Even ponies. Unfortunately, those were never banned in the last thread, unlinke the far less frequently spammed trollfaces.

Speaking of ponies, I cracked up when I saw this one. No lie.

There was a lot of stuff that went on there, some of which I'm still sore about. The big thing happened in the main brony thread itself. Long story, I'll have to tell it sometime.

Also, I'm fairly sure the mods told people to stop posting trollface/science/physics in the last thread. The only mod to oppose the ponies was ignored and apparently never started deleting them.

That's not even kind of true. Almost an entire page worth of pony pictures was deleted when the mods came in when things got really bad. And I've read what happened, er, sorry, what you started and continued for weeks in the Brony thread. It was months ago, so if you still can't let it go, then you never will.

Remember a certain brony admitting to trolling the last thread? I'm sure you do.

Remember the mods going after him like they did me? Nope. 'Cause it didn't happen. I looked it up and, while he was thwarted in his plan to spam my profile page with pony pics, he was never kicked out of the funny pic thread like I was out of the brony thread.

Just for fact's sake.

For pic's sake... well... I don't have anymore pics of people uppercutting ponies, so this will have to do.

Speaking of ponies, a question for any mod who reads this: why were the ponies never banned in the last thread, despite the spamming and the ferocious backlash they generated? I never could figure it out.
 
Mainly because I never got any answers the first time around. The whole episode was confusing and looked like the bronies were getting away with far more than they should have. I can't remember the actual number of pages between the start of the ponies (page 426 or something) and the end of significant pony spam, but I think it was somewhere in the hundreds @ 20 posts per page.

I especially like this quote, from just after the incedent:

when people here had been asking the mods for pages on end to get rid of the ponies. Why did that never happen? It's a serious question.

Why are you bringing this up again? What happened, happened. You can't change that, I can't change that, Jordan and the mods can't change that. Move on and stop trying to incite another flame war.
 
I'm not trying to troll or start another war. What I'm trying to do is figure out the whys of the issue. I could never figure it out... because, as far as I could see, there were none.
 
Maybe you should PM a moderator involved at the time. I'm sure they'd much rather answer your question through that then through a thread about humorous pictures.
 
Just so we are all clear on the issue regarding MLP image in the past, we don't delete images just because some might not find them funny. Images that were deleted in the past either broke the AUP guidelines (ie. the drug reference images) or were clearly only posted as spam to antagonise. The mods don't pass judgement on humor as it is subjective. I hope that helps clear the air so we can all get on with the funny.

Just to add to what has been said:

Were they not funny? I thought about half of them were, half weren't, but certainly the same can be said of the non-brony memebase pictures that show up here regularly.

Were they against the AUP? No.

The moderation crew are VERY aware of the spamminess involved with bronydom when it cropped up a few months ago, and we HAVE deleted some related brony spam. But this is not one of the places where it is a problem except if you make it one. What became a problem in the last thread was where people actually started posting spam merely because they hated ponies.

I'm sick of seeing the "FUUUUUUU" image used in about 1,000,000 different pics. Am I complaining about it? No. Are we removing it? No.
