I don't like the Lexus because it understeers too much and as almost no rotation.
Are we looking at 1:08's for Silverstone International?

Low-mid 1:07s would be top times I imagine. 👍
Sure you're driving the right car?![]()
Best Focus only was 6th in quali, and in the races it seemed to be the 4th best car at this track behind the Lexus, Alfa, and Nissan. I only kept AMD's Alfa behind me at the end of R3 because of it being hard to overtake and easy to defend round Brands Indy.

It felt like a metre ruler on rollerskates.Yesif you compare the under braking rotation of the Lexus to the rotation of the 370z in GTA atm and you'll hopefully see what I mean

True, but that's the wonder of comfort softs.![]()
What was pole time because I could achieve 47.4/5s so don't know how I could have stacked up to the fastest.
Yes, but my driving style doesn't suit not a lot of braking rotation![]()
Just whack a load of rear brake bias on the rear and turn ABS off, then you get good rotation.
...too good.
Definitely, it's a bit easier to drive than the BMW. The BMW's wall of torque made getting the power down quite tricky, the Lexus is quite peaky and clearly has an open diff, so it can still be a tad tricky, but generally speaking it is a lot more catchable.
I love it, doesn't seem like it's running on racing tyres, which is probably why I like it- it's actually quite controllable unless you get up on the kerbs too aggressively (Graham Hill exit can be particularly treacherous).
Turn in while you are still braking, get it to the apex and give it a tiny bit of throttle in the lowest gear possible. That's how I got it round druids, and it seemed to work given that it was the only corner I didn't go off at last nightYes, but my driving style doesn't suit not a lot of braking rotation![]()
.6 for me. Saw the Lexus do a .1 though.Made some relatively small tweaks to the gear ratios and I improved my PB to a 1:07.4.
Yea, did a 1:07.184 and a 1:07.191, both without draft and on the 1st few laps of the stint. 6's are possible in the Lexus, you just have to get all the car settled for all the corners. I managed a 1:07.1 here last season, so that's a pretty good comparison between the pace of the Lexus and the BMW. Just hope this time round I can see more than 11 people.6 for me. Saw the Lexus do a .1 though.
I managed a 1:08.8 in the few laps that I did, just can't get the best out of the car that I could with any others that I've driven in ToCA over the seasons
That 370 is here to stay. You'll see why in a shade under 2 weeks time![]()

To be honest Chris I'm the same as you, I seem to not get anywhere close to the times posted in testing myself.I managed a 1:08.8 in the few laps that I did, just can't get the best out of the car that I could with any others that I've driven in ToCA over the seasons

Yet I seem to have great race pace, it must be that in a race you can see who your chase so it pushes you to go quicker.
