Im currently tuning a Renault Sport Clio V6 Phase 2 '03 up for this event. I my best score so far is 4994 and I left a lot on the table. Will post tune when its a gold trophy.

Wow, I know I suck at drifting but this is seriously hard.
I found the Clio too short and twitchy. I had better luck with Hommell Berlinette or even Alpine A110 but still 1000 pts from gold.

The '00 Clio worked well with comfort soft tyres I found. You can get away with tapping the walls a bit so it's worth just throwing the car in and hope it works if you're really struggling.

Yeah, it was the first car I tried and I was still getting used to this tight track. I'll give it another shot.

I tried the Clio first and got 6636 points, then I tried the Alpine and got over 7100 points. The Alpine feels more like an actual drift car being light and low center of gravity.
EDIT: I just got 80xx points in the Clio, the cars seem to be about equal.

I know :) I'm just waiting for you and Bredsladd1 to do better. Just remember, 2nd place is the biggest looser ;)
Yes, Bredsladd is actually a better drifter than me, but I'm faster:P Still, the corvette drift is still the only one he has won over me:)

Just over Gold score with a 205 T16 - it was a bit of task, though there is reasonable potential. Was going to try a R5 or Alpine next but I see @DolHaus already posted a R5 tune 👍.

Thank You for the tune! work excellent for me! had to start slow in the corners and hard gas and just hold it steady thru the turn. Great Tune as I'm a below average drifter!

Ya if it wasn't for both You and @shaunm80 's Tunes i would have never got gold on all these drift seasonals.
I'm glad they've started doing drift seasonals but these last two were both pretty bad. French Drift cars is a unique idea, mainly because the french don't really make any decent drift cars, next we'll have an all american 4x4 drift event at one of the oval tracks! When I saw there was a BMW event I thought hey, M3/5s how can this go wrong? Then I saw it was on the least fun section of the Cape Ring....

This aside, drifting is a very useful skill to develop, makes you much more confident and comfortable at the limit when grip racing because you know what to do when the car goes past those limits.

Your totally right about Cape Ring and the American 4x4 would be cool. For the French drift At first, before i looked on here for tunes, i was using the GT Citroen Road car. it was just too big to drift the city streets.

I've golded this twice now (pug 205 - works well, but the scoring is unpredictable....), but every time I exit it, the game ***** itself and sits on a black screen and doesn't go anywhere! The music continues but nothing happens. What's the go?

EDIT: 5 times it has done the same thing. I give up
Every time I gold, it locks up

The Drift Bible - Keiichi Tsuchiya

Could someone please produce a drift tune for this event using the Alpine A110 1600S '72, I tried my best using the minimal tune I produced and got 4,790 on my best run and a 4,450 on my second best. It took me about an hour to get that result and as I continued to push it my scores only became worse so it would really help me out in getting gold cause I have the 15th anniversary edition of this car and that's what I want to be using.

Have you tried submitting a request on any of the drift tuner's threads?
For example, @DolHaus's Haus of flying Daggers (Accepting Requests) thread.

I started one but didn't really like it, I will have another look tomorrow perhaps. It wasn't bad, just felt a bit unnatural and I preferred the R5
It would be pretty awesome if you did And it would be much appreciated as I don't believe I've used this car yet to get a gold medal

I finally found a use for the Citroen GT I won in some such event/trial!

Dead serious, put comfort tires, a racing transmission with the absolute shortest gearing, an LSD set to 25/60/10, add some rearward weight ballast, limit the engine to roughly 400 hp and just tap the throttle all through the turns, and hit roughly 60 mph corner entry. Working on gold but silver was a piece of cake.
