switching back and forth between the two modes.

R.I.P. A class. I mean they did a very good job at getting rid of the Boneshaker issue, but that will cause so much problems now. The RAESR was also one of the most useless cars. For me at least. Now if you don't use it you will get DNF if one is in the race. Also watching the Boneshaker ahead of me getting DNF was kind of satisfying. I must confess.
I really like the new filters for Open, but I'm not sure about the Leaderboard. It's basically who grind more, like the Accolades. It also doesn't matter much if you win or not. It matters more if you complete all 3 races or not. You also level pretty fast too. Getting lv 900 wont take that much either. If someone wants to do it.

Edit: Oh, and the E-Pace can go to B class too. So that is another class problem. 😑

For whatever bizarre reason I was able to put the Toyota AT38 from the festival playlist on the AH with a buyout price of 20 mill. There is an achievement for that, both to sell and to buy a car for 20 mill I believe. Normally this is only possible at a certain painter level? I’m not even remotely close to being a popular painter so I’m not sure what’s going on here.

Could anyone be so kind to buy it out for 20 mill? I’ll return the favour and buyout whatever car you want for 20 mill as well (please use a junk car as I already have all cars in the game and don’t want duplicates).

Another easy car to do this achievement with is the Beetle FE bud. I sold mine and just bought one straight back. Yes you do lose some money because the AH keeps some but it's an easy way to do it.

I did it with the Aventador SVJ a while back. I'm only back to 14m at the mo, otherwise I'd help out.

It worked ok for me. I did have a similar problem a few Forzathons ago with the 777 Drift Car. I cleared my cache on the Xbox and that fixed the issue for me. It might be worth a try?

Any tips to finding specific traffic cars?

I'm still missing the X5, Wrangler, base Beetle (not the Story one, done that) and Beetle taxi.

I found the X5, Raptor and Corrado all parked outside houses. The Beetle taxi and Wrangler are everywhere in my game. The only other Beetle the game said I was missing was the Vocho story one. I took a pic of the rally Beetle from that story and it popped.

...so that rules out most muscle cars, aka the ones that would actually make the most use out of an adjustable 4 speed.

That's actually very unfortunate. I have an A-Class '69 drift Camaro that I'd love to have this drift transmission on, will have to check once I get home tonight.

Anyway can't find the auction due to too many cars. The last on the list is 22min, so even all 1h won't show. It will be difficult I tell you. But eventually will buy it, don't you worry. 👍

Anyway here is a pro tip for the CloverLeaf badge (Lucky Streak). You need to win 3 games in a row. Easily done by doing Seasonal PGG (Playlist ones). The trick is to just quit the games when you are loosing. It's like cheating but I can imagine the frustration of winning two games in a row and then lost the third... multiple times... over and over... like it happened to me several times and it's annoying... believe me. Cheating is bad, but it helps a lot!

How did they banned it from Rivals and Open Racing so fast? Even the Willys took a few weeks!😂
Anyway you can still use it in the Custom Open and the Tour. So it's still there for some reason.

No one seems to care about this poor car, but I-Pace has also been banned from those events.
Yes, this car was also a car whose PI was greatly reduced by the drift gearbox, but as some users have already pointed out, this car was not fast enough to be OP like Raesr.

As a lover of modest performance electric cars, my condolences go out to this poor SUV.
