Has anyone got pics of the festival playlist yet, or is it not active yet?
It wasn't active during the review window (and I only got to see Summer and Spring seasons; the snow in the resort is there all the time contrary to what some reviews have said), and I think it's only slated to begin next Thursday (21st).

Autodrive is hilarious, and can be hilariously bad in very high performance cars.

Not going to do anything fancy will just wait for the unlock at midnight today, or more realistically will just get up and start playing in the morning.

I'm curious if anyone has started playing on PC already, on something like a 3080 12gb, if the game can be playable with RTGI or not at 1440p.
I'm region locked until 11:00 p.m. today on PC. I'm also aiming for a high settings/1440p experience, but with an RTX 4070 Super.

And the Digital Foundry video on FH6 should give you an idea of how it looks with RTGI enabled.

Here you go! I tried to put up a list with all the cars that never made into more than one Horizon game (even if they're available in some Motorsport games). I've also marked if they've been released as DLC (either paid or free) or if they were part of the base game.

There's a few in there that have been in multiple forza horizons (International Scout 800 and Italdesign Zerouno where the two I spotted, there may be more though). I know Don Joewon Song has videos on the cars that only appear in 1 game.

Nonetheless, really hoping the next few playlists add more than just 4 cars.

Well, it's been a LONG wait and it feels like it's been forever since the announcement.

But it's finally released today, with a fantastic major city and lots of stuff to explore and find around the map!

Yes folks, Illinois is here at last...

Oh and FH6 looks great as well :D

One thing I'm slightly sad about is the fact the honda city doesn't have the turbo 2 body options I think it's a bit of a missed opportunity unless they are planning on bringing in the turbo 2 at some point.

Mei's Tokyo day trip is a good way to add some more snaps to my promo checklist. The Welsh drifting bloke from FH4 and 5 also showed up even though he drives like a bloody maniac. Iechyd da, boyo!

After the trip a whole bunch of new mascots showed up on the map. Think I need a break after five hours' straight play before I doze off in the middle of the dockside gymkhana zzz.

Now I can drive up and down Interstate 57 just like I do all the time IRL!

Speaking of, the wait till 11pm tonight (just under 11 hours) is gonna be a long one, especially while I'm at work. 🫥

Really not happy to find out that Steam users are getting screwed over, for not buying from Microsoft.
While I have to wait "only" 6 hours longer to play, then the Xbox/Microsoft Store users, some people have to wait up to 18 hours longer with this forced global release for the Steam version. They literally get scammed out of a day advanced access that they paid for.

Another nitpick, GPU runs hot while in menu. If you set your game up to run with FrameGen, it runs fine with about 70 - 80% GPU utilization. But as soon as you go into the menu, FrameGen is off and your GPU runs at 100%.

I whish there was a switch to set menu to 30 FPS to save some energy and heat...

Had a look at the R32. Comes with Do-Luck and Top Secret parts, as well as parts from the '90 Nismo (As well as the Pandem kit)

I had a hard time finding a good video to confirm it because everyone showing off the vinyl editor is speeding up their videos by something like 500%, but from this JackUltraGamer clip it looks like fonts are the same mediocre collection, just more well-organized. Looking at all that blank space has me (slightly) hopeful they'll add more in the future, but that's one of the few things PG has never really expanded over the years so I'm doubtful.

that is a steam issue nothing Microsoft could do,

Steam does global releases for all games, Happened with TXR'25, happens with Forza

not sure if I should put it in a spoiler but it's such a shame some of the launch cars are locked behind the playlist, i really wanted to drive the huayra r and the lotus emira, but I have to wait until the festival playlist starts I guess

I could see the Scout be reintroduced via playlist or DLC because of International and Scout being acquired by Volkswagen and the subsequent reintroduction of the Scout brand in 2027. That's probably why it's not in there at the moment.

And it's been made quite clear on the Steam page ever since pre-orders opened that the early access period would start at that time. Nobody's getting "scammed" because it was explained right up front.

I recorded a full tour of the editor: https://www.xbox.com/en-gb/play/media/jzzngt5nht

You can’t sell Treasure Cars in the Auction House.

Can you delete them from your garage though?

Let’s say you got one for the Achievement but it’s not a car you might ever use.

92 metacritic! Very impressive
Very hard for a racing game to get anywhere near this high anymore.

Forza Horizon 6 running at 60 fps at 1080p native low preset with TAA on a GTX 1060 6GB. Glad to see Horizon 6 carries over the great performance that Horizon 5 had; even in the new big city.

In fairness to Steam, their approach is the sensible one and it's MS who should change to everyone getting access at the same time. It doesn't make any sense for people in some countries to have a competitive advantage for getting legendary tuner/painter status by getting their tunes/liveries up first.

I'd have to imagine it is extremely difficult to make something as relatively-niche as a semi-realistic open-world arcade racer appeal to the massive audience that PG has captured with this series. You'll never appease everyone with the cars you include or exclude, the features, or just about anything. But, it's quite impressive that Horizon has appealed so universally to so many people. Heck, my fiancée, who didn't give two you-know-whats about cars until I came along, is even excited to play together with me this time around.

Unfortunately, we also see what happened with Forza Motorsport: Turn 10 at least tried to innovate in so many ways, and it ended up blowing up in their face (to no fault of their own). It has to be insanely difficult to find that balance, and I give PG lots of credit for what they've accomplished (even if the Horizon series isn't and never will be perfect).
