While I havent really noticed( or payed attention actually) it, I do know that direct sunlight, or bright yellowish ambient lighting will play some funny tricks on mesh grills, plastic area's, and tail lights.

Just built this car today with a LT1 (C7 Corvette) engine swap and I'm still unsure about whether I want to add some form of forced induction to it. This will be my online cruiser and I may occasionally slide around with it just to have something different.

Man that thing is Beast!

That last shot appears to be the sweet spot for this game in terms of angle, weather, lighting and aperture. Almost PCars good.
