Honest opinion: As someone who was skeptical of Forza Horizon in Japan as something which could signal a potential creative bankruptcy from PG, FH6 (so far) seems to prove anything but that - it looks fabulous. Also, not to sound too much like a pro-corporate advertiser (looking at you IGN), but I could tell from yesterday's Developer Direct that there is alot of passion and dedication from the team towards showcasing Japan in a Horizon-friendly yet accurate and respectful way, and I do wonder if that passion also bleeds its way towards the innovation as well. I mean, come on, customizable garages? yes pleasee :D

Oh, and this game is gonna have a Honda e. Even if the Developer Direct was as similarly vague as last year's teaser, that alone would tell me PG still hadn't lost their "doing something different" touch. Though it probably also helps that I personally like the car itself :sly:

A thought has occurred to me: will the adjustable tire profile modification introduced in FH5 make the jump? Maybe get offered on more cars? If that's the case, it should be a lot easier to dial in that "pro street" look.

Q: How does Forza Horizon 6 perform on Xbox Series X|S?

Forza Horizon 6 includes both 30FPS Quality and 60FPS Performance options. Stay tuned for more details about these rendering modes closer to release.

Q: How can PC players get the most from Forza Horizon 6?

Forza Horizon 6 unleashes the power and flexibility of the PC platform with enhanced ray tracing, and high uncapped framerates. Experience 4K visuals supported by NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and XeSS.

Q: What are the minimum and recommended PC specs for Forza Horizon 6?

Forza Horizon 6 is optimized to play great across a wide range of PCs. While we’ve shared our minimum system requirements for Forza Horizon 6 on the Steam pre-order page, we intend to reveal our finalized PC specs closer to release.

Good to see 60FPS confirmed as expected.

I wonder what system was used for the footage that we got. It looked a lot sharper than FH5 on performance mode on Series X.

Wait I saw a random post on reddit that said that you'll be able to leave your car and walk around the map is that true?

A random post on Reddit is a terrible source for information.

If we're being incredibly optimistic, perhaps waking around the garage will be possible, but I highly don't it, I'm sure they would have said something about it during the VT.

Maybe??

We will have to wait for more footage/info.

Afaik we should be getting more interviews today.

Good first impression.

There's a few things I'm waiting to find out but there's 4 months till launch:

  • How many cars in a race, is it more than the 12 there were previously.
  • How many cars in a convoy.
  • Can liveries and vinyl groups be imported from previous games.
  • What improvements are there to Creative Hub features, design sharing, discovery etc.
  • Can tuning setups be downloaded directly from Rivals leaderboards.
  • How is multiplayer structured, is there a ranked mode.
  • How does setting up private multiplayer races differ from previous games, can championships be run.

Screenshot of car meet finally confirm that the autech bodykit for stagea is making its way to FH6 after its 3D model found on FH5 Stagea. Also the widebody shown for new Integra Type S is made by Tony Star Performance and Honda E widebody is made by Innovate Composites. Both of the brands are also mentioned on the text strings of Forza Motorsport

It looks great. good to see that there is some progression this time.

I started my xbox this morning to see the preorders.
In Europe it is:
Standard - 69,95
Deluxe - 99,95
Premium 119,95

So 20 Euro's more for the whole package. Considering the amount of hours I will put into it it does not really make a difference for me.
It's the whole package for the time being, the newer car pack DLCs will likely be not included.

They didn't say anything about the size of the convoy or the number of cars in the races.

However, they mentioned 12 people twice. I think that was in relation to friends visiting their house and the EventLab CoLab (if I'm wrong, someone correct me).

I just realized, Torben's now the design director of FH6. As in, the same guy behind Torben Tuesdays way back in FH4.

Not to diss, but I hope that the first year of FH6 would be far better than the first year of FH5 (till the two expansion packs come out), with more New to Forza cars/360-era cars.

At the very least, the car packs are all new to Forza cars. I do hope we get Torben Tuesdays back.
I do hope that the post launch free-to-play content (e.g. Festival Playlist stuff) will be as good as post Rally Adventure FH5's content.

I found it. On the FAQ page.

Q: What can we expect from Drag Meets in Forza Horizon 6?

Drag Meets are Shared Open World drag races around Japan. Each Drag Meet grid hosts 12 car slots for 12 players in total.

Looking at this picture again, what people are saying is a motorcycle is the spoiler on the Lancer. Sorry to disappoint people.
I can't say for sure what it is you're looking at, but this white, motorbike-bodied thing with a single seat plus pillion, single rear wheel, windscreen, mirror, fuel tank, and exhaust sure doesn't look like the rear wing of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TME...

Though personally I reckon it's a garage decor prop and not a vehicle for the game itself. But maybe.

Well, that's a better quality picture than most I have seen, but I still think that is nothing more than a garage decoration and we won't have bikes, love to be proven wrong though.

I should add that what I know about bikes couldn't fill the back of a postage stamp in 96pt font, but the screen looks like Suzuki GSX-R to me and as a whole it doesn't even remotely suggest a Ducati Panigale.

  • He mentions that the lobbies are 12 players. Might be referring directly to the drag lights.
  • Customization of the cars in a particular part of the trailer.

  • Tokyo City will have traffic lights
  • The Mech vs. GR GT is a showcase event
  • The cover art is based on classic Japanese art style
  • Super/Hypercar and Off roader is a formula that represents Horizon
  • Usually they go for different manufacturers, but this time it was all Toyota
  • Touge event plays differently in single player and multiplayer.
  • Cars seen in these event show up in interesting ways
  • (AE86 is specifically mentioned)
  • Representation of car meets, back country circuits and Racing on the C1 across classics and modern cars was their aim
  • The GM of GR and Torben Ellert discussed about people all around the world experiencing the aspirational halo car in the first 10 minutes of the game.
  • Cars are the most expensive/engineered things people own, associated with fashion. The feeling of driving these is what Horizon is, according to Torben
  • Initial drive in FH6
  • will have you drive the GR GT across the Highlands biome (middle of the map), Suzuki(?) grass around you. Sunset vibes, Tokyo city in the distance, racing towards the festival. Once you get there, fireworks go off and planes fly over head. After this the campaign begins, where you are a tourist driving to Tokyo city (not the festival). You'll have to work to get into the festival.
  • "Become a racing legend": You can enjoy the game at your own pace as it is discovery based (taking photos, exploring). But the game is also about aspiring to be a racing legends (wrist bands). Allows for freedom.
  • Torben says he is excited about customizable garages as a player (using an advanced form of event lab). And the region on the map with the permanent eventlab with friends as well along wiith building each garage with themes and specific cars to showcase is.
  • [*]GR GT3 - can't talk about it
    [*]
