I understand where your comming from but i dont think we should knock it till we give it a try ya know? I think there are just trying to figure out way to change fighting system elements spice it up a bit Ill give them a A for effort for now

Some people play fighting games because they look cool, other people for the core of it... Personally I play for the core, but it also has to have at least 3d characters.. sprites aren't doing it for me anymore.
That being said, I forget Dead or Alive was a FG. Every time I hear Dead or alive, it's all Beach Volleyball
I play fighting games because I have fun and enjoy them not for''core'' and definitely not for looks. everyone is entitled to there opinion I am still interested in SF X T for the time being its funny how people assume stuff is dumb before they actually get there hands on the game. things can still change. Heck if you dont like the gem system tell capcom! The game is far from complete !If the games suck I will be the first to say you know what that game wasn't for me. But now its pretty hard to speculate. Until then 3rd strike Tekken 6 and KOf 13 will keep my fighting fix in check( maybe tekken hybrid)
Yeah, if you spend a little more time thinking WHY it's fun, for fighting games, it comes down to it's core (fundamental) values or it's visual appeal.... it's not limited to just those two, but from what I've noticed when talking to friends or reading other people's opinions of fighting games, it generally falls in either field.
I know people who love Mortal Kombat because of the fact that you actually kill the other character (visual aesthetic). I understand where the fun comes from playing a character who tears out a skull or heart... but personally, I like Street Fighter because of how close it stays to the fundamentals to fighting games... and that in-depth level of not playing the game, but playing the opponent you're next to is where the fun is at for me...
Blood and guts aren't necessary for me, but reading your opponent successfully gets you an vast amount of satisfaction.
no I call it fun having my freinds over or meeeting them online and competing but having a goodtime I also dont care for blood guts or nudity in fighting games but for other reasons. I do respect your reasons I just dont give fighting games as much thought as you wich is cool though we just have diffrent perspcetives on it

Still enough time to train.. Given that there will be Tekken Tag 2, BB:CS II Extended, UMVC3, and SFx Tekken coming out, that is good enough time. I can't play AE anymore ( well online...)
funny ha ha Its just not my cup of tea I did appreciate the work put into the game I tried both the first one and Continum shift I am just not into the convoluted story and alot of cursing in my games its a personal thing. The sprites are excellent though I do respect the game just not my cup of tea
Wait cursing in Blazblue? If you liked Guilty Gear, Blazblue is about the same thing but user friendly. CSII even had a tutorial mode feat Rachel Alucard.
