Hi Rikaro,

I've never really used photomode at all until last week's WRS race when I needed to get some pictures to justify my strange choice of car!
I'd appreciate your comments on my very amateurish efforts, and bear in mind in most pictures I was trying to showcase the car, not the scenery.

You can find them in this post.

If you'd like to repost any of them here with your comments, please feel free to, so that everyone else can see what you're talking about without having to open up the link.

Just keep shooting for now. YOU can tell you're doing better in the first 10 shoots.

Here's an example of different tones of blue gradient, achieved by increasing contrast and messing with levels after applying the gradient.

No picture came out as well as this example for me so far (had some better pictures before although this one still looks nice IMO, but I'm talking about the technique:))

yea i do agree that's a good pic. probably because the noise that makes it more film like haha :P

I'm hittin you with another one.

it's kinda empty up there though. You might want to do a close up (27mm?) and blur out the background instead ;)

Here it is again. The white car is getting all the attention. but it's 👍

Could you give me your opinion on this one:

I will probably be back with more later. Thank you in advance; much appreciated.

I think you guys should donate me a DFP, or sponsor me a new camera :P
I used to get paid doing this you know hehe :D

I was more testing to see how much of a pro you are than getting feedback. :p

Ok, can you at least tell me which of the Miata shots you liked best, and why? :) Much appreciated.

Sorry for giving you so many at once, I hadn't noticed your "one photo at a time please" post then. :guilty:

Here's another one for you to critique, all comments welcomed. 👍

If your scenery takes that much of the image, i think you should make the bg sharper.

NIKON!! I'm so damn getting that car hahaha :P
I'm a Canon user though. This pic is very good on the side, but the front is a little dark. If the car's in another angle it'll help. Otherwize in this situation, brighten it up using photoshop!

Hey! i think you're doing a really good job here!keep it up!
Here's my pic, let me know what you think!
Thanks,

sorry for the thumbnail

I was absent for some months, yes. I lost interest in GT4 for a time and consequently lost interest in gtplanet as well. Got into playing GT4 again two weeks ago or so.

About my gallery, now that you mention it... I could do that... :)

Long time no see indeed, Dr.AK! :dopey:
Good to have you back.

Hi Rikaro

Wondered if you might have a look at this one and let me know your thoughts?

regards

Dave

*EDIT*

Using this picture as my desktop - compared it with the imageshack image after uploading and noticed that after being uploaded the picture was less detailed and seemed to have lost some quality, is this a characteristic of Imageshack? Most noticeable around the taillights and where the tyres meet the tarmac...

lmracer

where can you get a bike anyway? :P
composition is good. Only thing you have to worry about is the background. You might want to blur it out and wide angle, or just crop it so that you don't see that building at all.

very nice pic, a little more motion would help.

I'm going to rate the 2nd last pic only.

It's a little bit hard to find the main subject in this image. If you want the bimmer to be the subject then the car behind it is a little distracting.

[empty space]

oversatuated. Else it's 👍

gt_masta

do they have photomode in TT also? or is this GT4?
Nice pic! Show more depth will make it look better!

Check mine out

first pic is the best 👍
2nd make the car in the middle
leave some room on the left bottom corner for the car.

Gt4MaNYac

I was thinking about putting it in my gallery, What do you think?

excellent pic! You would want the see a bit more from the side of the car.

What do you think about this one.

i think the pic is a little soft. Make the shutter speed faster to freeze that movement :)

It'll be good if more light comes from the side of the car, making the car more dimentional :D
