I'll be there, past 2 weeks have been crazy and I haven't practiced much. Should be interesting.

Holy smokes it gets dark at 3:30!? Although it would be great for my kids "...see its dark out, it's bedtime" (daddy gets to play more GT5!)

It sure does lol. And usually where I live you're snowed in with a good 5-6 feet of snow too......

In the height of summer it gets dark at 12.00am & daylight is about 2.30am. 👍

Lol. :) Moooaaaarrr GT5 !

I will be keeping the rules as they are now so no ballast changing thi season.

Also Biffy has left the series so I have asked Remy_K to fill in (Bluesix) if cannot I will be messaging the other Reserve Driver ASAP

+1 Dragon.

To make it easier for everyone even myself I am going to take Pictures (picture=1000 words) of all the Pit Exit Entrances and post here, some of the pits are a little confusing (daytona being one) and I can't find the words to describe what I want to type.

Did you ever post these pics? If so I missed it. Still a bit unclear if pit lane start/ends as soon as the dividing lane appears or some other marker on track.... if so that's one long pit road entrance at Fuji!

I tried to exit and keep speed under 100 mph and it takes some concentration to do that, hit a unique brake zone and watch for oncoming traffic so it should be interesting. Not that I'm against the limit at all, just need to practice it. At least the 100 mph limit did make the braking with cold tires easier.

Maybe we could just clarify Fuji pit lanes for this week and save the other track pics, if required, for a later date.

Thanks.

No, I haven't posted the pics yet I will get them up today for Fuji at least.

^^ Would be great to have the exact points clarified yep. I read into the previous thread conversations we all had that it should be the horizontal , ( As opposed the the parallel ) line that we have to obey , ala F1 style rules.

Would be good just to have a quick yes/no on this issue. 👍

The entrance into the Fuji pits is a nice tricky one too. Slowing to 100mph then down to about 60 ish to navigate the sharp right/left is very cool . All the time being careful not to put any wheels over the lines.....

I like a challenge .

👍

Im opening a room for practise in precisely two hours from now...Please feel free to join me...Got a lot of data to collect for tomorrows race...

Here is the Pitlane Entrance for fuji once your Nose hits the start of this white line you must be at 100mph

I hope this helps out a little more on pitting.

Fully understood Gamesta . 👍

I was practising using the horizontals , but I will try this out a little later.

If you are going into the pits you are not allowed to start on the track side of that line and cross over it for late entry to pits right? i.e. All four tires *have* to stay to right of pit lane for entire pit entrance/exit. As if there were a cone at the tip of the line which was the commitment marker ala NASCAR.

I won't be able to run this season. I looked at my weekend calendar more closely and I have two out of town weddings to attend. I will check in when I can to check for open slots and fill the grid if need be.

Exactly You must keep Right for the whole duration of the pit lane if you make a late pit entrance there will be a penalty.

Long story short...When enterring the pits stay to the right and slow down to 100mph when you are at the beginning of the white line...you may not cross the line vertically..

Exiting- Stay at 100mph and stay in the lines until the white line ends...

Got the entrance & exit practiced , car set-up ready , and strategy formulated for the race.

See you guys on track tomorrow.

:)👍

Im kinda confused about race time...Is qualifying gonna happen the same time as last Sunday?

Edit- rooms open...

Thanks Gamesta i shall b there, altho caught unaware's no testing:ouch: will try & fit sum in before lobby opens, i understand pit lane entry & exit fully, apart from slowing down i use the same pit entry & exit, f1 style :)

Lesson to be learnt; Read threads more often:D

I'll join if there is a free slot during the qualifying session, if not then no problem 👍

my best was a 1:36:1xx

35's are possible with 100% commitment and less fuel...

The best I can get out of the SC430 is around 1.40 & consistently hitting the 1.41's.
Towards the end of the race it will be quicker though.....

I'll be looking to hold on to a few slipstreams on the pit straight today.

its 10a.m. est gamesta:lol::gtpflag:

I am getting setup now Room will be open in 3 mins

Room is now open for Free Practice until 11:00 am ESTat which point the track will be reset for qualification.

I'm leaving this series because some of the drivers drivingstyle. See you!

Thank you for your intrest.

I will have results up as soon as I can it will take me the better part of two days to get through the replay. Just from what I saw on track today I can assure you there will be penalties given out. Also myself included need to read the rules of the series very carefully.

If there are any incidents in the race please send me a Message on PSN or PM me here and I will look into it.

Some very good racing took place today and I had a lot of great battles and look forward to the race at Suzuka which is a very technical and demanding race.
