First off, congratulations sy, taking what would have been my first victory in this series and stomping on it. :sly: Some great races yesterday guys, even though we only had 6 people, we were all very close in speed. First race I was shadowing sy all race, got by him once but then mucked up the left after the corkscrew and almost threw it away. Was trying not to battle too much because Frag was close and the slightest mistake, he would have been on us. So last lap I am right on sy coming up to the corkscrew, I broke a bit early and out of no where I lock up the front tires, didn't lose too much time, but it was just enough with sy being as fast as he was in the last section. Great race sy, fast and clean, we didn't lose time swapping and battling and then it was a two horse race.

2nd race was where it got intense. It was tough to attempt a pass and also defend because we were nose to tail 1-5. I accidentally bumped Frag when I came in a bit hot at corner 5, and after that it seemed he had a magnet on his car and as much as I tried to avoid hitting that lime green car I just couldn't. What was a 5 car battle after pit stops, turned into 3 car battle after some unfortunate incidents involving Knight and Strawman. So 3 laps to go, Frag and I are taking g turns hounding sy when I followed Frag wide in turn ten, we both had no traction braking into 11, he went a bit wide, and then I followed him a bit wider and nudged him off into the litter. After that sy was gone, even though we both charged after him we just ran out of laps. One more lap and it may have been interesting, Frag was flying those last couple laps.

So this weekend I ended up with a 2nd and a 3rd, not bad, but could have been better if I would have just limited the mistakes. Also want to say even though there were a couple of bumps, we were racing soooo close that I thought we did a pretty good job keeping off of each other.

Wasnt having a pop dude was just trying to justify why there is a little bump and grind with cars like this only to be expected.:bowdown:

Great post bdub!

Just watched the last three laps again from your view, it was such a hectic chase right at the end of the race. I think I could have been looking at my first gold either with one extra lap, or without my mistake on lap 13. Awesome racing none the less!

Andy, don't complain to me over PM or criticize other drivers when you, yourself do not have a valid excuse for your driving.

Im going to have to drop out of this series :( my time for work got moved on mondays and tuesdays so i cant make it for afew weeks so it would be better for a reserve to have my place instead sorry for that guys 👍 il probaly join the next series tho

If you read the GTPlanet rules it states that you PM the host/steward about any incidents - something Im following.
 
Andy, I wish for you to discontinue arguments on this matter.

I have to run out at 8, but should be back before the race starts, even if I have to start at the back. 👍
 
Sorry - but where in the OP does it say i cant join mid event? It doesn't.......
Just side tracking me to one side, no wonder you haven't got many people - you just stuck to your friends rather then look at what actually happened.
 
Andy, only two people in this series can be classed as 'friends' of mine, due to them being in the same drift team. The rest are all drivers I have only ever met in race series or not at all, and are all on equal levels as far as I'm concerned. Your negative attitude makes me question whether you still wish to race or not. Your questioning of my role as a series host puts you in the wrong position pal.

The rooms clearly start at 8:00pm GMT.

Races are likely to be held every Tuesday once the series begins, qualifying beginning at 8:40[GMT], and the sprint race at 9:00[GMT]. Please do not enter if you will not be able to make these times.

Some pretty cool battles today, not as close as a group to what I was expecting, but the individual battles had nothing between them!
 
Well Chris, Akmuq, you don't deserve those positions you stole in race 1.

Sy, you got sooo lucky I messed up haha..

Both battles were outstanding and I absolutely loved it. Got punted off once in each race but both were obvious mistakes so its all good.

As for race 1 when nate was there, Chris, Nate, I out braked you 2 into turn 2 a cracker and went straight through the middle of you!. I seemed to be getting the outbreaking nicely tonight!

P.S. Andy, Myself and Nate are the only 2 Chris classes as actual friends I guess. Sure we know Mole and SY but even I know he wouldn't favour people and I've not been here. I've seen him penalise Nate a couple of times in other series. All I'm gonna say.
 
Race 1 - Pushed SO HARD to try and break away from bdud, but it was to no avail. Came round the banking on one lap at 1.1 seconds ahead and thought that would be enough to break the tow - then found myself having to defend again into turn 1!! Made it very entertaining, nice race, just sneaked the win after bdud made a mistake on the last lap.

Race 2 - Everyone was super cautious into the first few corners, so I made up a position under braking into turn 1, another mid corner, and another heading into turn 3. Big tow from Akmuq and Jimmy down the straight meant I was up to P1 by lap 2 - but this time the two guys battling behind meant breaking the tow was much simpler (ta ;)) - cue race of racing against the clock, watching Syjones and Jimmy's names swap around every so often on the display.

I suspect a few of you will also be going away also so it may be best to skip next Tuesday, say what you guys think.
 
Oh crap! yeah sorry pal, didn't think about that :s Most of us are UK you see.

I'm fine for next Tuesday, I can host If you want chris...
By host I mean set regs, start races etc not actually host the room, my net might not hold up the whole time...
 
Okay that's cool nate, just gotta check number of drivers. I think I can give you rights to edit the scoreboard which we can sort if needed.
 
I am not going to be a me to make next tuesday, one of the few tuesdays I have to work 👎
 
Looks like missing out next week will be best bet. Chances are it will be my only other time I'll be able to guarantee making it there lol.. Meh, oh well!.

Out enjoying this weather anyway so it's not all bad!
 
I hope you've all been practicing lads! I'm looking forward to be getting back into My Mx-5 tomorrow :D
