Well in that case rate mine! ^_^

Why were you complaining!?!!??! JK :P

1st pic (don't take them personally okay!?) :D
leave more room for the car on both left and right. Blown out = losing detail at the brightest and darkest areas (it's hard to shoot white cars). Desaturate it a bit.

2nd pic
too much shadows.

3rd
What's good: What can i say? This is such a great shot!
What needs working: If you didn't crop the wheel on the right, then it'll be a VERY good pic indeed 👍

4th
What's good: Good B/W pic! Very GOOD contrast
What needs working: don't see a problem with it. The cropping seems fine to me 👍

3rd and 4th are just amazing!

PERFECT BALANCE
Well, I have to agree the trees are too bright in the top, but it is still a pretty cool shot IMO.

Let me guess, you took A LOT of effort into this pic right? I can tell everything is so composed well. 👍

ITALIAN JOB GT EDITION HERE I COME :scared:

I wasn't complaining.

Yes a couple of those shots wernt fully finished.

And thanks for the review :)

EDIT: Alot of the reasons why the 2nd pic didn't look as good, is because it wasnt a full size pic.

Hmm ... I decided to put my old shot that less appealing to people
so tell me what is the problem, Rikaro?

I know it is a bit dark because no PS work on it ;)

Hey, could you rate this please? I created this image a while back, and it was supposed to be a joke (ie. with intentional composure mistakes), but no one noticed them. can you see them?

i think these are good shots, but could they use improvment?

leave more space for the cars, and watch out for the white blown outs
otherwize, great colors and composition, especially the 1st pic!

put a bit more exposure and saturate it more! great pic though!

Here is a little something:

1st pic, it'll be better if you see the sky more.
2nd, give more room for the car.
Not bad at all!

Krame

even though the 1st and 2nd pic is a little too saturated, i think the 1st one has great colors. Watch out the car being blown out though. Just desaturate the 2nd one and you'll have one DAMN HOT PIC! 👍

PERFECT BALANCE
I think we need to give him a little break guys.
yea! i don't have time for gt4 LOL
B-spec Bob is losing my races

throttlehappy
he can have a break after he rates this :)

if you look at the sky, the colors are a little blown out (cyan color). Move the car to the left a bit, along with the viewfinder to take out that building on the right. Not bad 👍

GT4_Rule
And this only. Please!!

One of my gallery shots.

i think you shot this close up with a wide angle. When it's a car as aerodynamic as this, i would give it a more speed like. What i'm saying is that try going from far and using a tele zoom instead (ie. 400mm zoom) shutter speed really depends on your car. go for 1/200 or 1/250 but i can't tell because i don't know the speed of the car. Not a bad pic though.

it's a little off. it's fixable with photoshop though. Shadows are heavy! Otherwize great combination of background and car.

i agree on the brightness of the sky around the sun
thats somthing i could fix but i disagree on the building
i think it adds to the picture

Yep, thats it... almost. If you use the strip lights at the back as a reference for the center, you will notice that the car is intentionally just off center on three axis. I could of lined the car up perfectly, but instead I thought I'd spice things up alittle. if you look, the car is off on these axis - left-right, up-down, and I added a little camer roll, to add to the effect. The picture is already heavily photoshopped, and everything else you see was as I planned it, heavy shadows and all.

I try to challenge ideas with some of my pictures, and although they might not be obvious, every update has a picture or two that says something more than what is apparently visible.

Thanks for rating my picture, if you would like to, feel free to check my gallery, and critique some of the images I have there. :dopey:

Ok , I want to be rated too :dopey:
What do u think?

Thanks for rating! :dopey:

wow what can i say? that a nice pic!
one thing i used to say like all other critics: leave space for car, at the bottom in your case ;)

I definately like your thread idea and I would like to get a lot of my pictures rated but I'll hit you with them one at a time so you don't get too overworked.

Here is the first one.

If you guys don't know, i'm a part-time freelance photographer and a full time working at a camera store. (i'm still in school) But what i see, especailly in the "rate my pics thread" are rated mostly because of the car, and not the composition. No offence to anyone, but most good pics are rated at like 6 or 7.

Post your pics here, i'll get them rated and you guys will definately learn a lot here! I'm not saying i'm perfect or anything, but any of you guys that want some professional opinions, i'm here and ready to help
Muff can you pick what you think are my top 5 pics, which you like to look at.

Ooh very nice & usefull thread man Rikaro! 👍

thanks for not killing me! :P

What do you think about making the pic vertical, wheels with no angle, and car in the bottom middle? I really like about the background and color choice though!

APEXi_
Sorry for the huge amount of pictures, but I would like you to rate these.

Lets talk about the bottom halfs first:
3 and 4th are a little blown out. On the 2nd one leave a little more space for the car on the left. First pic try photoshop the yellow thing at the upper right corner. Superb composition and location! 👍 👍 Guys learn from him! :P

Fyffe
Here's one I want you to rate:)

You should turn your car counter clock-wize. Seeing the sides of the car more will be more interesting. A little too overexposed. Zooming into the car more would be good ;)
