No offense taken but this is exactly my type of gameplay. I love 3rd person shooters. As I have said above many times, I have purchased every single GR game. Loved every single one of them especially GRAW1 and GRAW2. Future Soldier is a massive step backward for the series in many ways. If some of you dont believe me or metacritic 7.9 average then maybe as the reviews surface you will see where I am coming from. Gametrailers.com just released their review saying almost the exact same stuff I posted. GRAW 2 was superior in many ways and thats a 5 year old game. This is the only GR game I would recommend as a purchase. I would recommend it as a rental but then you will have to purchase the online pass for $10.00. You really wont be missing anything by not playing this game.

One thing I don't like about the way games are reviewed is that they lump the single payer and multiplayer together. Shooters are really 2 games anymore. They should do a multiplayer and single player review as 2 seperate games and 2 different scores. I've played all of the COD games, but have only even turned on the single player on 2 of them. Call of duty 2, and MW1. This Ghost recon will be the same way. I proabably won't even attemp to try the single player, unless my friends make me play coop which I don't like either.
I would say this version of the games online is excellent compared to other online shooters. The maps are setup so that you actually get into some really good gun fights with multiple people at once. The cover system makes these encounters pretty intense, and the addition of suppresion fire is awsome and really adds to the game. It's different then all of the other ghost recons, but it's still really good. It seems to be a mix of ghost recon, with a little COD and socom thrown in. I'm not missing the terrorist hunt mode at all, because that just prevents me from having to play it. I'm actually glad they left it out, because I'm all about competition and really don't want to have to play against the CPU at all. I've never really understood why people want a company to keep putting out the same game as their last one.
I would like some more non respawn game modes though. The one they have is good, but how about the sabetour mode with no respawn, or at least some other options other then the one they have. I've played all of the ghost recons, and I wouldn't say this is a step back. The guns and control feels much, much better then the old ones, and the graphics seem just fine to me. They're not as cartoonish looking as most of todays games. They're not near BF3 on the PC or anything, but for consoles they look just as good as any other shooter out there.
The sound is the one place I think this game does lack behind some of the better sounding shooters. It's no where near battlefield, or socom confrontation, but it is comparable to MW3. It gets you into the action, but it's not going to blow you away like a few games do. For the sound I'm not using TV speakers, I have a pretty decent 5.1 system hooked up to it. The placement of the sounds are pretty good, but sometimes you can't pinpoint exactly where someone is like in socom confrontation., and it doesn't seem to be near as dynamic as BF3.
Keep in mind I am strictly talking about the online play, sound and look of the game. I have no idea what the single player looks or plays like, and have no interest in finding out. As far as i'm concerend single player shooters should die, and they should focus more on the online portion of the games.
