We're all Forza fans, otherwise we wouldn't be here ;)

As fans of this franchise we all want the games to be tailored to our needs, or have opinions on "what the development team should do". These normally take the form of wishlists, and below you will find a large one I compiled and will be keeping track of during the pre-release period. I may also add to it if certain features appear to be highly requested by others.

The end goal is that if somebody wants to know "Will Forza Motorsport 7 be the game I want it to be?", that they can check this list and make the right call and choose whether or not the game is for them.

I'll be checking off the boxes as things get confirmed, hopefully it proves useful :)

I just hope It's 1080p/60fps on Xbox One S (and the regular one of course). Other than that it would be nice to have VWs back and maybe a bit better AI and generally small improvements here and there like ability to choose a colour of your car in free play. 700 cars and dynamic (it seems like this from what I saw, I think it'll be on selected tracks like Nurburgring or LeMans, still nice) weather makes me pretty hyped for the game but I'm hoping it won't impact the performance on non-X consoles.

Gran Turismo has a top 10 leader board for each track (lap time) for single player free play. I want that function so bad.

I would love to see some track customization but I know this won't be a priority for until maybe 2 - 3 more games in the motorsport series. Where they can make it fully fledged out, GT tried and either was limiteed (GT5) or had to rely on an outside source to make them. (GT6) So as much as I would love the feature I know it likely won't be a thing for a long time due to Turn 10s current focus and how difficult it would be to put it in, in this kind of genre.

All cars available from the start in Freeplay, with the ability to choose manufacturer colors. The only thing I'd like to add to Freeplay, besides the already noted Blueprint.

Exactly. I have no idea why wouldn't they let us choose (at least manufacturer) colors for cars in freeplay.
I think what Forza 7 will lack in, Project Cars 2 will make up for. Just hoping I'll be able to somehow get both, and I don't even have DiRT 4 yet.

They honestly had me at 700 cars at launch. Can't wait to see what's been added.

I already have the Ultimate Edition preordered too.

Have in mind FM6 with all DLC (605 cars, not including Forza Team cars) plus all the cars FH3 had and FM6 didn't (roughly 100 cars, not including HE cars) makes...710 cars or so when I checked. So space for new cars is tight, not without cutting many other things, or raising the total to 730 cars for example (would still be +700 cars)

Whatever cars are missing in the final list better not be as great as the ones they dropped for FH3. I'm hoping they start by leaving out buggies and pickup trucks. They serve no purpose in FM7 unless there's some off-road venue, which I hope not.

Stuff like the Indycars, NASCAR/V8 Supercars/Formula E will be replaced by their newer counterparts for the most part, and it's safe to assume the off-road stuff like the Trophy Trucks and Raid cars will not make it in, if we're going by the ones that were in FH2 but not in FM6, so that leaves a bit more room.

I have decided to copy the major points from my post in another thread into this thread. Consider it as my own way of keeping track of things and why not share it here.

  • [Confirmed] 60 FPS.
  • 98% of the cars from FM6 and FH3 + DLC.
  • [Confirmed] Content still not seen since the Xbox 360 era games.
  • [Confirmed] Porsche as day one content.
  • [VW confirmed] The return of VW and Citroën.
  • All tracks in FM6 returning.
  • [Confirmed] More tracks from Europe and Asia.
  • Pacific Raceways.
  • Improved physics.
  • Selectable AI opponent cars and colors in Free Play
  • Smarter AI.
  • [Confirmed] Improved car sounds.
  • [Dynamic Weather Confirmed] Dynamic weather and time of day.
  • [Confirmed] Forzathon.
  • [Confirmed] Auction house.
  • [Confirmed] Better looking trees.
  • [Confirmed] Mods (as implemented in FM6).
  • Upbeat electronica soundtrack similar to FM4.
  • Full rotation of the animated steering wheel for wheel users.
  • [Confirmed] More customization across the board.

Confirmed things:

- Return of Maple Valley, Mugello and Suzuka. Seems like they may be coming at the cost of other tracks though which could go either way depending on which ones get cut.
- From what I've seen the rain looks much better. Seems they've toned down the puddles which ruined wet racing in FM6 for me.
- New career mode. No details yet past the very basic but we know it won't be same terrible setup for the third game in a row.
- Return of Forzathon

Yet to be seen:
- Tsukuba and hopefully another Asian track or two.
- Blueprint with expanded options
- Auction House & Storefront
- Race weekend format with practice and qualifying
- Expanded car customization.
- Customization of single player grids
- Improved AI
- Decent field of current GTE, GT3 and GT4 race cars.
- Proper drag racing. This wasn't on my list until the trailer, but since they showed a brief clip of drag racing hopefully they do it proper.
- SS badging on Chevrolet's
- All Australian cars from FH3 being carried over

Of the unconfirmed things Blueprint is the biggest, it that doesn't make it in I may not buy the game at all.

With T10's quick modelling, can we expect 2017 editions of those major race series? Day One patch? The #55 Super Cheap Falcon, was just a livery update in FH3. The #23 Altima would be the same. All that is left is to include Commodore.

I'm expecting WTCC and GT4. There are also Rally X. I can't see T10 missing the boat on that. Especially since racing on different terrain in FH3.

I'm guessing the only way we'll see rally cross is if it's one of the expansions as the 30 tracks line doesn't really give room for any RX tracks.

One of the big ones off of my list:

Time to get working, then.

TBH all I ask for - other than the necessary improvements to the handling model, which I'm sure will be coming - is (at least) some of the latest, newest GT3/GTE cars, some vintage Porsche racers to go with other cars that were in FM6's carlist already, and maybe a couple of decent IRL venues other than Mugello and Suzuka (and on that regard, I find it hard to believe that they didn't add at least another American track, especially considering their collaboration with NASCAR and Indycar).

I just need to see improvements to Public Multiplayer racing now and I'll be all-in.

The one feature I'm REEEEeally hoping to see is Blueprints. I love that feature in FH3 and hope to see it make its way into FM7. I love FM6 except its career mode, which got boring and repetitive real quick after finishing the last event imo.

improvements like what? segregate the no-good drivers from those who understand what they're doing?
There's a bunch of stuff in the first post, but the gist of it is that I'd like to be able to join a race with random players and have clean, fair racing the majority of the time.

Gran Turismo 6 did a great job of this; I think I had less than 10 races with "wreckers" in the 18 months I played that game online.
