Yesterday there was a documentary on the Belgian television about the Tea Party in America.

Now, you guys often accuse us of viewing upon Americans as total idiots, but when you see those people talk such nonsense I just cringe and feel sorry for all of the rest of America. There are some stereotypes, but I think those guys from the Tea Party are the worst.
 
In a forest, the strangest trees are the most noticeable. It's unfortunate that journalism gravitates towards these weirdos.

Stereotypes are based on reality, and therefore white people as well as black people should laugh together about both groups because the jokes are most certainly funny. Black people have big noses, white guys can't jump, Indian people smell funny, and Asians all drive 350Zs, at least. Now laugh, because you know it's mostly true otherwise the jokes wouldn't exist. If you're an Asian and have a 350Z parked in your driveway you should be laughing that much harder.

What? But those posters aren't even true. I know all sorts of "tea party" people, proper libertarians and not-so-proper teabaggers alike, and not a single one of them support any of the things suggested by that poster. You'd have to look into the most finite extremist minority to find any examples of the sort.

That doesn't coincide with the definition of "stereotype", where the matter of the stereotype is mostly true. The stuff on that poster is mostly not true. That's why it's not good stereotyping, and why it lacks humor.
