Yet they still sound like crap and some drive like crap.
I aggree with the first statement (Buik Special 62 or Nascars, anyone? Eventhough I have to admit that I have never heared so nice sounding hair dryers before), but can`t do it on the latter.
Every car I drove till now was special, none felt like the other. The difference between a Gallardo and Murcielago is huge, just like the difference between a 430 Scuderia, F430 or 458 Italia. I have never felt something like this in a video game before, I guess that Im not the only one who made the mistake to buy NFS:S here, right? This game had very poor driving physics, a Murcielago felt just like a Gallardo with more power, the Mclaren F1 was jumping all over the road (eventhough this was patched) and the Mclaren SLR handled like a 800kg/600hp race car and not like a 1.8 ton Mercedes.
Yes, its somehow a dissappointment to find out, that they modelled the underneath of the car by using a toy, but I can`t really point my finger on them and say "What have you guys been doing the last 5 years!".
Do you know that looking at the underneath of a car and making high quality photos of it isn`t that easy and cheap as it sounds like? Especially on rare classics like a Miuara?
Are you really assuming that Kaz can ask the Ferrari Boss "Hey Luca, can we lift up your 330P4 race car and take some photos of it? Won`t take that long" "Ok, don`t worry buddy" "Yeah, thank you, can we also do the same on a F10? I`m sure that the Mclaren team is to dumb to flip the Ferrari F10 in GT5 to take a close look at your diffusor!" "Yeah, why not!"
