Sorry gamesta, I wasn't much of a teammate!
I am really a beginner at racing. I had some car setup issues that I think I can workout, I'll try and get more practice with the other members.
From what I see, and I am by no means an expert (and I haven't yet watched the replay), is that it is typical stuff, everybody wants to win at every turn. Nobody wants to wait for a passing opportunity, guys are all over the track. I bumped a few people hear and there, went wide in a few turns. A lot of drivers seem overly aggressive too. I'm new, I'm slow, I try to let faster cars by when I can do so safely. If you want to be in a league then you need to respect the other drivers. Dropping out of the race is just poor sportsmanship s!!t happens - you get back in and let gamesta deal with the person. Logging out and jumping back in to berate somebody is not smart, and now your disrupting eveybody on the track. Sometimes I'll see someone coming up fast behind me and I'll try to get out of the way only to BE in the way, i didn't mean to ruin someone's race purposely.
When I originally joined the league the full damage seemed intimidating but than I thought it would make me a better driver and looked forward to the season. I thought it would calm everyone down if they couldn't go charging into corners and slide around on worn out tires. This league is stated as being for beginners, with better drives taking on the role of "teachers". I want to learn to be a good clean racer.
Great post, and I'm sure you will be fine.
If you want, I can help you with a setup. PM if you'd like, and we can trade off on setups 👍
WRP001 and I run test sessions a couple of times a week, and you are more than welcome to join.
There was great racing all over the place, but unfortuneately too often it's the incidents that are remembered.
The comments about respecting other drivers was spot on. 👍
If we all follow that simple detail, all we will remember from here on is the great racing.
There will always be slight knocks here and there, either from errors, or close racing.
However, 11 taps before the first pit is not something I would like to see ever again. It's simply poor race conduct.
Aggressive racing is welcomed / expected, but some seriously bad corner choices were made at times. That really has to stop. Just because there is no heavy damage doesn't mean a race won't be ruined by punting someone off.
Gamesta has all the right ideas, but it's up to the drivers to respect both the Series rules, and the other drivers.
This is not Nascar, these cars simply are not designed to take hits.
I did have some great close racing with Gamesta, and WRP001, and a couple others.
KK, and Remy, I never even saw you two after lap 3 or so. Great driving! Seriously. Great run by Dragon as well. You three were on fire this week.

Abuse of players in championships is not only disgusting , & against the GTP online code of practice , it's also disrespectful for the drivers trying to actually race. If anybody has a problem with an incident , they should PM the race steward regarding the matter. I'm not interested in seeing that here again.
And thirdly the SC430. I really like this car but my suspicions of it being underpowered at this PP level have been confirmed . On paper it is balanced in stats compared to the rest but in reality it isn't . I think I did incredibly well to run as high as I managed to considering , but at this level it cannot compete. I've tried everything setup wise to get it on par with the GTR's times & others but the car won't get there.
I can't agree enough with the first statement. The barrage of messages at one point was beyond ridiculous, and a slap in the face to all remaining drivers. I expect that it won't happen again.
I've never been happy that PSN edits online comments....until today.
For the second part (3rd in the quote

) as mentioned above, if you want to test / work with tuning, let me know, PM, etc.
All of the cars have specific stength's / weaknesses. GTR's were faster in corners / braking than my NSX, as they grip better, but the corner exits in the nSX are amazing, as is the straight line speed.
I'm not sure as to what the strength / weakness of the SC430 is, but if it makes for a better sereis, all for helping even out the field if I can.
Additionally, some cars will perform better on different tracks. I fully expect the NSX will have a problem keeping up @ Indy. A M/R setup there simply can't be a good thing.
You can't expect to win at every track, but you can expect to be competitive.
Looking forward to next week.
Hope to see you all there 👍
Dam that was a longer post than I had imagined
