I'm a tea first. Add the bag to very hot water (not boiling), leave it to stew for a good 3-4 minutes for full flavour. Add a splash of milk and good to go.

I dislike how they presented Hi-Low as being 13 chapters. Like so many other existing stories, it's six chapters (and listed as such) for each of the two "decisions". With one starter chapter.

Also I'm very much suspecting this new car pack is a toe in the water for FMn8's post-launch DLC strategy.

Interesting thought. It's certainly possible. I'm surprised we haven't seen more purchasable cars as DLC to be honest. Glad we haven't, but surprised .

I'm happy with the car pack. I'm perfectly happy paying for new content for games that I enjoy. I've said before I would be open to purchasing a car pack to enable more content to be added.

It's so resource intensive to model and produce the cars that I'm surprised we get as many new cars as we do for free.

I got everything that was advertised in the Season Pass so I'm perfectly happy to pay for more new content. I just hope the usual tight-fisted misers who expect everything for free dont complain so much that this is the only one they do. Every couple of months It would be great to have a couple of new cars added in a pack.

The price compares favourably to FH4's Hot wheels pack - that was 6 cars for $10 (on Steam at least), as compared to 4 cars for $5 in FH5.

If FM2023 is keeping all tracks as free DLC, then I'll happily buy car packs once the 30 car pass has finished. No issue there.

It is a real shame that Tacoma is not on this list. I was only looking forward to this truck.

They did say there was teasers in the dialogue during the story, so maybe there is a Donut 3 story for later.

I'm pretty disappointed the Emira is paid DLC, but the rest of the series is decent.

Things I like about S22:

• Lots of cars
• New rims is always nice.
• Story looks a lot more fleshed out than last time and could be actually kinda decent for a change
• Test Track feature looks neat and it being multiplayer is very nice
• Some nice returning cars on the playlist like the Lynk and the Singer!

Things that are slightly disappointing about S22:

• No new Bodykits or parts in a series called "Upgrade Heroes"
• A few of the new cars really don't fit the theme IMO.
• Test Track doesn't look like it features a lap time feature like on FM7.

Car Pack is an interesting one - if it means we get more content then I'm happy with car packs returning. Just as long as they're all new to Forza cars.

The troglodytes on Twitter have taken to the news of paid DLC well. Apparently it should’ve been included in the Ultimate Edition since ‘that’s what they paid for’. If only there was a detailed description or a handy chart highlighting what that upgrade offered before launch!…

Negativity aside, I’ll be picking the pack up for sure; it’s cheap enough and I find the cars included far more usable than the Hot Wheels ones in FM4’s. Those were all neat cruisers, but at that point I had little incentive to find a use for them. After 500 hours of playtime, I don’t think a £3.99 pack of good cars is where I draw the line.

Also very happy the Black Series is back, that’s been one of my go-to cars in any Forza game since it first arrived in FM3, and it was one of the few I have sorely missed. While there are tons of others I’d like to see again, the regular MC12 is the only other one I’m personally desperate to see back. Anything else would just be a bonus really.

One thing I noticed that's probably just a typo

On the forza.net article it says the 1966 Chevrolet Nova is a reward for the "Getting Sidetracked" accolade. Though the 66' Nova isn't in the game - I imagine they mean the 69 Nova.

MIF only works with teapots. If you use a teabag the milk coats the bag and prevents it brewing properly when you pour the water in.

Unpopular opinion: me personally is actually rooting for this paid DLC/car pack solution. There's people complaining the quality of the updates starting from Horizon 3/4 era and some other guys are defending that MS cannot make enough revenue out of the Horizon games - no microtransaction (whereas most other rivals have this feature), no paid DLCs/car packs (apart from the Hot Wheels car pack for FH4 which comes at a rather late timepoint during its lifespan), etc. Maybe the revenue model of Horizon series is different from the free-to-play games (most of them have paid content updates and 'Season Pass' thingy, for example Rocket League, Fall Guys etc.). For now I believe most of the players are enjoying the game via Game Pass, and the others are paying only once for a particular version of the game and there's basically nothing else they can 'support PG/MS' (apart from the Treasure Map of course).

I was thinking that, if paid DLC can make them release more 'fancy' cars that the community wants, and keeping their revenue on a healthy level, then this might not be a bad idea.

That's how it used to be back before FM7, paid monthly DLC packs after the season pass expired. I seem to remember FM6 had a bunch of them. IIRC it like 7 cars for 7$.

I'm in team car packs to return for payment just like everybody else. Because one, I want to support PG/T10 as much as possible because I trust them more than any other racing developer right now. Two, because I love FH5 and still play it today. And three, PG's current efforts after three AMAZING updates they've put out! If it means we can get certain New-To-Forza cars in packs for a buck, than I'm all in, especially if it means helping PG to increase their revenue to put out more cars.

I don't mind car packs. Ofc it would be nice to have everything in the premium bundle, but considering how many free cars they've added, I think it's fine.


Besides, as long as it stays below $2/car, it's good value. Especially since I pay $7/month just to rent private servers for messing around with friends on AC. I spent an entire month trying to get portforwarding to work, but ofc ISP won't let you have nice things. Not to mention the amount of time spent on getting a controller to work, alongside updating and installing mods.

It's just nice to have a game that just works (most of the times) and provides free cars (most of the times).

The Syclone/Typhoon are good enough for me, the rest of the stuff could be clothing and I'd still be happy. I hope they are both V8 and RWD swappable.

Maybe I'm alone in this, but I actually prefer a pack of 4-6 cars once a month than the 1 car every week thing they did with FH5's season pass. It was fun feeling like I had several new toys to play with and it kinda energized me for the game a bit, where as the weekly thing would have made several weeks duds for me and wouldn't have made me eager to jump on and check them out.

This happens with every game that puts out a "Collector's Edition" or "Complete Edition" or whatever with season passes and stuff. Even when what is included is plainly laid out there are people that are surprised by content they don't get for free and take to the internet to complain.

Depending on someone's financial situation, I understand a bit. If they don't get to buy many games and save up or fork out for the big fancy version that is supposed to have all the stuff, then a bunch of stuff comes out that isn't included and they now need to find more money to spend, I can see being kinda annoyed. SnowRunner ran into this by releasing a bunch of individual trucks that aren't included in any Year Pass things.

In this case, where it's kinda "extended life DLC" I don't see it as a big deal really though. I won't personally be buying it though. The Emira is cool kinda and the most versatile in the pack, the Altima is really cool but seems useless in the context of Horizon, the Ford is a big meh as I can just upgrade one of the Raptors we already have in the game if I wanted to drive a Ford pickup (I don't), and the Huayra is no doubt a cool car and I think it's cooler than most hypercars, but I just don't drive stuff like that in Horizon unless I have to.

You'd think people would realise that, but obviously not if the backlash is anything to go by.

Of course the quality of the content you'll get is subjective; FH1 and FM5's DLC that was covered by their car passes were full of stuff returning from old games or baffling additions (the Halo themed SVT Raptor in FH1 for example), which people were understandably miffed by. To add salt in the wound, monthly car packs after the passes ended included mostly new and interesting models. They obviously acknowledged this, as nearly all the DLC for all the games since then has been pretty good all things considered, even though the 'louder' members of the community will still moan.

This is just a fun fact I guess, but with the AMG GT BS and Emira finally coming to Forza, it's only the Countach and 718 Spyder/GT4 left now from NFS Unbound as far as new hot cars go that it had and Forza did not yet.

The Countach is bound to happen sooner or later given how highly requested it is and the great relationship Forza has with Lambo, after the Sian and STO it should come soon I hope, with maybe the Sterrato as well.

As for the 718 Spyder/GT4, I am wondering what's taking so long, though at this point I guess the Spyder RS/GT4 RS are gonna come to Forza, together with the Turbo S and GT3 RS I hope, and perhaps the SC and Dakar too.

Indeed - though the less said about FM7's initial plans for monetisation the better!

However, with... well, let's call them "various" approaches to monetisation since then in racing games, T10 may well be having some difficulty in deciding the path to follow; clearly in terms of tracks they've gone for the GT route of "all free to everyone" (when they could go the path of "you can play it if it's selected by the lobby host/scheduled event, but it's paid in any other situation" route), but cars could be any approach.

Slipping a four-car pack into FH5 and seeing the reaction is a way to gauge what players will accept.


Even though the Premium Edition does clearly spell out what's in it and makes no mention of future add-on DLC packs, it's easy to see why some players are pissed about it. They bought what they thought was the complete version of the game, and it's not; they need to pay another $5 to get it (and who's to say there's not more of these in the future?) on top of whatever the Premium Edition cost in the first place.

In fact there isn't a complete version of the game, and that's very much a modern-gaming problem. But then players have proven that they will accept that too.

It's not difficult to see that some people may have thought they were buying the all-inclusive edition and feel that, for the sake of a measly fiver, this new pack should be in it though, surely?

The fact that there isn't a version of the game (and FH5 is far from the first, last, or only example of this) that is all-inclusive is just a symptom of modern gaming. People kicking off about it might be wrong in terms of facts (the Premium Edition never said it would include everything) but are at least showing some kind of resistance to this practice; there's just not enough of them any more to make a difference.
