And when you tune online you can leave tire wear off to get consistent laps to see what each setting change really does, but before finalizing your tune, turn tire wear on and grip reduction to "real" to test it with the official settings for this season. You don't want a tune that's going to kill your tires in 6 laps. I don't know how DragonGT got such great tire wear out of his car... maybe he'll share... or keep it a trade secret

when i have tire wear off in lounges i'm actually almost a whole second faster, i always test and tune my car with the race specifications on and all that.

think i get good tire wear cuz of how i tune my car, i'll run few laps see what i got and just tune what i feel is needed for certain corners to prevent understeer and oversteer without burning my tires too much, but also need to be fast so its alot of work.

i didn't get to practice as much as i would like for this series so far, i mean w/e remy and killa are doing is great, cuz they had the better cars that day.

It takes literally hours of time to create those videos for a long race like this. I could post a video of the start and first couple laps, but after doing a few videos for a series I help run, I'm realizing what a time sink it can be and I just can't afford the time it takes. If GT5 replays only had fast forward, rewind, etc. it would be a LOT quicker.

I did save the replay in case some time does appear on my schedule.

What are you doing for lap times at Suzuka?

The NSX is proving to be more of a challenge than I expected. My best lap time so far is 1'57.2XX. With the Calsonic I was doing 1'56.8, but that was after a lot more practice with the car. The biggest difference with the NSX is the consistency & risk. It's much easier to make a costly mistake with the NSX. The NSX is really fun to drive, but everything seems to happen very fast relative to the GTR. The tire wear is horrible so far with the NSX though. Gotta work on that part of the setup or I'll be pitting every 8 laps.

I don't usually drive with TCS on, but TCS=2 seems to tame the NSX a little, however does put a dent in lap times. I wonder if turning on TCS could actually help tire wear?

I know you weren't asking me but my best so far was a 1.58.5xx , although there's more testing needed for sure and i've got to do a little more testing on tyre wear & strategies ..

TCS may or may not improve it , ( I never use it so I can't be sure ) , but it will slow you down for sure. If you balance the trade off over TCS & tyre wear v laptime then i'm sure non TCS will always be the better way to go.

Furthest i've gone so far is 12 laps on tyres but if i'm ( Very ) lucky I might be able to go longer....

Before I forget Gamesta , are we using the new ( very short ) pitlane entry , or the really old very tight entry for Suzuka ?

Yep , that was on the joypad too lol. I've yet to try her with the wheel lol.
It's quite possible I could've been wrong about the Densos capabilities at this PP , I hope it will be more competitive around here....

I saw a player lodge a time far quicker than mine today in my lounge , I will not name him as it's not my laptime to share. But I think we all have some more time to find.....

I shared set-ups with Ohno today and we did a nice test also , i'm really loving Suzuka right now.

Lol , yep i'd say so.
I was having exit issues through Spoon earlier , was proving tricky to get the power down . Seems fine now though with adjustment .

There's so many good drivers in this championship that's it's tricky to work out where you will finish on a Sunday.

Really don't like the idea of ending up deep in that gravel though , takes ages to get out , & then there's dirt on your tyres for a corner or 2.....

Shaping up to be a competitive weekend again. 👍

Really? I always found the NSX sliding around when I take the first and last 'S flat...

There's so many good drivers in this championship that's it's tricky to work out where you will finish on a Sunday.

I'm going to put my tail between my legs () and run back to the Calsonic GT-R. After every 10 lap run I am on ice in the NSX. I don't really have enough laps under my belt in an NSX to feel comfortable by myself on worn tires, never mind trying to race or pass (or get passed) by others.

Hope that's OK Gamesta since nobody has claimed the Calsonic off waivers. Sorry Hydro and to the rest of you for the waffling, but I'll be more competitive this way. Hopefully Terrible1Fi will welcome me back to team Calsonic.

That circuit looks fun to drive WRP , first time i've seen it actually.

Did a full race distance of 35 laps and fastest was a 1.57.9xx , think it will go a little quicker with cars behind me though....
