Paul do you have Skype (which you can access when at your PS3)?

As we would usually use it to trigger the safety car, and transmit any issues throughout the race.

Paul, quali starts at 8:40 and race 1 (of 2) starts at 9. We should finish by 10 if all runs smoothly.

This series is pretty sick...
First race got DC'd so missed it. Race 2 was awesome though started from the back and made up a few positions in the first few laps. Stuck with chris into the pits and got past Sy and Andy once they had pitted. Safety car was the perfect chance to catch Mole and get right on his tail. I followed him for a few laps and managed to get a nice pass round the outside of T1. Unfortunatly, got lag bumped by Mole and lost 4 places...
Felt the wrath of willie for a few corners before he took himself off, had a hell of a last lap and caught the leaders up loads, Sy crashed on the last corner which gave me third. Not a bad result but I was hoping for a win...
 
Fun. Race 1 was mostly a lot of defending down the straight and trying to pull a gap through the rest of the lap, just about made it! Only a tenth ahead of Chris across the line.

Race 2 I started from the back, and made up a few places before pitting a bit early to try and cover off bdub who I'd noticed had pitted a lap earlier. Turned out he wouldn't finish the race anyway, but it meant I could be on fresh tyres for a couple of laps before everyone else pitted - so I leapfrogged everyone in the pit stops there. Ended up pushing hard to get a bit of a gap, which got up to 5-6 seconds. Then the safety car came out with about 3 laps to go, nightmare >_<

Back to race 1 tactics of defending down the straight and pushing through the rest of the circuit, had a good battle with Nate as a result. Really sorry for the lag punt mate, I don't usually lag, will try to sort it out! Just about crossed the line to take Race 2 win by just 1 hundredth over Chris this time!
 
Weekend to forgot

Race1 was alright but Willie was all over me and pushing me - on the last lap i accidently outbraked myself at turn1 but he didnt lose much but I let him by. Now that I think about it he had done the same to me, but didnt give the place back :grumpy: So 5th in race1

Race2 was going well, hoping for 3rd. But when the first SC came out I was racing to the line, and thought it was ok to overtake but its not now :confused: then I had a good battle with syjones, then pitted lap 11 and was in the mid pack. But then was hit by bdud and span a lot. Annoyed yes but I knew it wasnt on done on purpose.
Then after the SC i was racing with syjones again. At the 4th to last corner I was halve way down his car, but he turned in and I backed out. Fair enough. Then the next lap, was the same only I was infront. So i was excepting the same thing, I'll do what he did to me and he'll back out - only fair really. Nope. He didnt. Slightly annoyed. You race hard and should except the same for others, you raced hard against me and Im allowed to do the same, but he didnt back down. So i just couldnt be bothered then

10 points, yay(!)
 
A few unlucky and annoying issues but all-in-all a good night of close racing.

Williebaby you have nabbed yourself a warning as explained in the lobby, not leaving space for other cars and claiming right of way over others. This included you turning in on my back left wheel into the tunnel, pushing me into a drift, then grinding down my left door to take the place for yourself,

The rule that I've came to understand is that you race until you complete the lap.. I heard Chris say so on numerous occassions...
 
It's until you start slowing for the safety car, it's a bit tricky to regulate but the positions should generally stay as they were leaving the last corner unless you fly past them straight away. I expect drivers to drive respectively up to the SC.

The whole group did a great job of slowing for the un-notified Safety Car, who had to be rushed out at the last second. Good job Mole for spotting him!
 
If there's space I'll try make it next week, was too busy tonight, sorry for not bringing it up.

Oh, and if you're wondering, I did get a new GT5 disc.👍
 
There's plenty of space for you bud!

It's a shame not to see drivers such as Johnboy and priesty not showing up, after such reliability in practice sessions.

He made a mistake and went into the gravel just before the last corner - and I got him about mid corner/end of it so I didnt know

I went with the rule you race til the line

Hey fella, I need to have a look at the replay but if you think I raced unfairly then all I can do is apologise. If you feel it's nessacary, can't spell that word, put a complaint into frag. I don't race to try and annoy people. In fact I think I race to fairly sometimes and lose out on results because of it.
Great racing tonight, terrible results.
 
Okay Straw, the first attempt on sy, he had full right of way, you just had your front wheels in-line with his bumper. Although it feels like more of a move at that speed, you were well behind.

The lap after, yes you make the move and have right of way but there was no contact. If any argument yes Sy should have let off a little earlier to let you know you have the spot, you were clear to turn in but braked late and under steered off.

After watching the clip, I notice you are rather nudgey over the two laps, however clean your said overtake was. Respectively, Sy was loosing quite some time at strange points of the track so the nudges are expected.

Racing can be stressful, especially with battles after an unlucky tap off the track or out of position. Conflicts are expected and can be resolved by these stunning replays we are blessed with in GT5 :)

My legs shake every time I get into close battles during points races, there's so much pressure, and the success is what makes it all the worthwhile!​

Well I had high hopes for yesterdays races, had a good first race ending up in 3rd. Have to say it was great battling with mole and Frag, unfortunately I ended up on the short end, but still bravo to you two. Second race started with me in the sand, nothing to complain about since the safety car was brought out right after. This is when things started going bad for me, I had some outside pressure(girlfriend telling me we were late) and then I starting making mistakes. That's when I bumped Andy (sorry) and eventually had to drop out as I ran out of time. Sorry for having to do this, I hate when people quit mid race, I don't like to do it myself. We will salvage what points we were able to get and roll onto next week.

Shouldn't I at least get some points for race 2? I did start the race just didn't finish it. Regardless with what you decide I am OK with it, you guys are a blast to run with and the points at the end is not what I race for.
