Getting credits... is... annoyingly... painful...

I'd love to see Seasonal Events coming back with login bonus, just like in 5&6..

And B-Spec?

To be fair to PD, I too had issues earning money in the early pre-patched stages.

Right now I'm limiting myself to 42km a day for the free car so I'm not earning much.

I'm actually after a F458 as to compete with both Mid engined and the Cavallino - this has shades of many sims that required you to double duty cars for certain race series.

It's late game where they give you heaps of credits.

Further to this, in GT6 they introduced the VGT and you had a fairly elementary race to win the 1mil VGT and that's what I feel they should do.

If I was cynical I'd say the daily free car giveaway is a form of lootbox? I tend to get a lot of Golfs and the like and not many of the million dollar cars.

The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different cars.

As for price, we selected initial values based upon data from the Open Beta and other adjustments made before launch. Among other things, we're looking at average per-player credit earn rates on a daily basis, and we'll be making constant adjustments to ensure that players have challenges that are compelling, rewarding, and of course attainable via gameplay.

We appreciate the candid feedback, and the passion the community has put forth around the current topics here on Reddit, our forums and across numerous social media outlets.

Our team will continue to make changes and monitor community feedback and update everyone as soon and as often as we can.

I just wish they’d implement selling cars. I have tons of cars I don’t care about sitting there in my garage. Just hopefully waiting they become something more than wasted bits. I don’t care so much about the cars being too expensive. I think cars should either be all free or expensive enough for them to be meaningful. I understand it’s a pain, but I’m playing not getting out of my way. One day I’ll have them.

I don’t mean to disqualify other’s arguments. I’m just saying that maybe I’m one of the few not really bothered by this issue.

To my mind, no question the the price of the P330 and Jag is excessive.

Other than that, it's extremely easy to win or earn cars in this game.

If it's an issue that you actually need to play the game to earn cars, you've bought the wrong game.

All I think what's needed is for a large increase in credits and XP for Sport Mode races. Sport Mode is the most challenging part of the game, as well as the main focus of the game, yet you get so much more for the X-Bow at Blue Moon Bay....
I could win a 10 minute race and drive clearly, and win maybe 80,000 credits, and that's the maximum I'd get really, certainly not the average. Average would be maybe 10,000 credits per sport race

Increase the payouts by 50% at least for now

All I've done is play the game, and it was a long, long time ago that I had every car from both Gr.4 and Gr.3.
Every car available for the majority of Sport Mode races.
And highly unlikely I didn't have a specific car for any other Sport Mode event, particularly considering it would often be a supplied car or one I could simply afford to purchase.

Additional payout for XP to legitimately hit Level 50, I could understand the argument.
But even still I'm happy to trundle my way forwards over time.
But additional payout for Credits is uneccessary.

Spend some time and play the game.
Earn the Credits and Mileage points.
It isn't that difficult.

It is mostly XP for which it needs to be increased. I have almost every car.

Yep, I essentially agree.
But I'm a little torn on this issue.

I'm no trophy hunter, but when it comes to GT I don't mind to admit that things change.
I've driven plenty of miles in this game and sit mid way around Level 41.
I also understand it will take many, many months before I hit Level 50.

The question is, is it too much?
Do PD want people rubber-banding to achieve that goal?
Or are they putting their money on people like me who will play the game for a serious amount of time to achieve that goal?

I'm not sure.
It seems a long way away to me.
But as I said, at the moment I'm happy just to play the game and slowly see the increase.
How long that attitude continues is another matter.

Really in this game, you don't need to get to level 50 and have all the cars in the game, just enjoy the game.

The main problem is it's hard to make money when you are not online and even when you are online you need to find a good lobby with a race normally by the time you get in everyone leaves they need to make it easir to get credit when you are not online.

It is very strange that PD embraced the online esport style of game for GTS but left in the old school money grind for cars. I'm just SO glad I was gifted the ferrari by chance because the 20 million cr grind for the jag was painful.

I still can't see why PD doesn't implement an auction house like I've seen for Forza. People dump their unwanted cars in there, start them off at around 1/10th of the price they're usually valued at (so a Camaro would be a mere 3,500 credits, a Countach would be 180,000, the halo cars 1,000,000 etc.), other users bid on them for a set amount of time, whoever wins gets the car and hands the money over to the original seller. Only immediate problem I see with this is if the sale of the car runs into the 20,000,000 cap, though I guess you could always warn the player with a disclaimer or allow the option to use a car as payment rather than money.

Recommendation:
  1. Increase prize/credits and XP in Sports Mode (no one takes any notice of the winnings, as it is so poor.)
  2. Take away Daily car

Justification:

  • Players can buy the cars they want :tup:instead of getting duplicates of Kombis (I have six now).
  • Encourage more players online 👍 as It feels like it is diminishing.👎

If there's anything I hate in this game, it's definitely the P4 and XJ13 being 20 million credits still. That and selling gift cars gives you no money. I know you get cars for free from the daily workout, but it's just annoying is all. I feel lucky I ever got the P4 from that, have yet to get the Jag though.

Reached the 20.000.000 Cr again today without any grinding at all. idk what you guys are doing  :ouch:

I would sell my cars with liverys instead of uploading them.

Either an auction house or allow us to sell prize/gift cars for credits rather than just get rid of them. I've got a ton of dupes sitting around I want to get rid of for actual credits.

I want to drive the 20mln cars (well I bought the game to drive cars...) but with my casual playing I would have to sit down and grind with current fastest method.

So I wont cos screw that - there are better ways to spend time.

I'll get them with daily workout - cool. No - meh.

5mln wasn't enough PD ? Geez...

Grinding for cars is archaic design that needs to go.

I think whatever number pd puts in, be wins, poles or levels, you will get a fair number of players rubber banding or taking advantage of the system to grind it out. I guess the lower the number is, the less players would turn to that method, but is it significant enough to do anything about it?

I feel if anyone is looking at it as a grind, it will annoy you, the numbers will go up slowly and anything will feel like an age away. If you play the game for entertainment and enjoyment, you'll hit the levels/money etc all in good time.

I don't think they advertise it, but it does appear that there is a daily % bonus on the league mode at least. I just did a track event that should have gotten me $20,000 but awarded me $37,000. That looks to me is a daily bonus. I may run the same event tomorrow to see if it hits 200%.

No, because this I Gran Turismo, if you do not want to grind, go play other Racing games on PS4.
I know the two 20 million cars that we got in the game now are a bit high in credits but it does not take long to buy them, but I have both of them but I have not used them as yet and it does not look like I will ever will try them, and I do not know why I every brought them for in the first place.
