So I actually checked out the news post to see how much the E-Ray was goin' for on the Auction House:

I paid 138,000 credits for mine when I got it from the Auction House, the day the car went live, so I actually saved about 43,000 credits doing it. Score!

One thing they didn't mention was if the new GT cars are getting a new car class. It would be terrible if they all get thrown in Track Toys.

They should make a new Forza GT class for the 9 new GTE/GT3 cars, add the Ferrari Challenge and Lambo ST into it. Perhaps even BoP the KTM GT2 with a new restrictor plate and put it there too.

I think they'd be more likely to get tossed into Extreme Track Toys, but... honestly Track Toys is the best place for them, it describes them the best.

iirc they split the Lynk&Co/MG TCR cars, the KTM Xbox R and Ferrari Challenge (Track Toys) from the KTM GT4, GT2, Lambo Essenza and Lambo Super Trofeo (Extreme Track Toys). Didn't make much sense to me.

In my opinion they should have a separate category for stuff which you can't buy with a license plate and drives on tracks using slicks, from road cars which can be driven on the road and used on track.

Edit: Also to point out that we haven't had any new car divisions added since launch, despite getting nearly 300 new cars since then. This group of GT cars is the perfect time to consider shaking things up a little.

Well this is definitely one of the updates of all time, not too excited about it but should be fun enough.

I feel like a GT3 RS and a Civic Type R, plus a few new race and drag routes would’ve made it great.

As for the next update, bring on the 80s, and if the new Countach won’t be part of it, hands will be thrown.

I mean, that's mostly what the Extreme Track Toys category is, no? It's mostly either limited production supercars that are really meant to be driven on the track or racecars primarily produced in response to homologation requirements being met. I wouldn't imagine it going anywhere else--although I would most certainly prefer if Retro Supercars got split off into both Retro Supercars and a Retro Track Toys category.

Reddit being positive about this update is scaring me.

Hah, well, if we hate an update it should stand to reason that the Forza Reddit loves it, I'm starting to think. Outside of Extreme E and maybe Horizon Customs, there really hasn't been an update that was universally hated by every single Forza community body.

Its pretty wild how FH5 has some race/track cars that even FM23 does not have..yet. The Elantra TCR is a big one and would boost the touring car division in FM23 even more.

In that respect it's oddly funny that the Elantra TCR is free in FH5 yet new to Forza franchise, whereas the entire 7 car paid DLC pack is lifted straight from FM23

Ok, I've had a good look at the current GT cars in FH5.

Track Toys category is mostly road legal cars which are built for amateur track days, but does include:

• TCR cars : Lynk & Co, MG : both A800
• McLaren 620R : S1-872 (when you put it on slicks, it's actually road legal by default)
• Ferrari 488 Challenge (GT2 equivalent) : S2-911

Then in Extreme Track Toys we currently have various GT4, GT2 and GT1 class cars:

• KTM X-BOW GT4 : S1-845
• Lambo Super Trofeo Evo (GT2 equivalent) : S2-906
• KTM X-BOW GT2 : S2-931
• Porsche 935 (this is GT2 based) : S2-932
• Aston Martin Vulcan AMR Pro : S2-953
• Lamborghini Essenza (GT1) : S2-967
• Brabham BT62 (supposedly GT2 spec) : S2-974
• Pagani Huayra R (GT1) : S2-985
• Ferrari FXX-K Evo (GT1) : S2-998

So GT3 and GTE cars should be in the S2 910-920 range (they will have more aero but less top speed than the Lambo Super Trofeo and Ferrari Challenge, which in FH5 physics means they won't be any higher PI).

Heck, they might even BoP all of the GT cars to S1-900, like they used BoP on the TCR cars for A-800.

At this point they're probably gonna use that blank-slate GT3 R to say 'this is the GT3 RS you're going to get, the GT3 is the road-legal variant.'

I'm just missing the Opi Nail Ford GT and the Ford 32 controller exclusive. I know I won't get them now.

Sierra Sierra basically folded a few years after and most of the staff went to Lyfe Motorsport, which specialises in R35 GT-R tuning, so the Evo was put on the backburner/forgot about. I'm surprised it actually still exists.

This is a minority opinion, but as an off-road racing fan, I am little disappointed that this season and the next season (I'm not talking about Retrowave) were basically tarmac-focused updates.

I wish there was an offload version of the next update.
And give me a real off-road racer like a DAF Turbotwin or a Peugeot 405 T16.
