Fuji Speedway is Coming to Gran Turismo Sport — And We'll See It This Weekend

Y'know, since the incoming GT3 is basically a model rehash of the GT3 RS, maybe we could have the 911 R somewhere down the line? Maybe? PD?? * wink wink*

That said, we still don't have the 918 and the road legal version of the Cayman GT4. Hell even I would welcome a Cayenne, just so the F-150 Raptor could have someone to play with.

In the GT World Tour livestreams today we have seen 4 new cars! These include:

Too many road cars give me more race cars like LMP or F1. I hope the Ferrari F2007 and Ferrari F10 return!!!!

I'd say....

  • Autobacs ARTA Garaiya (SUPER GT) '08 (Gr. 3)
  • Subaru BRZ R&D SPORT (SUPER GT) '12 (Gr. 3)
  • Toyota 88-CV '89 (Gr. 1)
  • Nissan R390 GT1 '98 (Gr. 1) (also Road Car)
  • New Formula Gran Turismo perhaps (Formula GT F2400-A ala F2007 / F2400-B ala F10)
  • X2010 Fan Car (wishful thinking)

Wonder which car we gonna use for the Red Bull Ring Circuit Experience.

Hopefully the X2014 to make it fitting.

We should have more of both but ...

N100: 13
N200: 17
N300: 19
N400: 12
N500: 17 (10 Brand Central + 7 Mileage Exchange)
N600: 14
N700: 5
N800: 4
N1000: 2
Group X: 50 (46 Brand Central + 2 Mileage Exchange + 2 Reward Cars)
Group B: 10
Group 4: 27
Group 3: 33
Group 2: 3
Group 1: 19

If you count the i3 and the safety cars as road cars, that makes 107 road cars vs. 138 race cars

Fuji Speedway could favor cars such as the FT-1 VGT, the GTI VGT, the SLS AMG GT3, and some other power cars with good handling capabilities in the Gr.3 class.

As for Gr.4 though, it could be a Mégane Gr.4 VS RCZ Gr.4 VS TT Cup festival...unless there is tyre wear added to the mix.

Slowly, all the legendary cars of GT are coming back.:)

Yes sir! The main 6 halo cars of GT1 are all almost here (R33, Supra, NSX, RX7, Evo IV). Just needs the Buntamobile (aka GC8 Impreza) and we have the OG team back! :D

So so happy that my baby NSX NA1 (Type R version no less) is coming back. Just needs the 2002 Type R and I can die happy :D

I hope Fuji gets GT League events in both J Sports Meeting and All Japan GT Car Championship.

Since we're getting the Honda NSX R and Nissan 300ZX, I'd also appreciate PD taking a moment to update the cars used by the AI in the J Sports series. They didn't when the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV and Subaru BRZ were recently added, so at least four cars will be left out if they don't. Variety is good instead of seeing several instances of the same model in one race. :)

^ Particularly when there's no need for duplicates. I can understand if they simply didn't have the variety and so had to use many instances of the same model e.g. 917 vs 512 ala PC2.

Indeed, but sometimes PD gets a little to creative with the variety. For example, the All Japan GT series uses GT3 cars to fill out the grid instead of just having the GT500 versions of the NSX, GT-R and RC F. They could easily stick to the Gr.2 cars since the AI supports custom liveries for the sake of variety.

GT300, the class below GT500, uses a majority of GT3 cars these days so its actually accurate that PD would use them to fill out the event in some capacity.
