Seems there's only one RUF and you've got to preorder to get it  Think I read there's another coming in DLC and the Noble is for Limited editions.

Really disappointing considering all the Porsche content has gone they've done this. I might just wait a few weeks for a price drop as the cheapest I can find is £35 and weirdly many standard editions are £38-40. FM3 standard could be had for £30 before launch. I need to save money and spend it on DLC to make the game complete.

The new cars that might lessen the blow of the ton of Porsche's emitted aren't included.

I preordered the LCE of Forza 3 but after 3-4 weeks it was £20 at many sites

Actually, there are 3 RUFs. One is included in the base game, one is VIP via LCE and the other is part of the "Bonus Launch Pack" which all people should get on day one, providing they buy a new copy of the game and don't leave it for a few months before purchasing.

But I agree that the omission of Porsche is quite a blow, particularly because they are the German arch-rivals of Ferrari and Lamborghini and really the only major German manufacturer that can compete with the stallions and raging bulls.

However, Forza 2 & 3 were the only current gen racers that featured Ferrari and Porsche in the same game so I suppose it's not all that surprising that FM4 won't have them this time. Much like EA can't get Ferrari. I just hate that kind of petty, narrow-minded childishness. Thing is, I don't think T10 could have done anything to really substitute Porsche: they are historical and racing icons.
It's great that they have included even more manufacturers like Noble, Oldsmobile, Hummer, GMC, Suzuki and Tesla but they can never replace Porsche.

Here is my summary of the Forza 4 demo:

-Sound is amazing; misses a few aspects of Shift 2 though
-Graphics are impressive; IBL helps a lot
-There's no photo mode in the demo but you can tell it will be good
-AI is greatly improved. In Forza 3, the AI might hit you if your parked in the middle of a straight, now they go around you
-Opponent car sounds are also improved
-Physics are GT5 like

However I noticed a few faults
-AI can sometimes feel magnetic
-Some animations can be off; I paused the game in cockpit view and my right hand (In-game) was flying all over the place
-The STi sounds like a V6 and not a Boxer engine
-BMW F10 M5 sounds like an Audi TT-RS from FM3

Please let me know if you find it. Its much to loud and taking away from the car sound. I can hear the Zonda making all sort of crakling sounds and backfires but the damn music muffles it quite a bit.

I did the work around. I just opened up the mini guide and played a custom song, and paused that song. Works great.

Okay, thanks for letting me know, still its quite paltry. I understand the license issue but some other nice cars to be included in the normal game would be nice to attract me to buy it and make up for the loss. I not expecting every RUF, just a bit less BS DLC. I mean I don't mind missing out on exclusive paint jobs or special T10 version but I've got FM3 with a ton Porsche's. Would be nice to not have to spend £50 or whatever on some LCE or DLC just to get a Noble.

I'll be getting it soon and I'm excited for the game, new tracks etc but if the Noble and RUF's plus other cars were included I'd buy it day 1. Just a bit tight for money right now and don't feel OMG I need this right now. I bought F1 2011 on PC just recently for only £18.

No worries, its business. Just for me this year I'm inclined to wait a bit.

I do feel sorry for the devs, since late 2008, new games are half price very quickly.

Is anyone watching the American Le Mans Race at Road Atlanta? They just showed the Road Atlanta track in Forza 4. It looked amazing. The new lighting makes the track look even better then the one in Forza 3.

Please God no. I was hoping closer to iRacing or Race Pro.

Imo the physics are still more like FM3 than GT5 although it has gone very slightly in the direction of GT5 but in a good way imo. At first it seemed the cars were harder to control but after I got used to it they are pretty easy. It could be because of the track however. Pretty much every corner is either on an up hill or down hill or the corner is banked. Also most of the track is wide as hell. I'm going to reserve full judgement on the physics until I get on a proper track.

Another thing to think about is I have played allot of demos and allot of them seem to feel like the physics have been altered by the time you get the actual game so it could still end up changing.

Ya. It is hard to get a feel on the physics due to the track. I think the slowest corner is that hairpin which you do at about 90 mph. Very fast track and very wide sweeping corners.

Hey Zoo check out my Zonda time when you get a chance. I want to get a better time with the M5 but I hate getting through the traffic in that car.

Ya, I will try to beat your Zonda time. But I really can't compete with you on a controller doing hot laps. I had you beat in the 458 twice. Damn AI loves to move over at the last second. I was so frustrated I nearly threw my controller; and that usually only happens playing COD.

I hear ya on the the AI always cutting you off. Thats what I can't stand about those events. That's why I decided I was just going to stick to the Zonda event tonight.

You must be dying to get that CSR. Any word on when you should be getting it?

Darin Gangi said that "the ship is close to port" very early Thursday morning and that they would be shipping as soon as they can. I'm sure the Cali. Fanatec office accepted delivery sometime Friday/Saturday. My guess is 2-3 days of processing at the very most possibly shipping mid-end of next week. Their website says 5-7 days of shipping time once the order has been placed and approved. Well, I can't really go by that because I placed my pre-order on the 19th lol. Texas isn't that far from California so I am hoping for an Oct. 10-12 delivery date.

Cool. Looks like you may get it just in time for release day. The anticipation must be killing you.
