I mean, it's very well documented that the 6R4s were pretty rough around the edges even when new, but this thing looks like it's done a lot more than 7 miles.

I remember when they sold off all the 'Clubman'-spec homologation unsold stock when Group B died. Most/many got snapped up for local rallying and rallycross, those that didn't would keep popping up for auction. The average price appeared to float around the £15k mark, which even back in the late 80's, was pretty cheap.

I went to an auction at the Harrogate Show Ground (which at the time was often the staging point for the RAC Rally, the British round of the WRC), and they had an unused one for sale there. The paint on the fibreglass bits looked like little more than primer. I guess Austin Rover just expected the cars to be stripped down on purchase and painted in whatever livery the owners sponsors wanted. Because they were so cheap, they were basically giving them away, those that were bought and not used for competition were probably bought and stored in a farmer's barn somewhere (farmers love rally cars for some reason). 'Storing' was probably little more than keeping it under a tarp in the corner of a barn and getting shifted around from spot to spot to make way for whatever farm machinery needed the space. Hence how rough this one looks now.

With an estimate of £200-240k, that's not a bad investment, although as this is an used model, i guess that initial investment could have brought better gains over this time period had it gone into stocks and shares instead.

RM's Monterey is shaping up to be another big one this year. The highlight will be a 2006 FXX, last time one appeared was back in 2015, iirc.

In addition, 2 cars I'll be watching, the Vector M12 & a Pantera Si.

Both of these are a bit interesting because a pair of Vector WX-3 Prototypes were recently auctioned back in January for around $1.2 million and now a rare M12 comes up; car #5 of 14. The former 2 were supposedly still owned by Weigert and this one is out of the Lingenfelter colllection. The Pantera is also interesting because Si's rarely come up as well. I think they are the least popular of DeTomaso's run, but I've always had a soft spot for them. No prices est. yet for anything in the auction, but I don't think the M12 will pull in the $500,000-$600,000 the 2 prototypes did & I'm not sure the mentioned unpopularity of the Si will demand big money. Could be happily wrong.

The FXX however, I'm going to est. $2.5-$3 million. The last 2 that sold went for $1.622m & $1.925m in '15 & '10. This example is supposed to still be "new-in-box" with I believe, 300 miles or so.

1945 was an important year for VW. It marked the beginning of mass production for the Beetle and the public distribution of cars.
This car was built two months after WWII in the British occupied VW plant in Wolfsburg. This is one of two cars that were the first Volkswagens ever imported to Australia. The other is nowhere to be found. This specific Beetle is a Type 51. Like the Type 82E produced during the war, this Type 51 sits on a Kubelwagen chassis for better offroading capabilities.

Woop-woop! So hört sich die Polizei an!

Already in the early 60s, the Dutch police used Porsche as a patrol car, to stop the spped crime on the highways without speedlimit. With this season of the "Rijkspolitie" was not to be joked. All Porsche of the Dutch police were Targa or convertibles, so that the officials out of the Porsche could regulate the traffic!
This 964 C2 Cabriolet is one of the last Porsche built for the Dutch police. It still has all the details with which these cars were equipped. Whether radio or blue light, signaling system everything is still preserved and works. This police Porsche now has a German road registration. He was used as a support vehicle for the royal fleet. A very rare collector's item! The police Porsche was maintained gapless checkbook.
TÜV on request new!
Offered at 160,000 Euros.

Another one:

McLaren F1 with chassis number 18 is going to be sold at the auction of RM Sotheby. With only 21,000 km, a Le-Mans specification upgrades, an extensive spoiler upgrade and I believe that the engine bay is gold plated, is worth more than 20 million dollars.

The FXX crosses tomorrow alongside the world's first ever Porsche car.

But the Vector failed to sell with a high bid of $120,000. Estimates were $250,000-$300,000, so it came up really short. The Pantera Si however, did find an owner at $240,800 which actually appears to be quite a lot for a Pantera. Original estimates were $275,000-$325,000.
This will be a huge auction in Monterey this year. They have unveiled another crown jewel, chassis #018 McLaren F1 with the “LM Kit”.

I’m estimating $20-$25 million.

And the showstopper of the night found a new home and buyer who shelled out $19,805,000 after the 10% buyer's premium. If the new owner is a US-resident, there will be an additional 2.5% premium for EPA certification. I'm actually surprised it managed to sell with an est. of $21-23 million initially. Most of the other cars tonight that were projected to sell over million dollars, failed to meet the reserves and most of these cars were right on the cusp of the minimum estimates: the '54 Maserati A6GCS/53 Spyder at $2.7M, the '62 Ferrari 196 SP at $7M, & the Pagani Huayra Roadster at $2.5M . At least one of the other notable cars however, did find a new home alongside the Mac.: the '65 Ford GT40 Mk. I Roadster at $7,650,000,

Fun fact: RM sold this Ford 5 years ago at this very same venue on this night at $6,930,000.

Big surprise of the night came immediately into the auction, though. This 1967 Ferves Ranger was set to sell between $30,000 & $40,000. A bidding war ensued & the little car hammered at $196,000.

The Jaguar C-X75 from SPECTRE is going on sale at auction. It's only a stunt car but is possibly one of the only drivable and buyable ones out there because Jaguar never put it into production.

Would you happen to know anything about the seller(s) on this? Curios if it's my old employer's.
All I know is that it’s one of three Veyrons that were in Michigan. He did say he owned it for four years, it’s been to a lot of events/cars and coffee.
