But it just released and its a Beta, its nothing new for Beta servers to not be up and running like they've been up for 2 years.

Yeah I know there is always teething problems, which is why I will leave it a few weeks and then read some reviews, so if there are they will hopefully have been ironed out.
If a lot of the reviews say the servers are fine and dandy I will buy it.
This way if they are crud it saves me £40

Played the 360 version for a few minutes today. It seems much, much better then the PC version. Graphics, movement, feel of the gun, everything. It seems like 2 completely different games. I'm kind of wondering if they are. The PC version just says ghost recon online, but the 360 version says ghost recon Future soldier. Are there 2 different version of the game, or is the PC version just that bad?

Just researched this a little. I take back everything I have said about Future soldier. Ghost recon online is a different game, and it sucks. Advance warfighter seems like it might be a winner.

I played a few more hours last night on the 360. I really like the maps, and the game seems to be really good. The "weight" of the guns feel much better then BF3. I also always liked how in ghost recon, it feels like your guy is turning with the gun, instead of the world turning around you.

What was great, was that the team I was on, actually followed each other around and used teamwork. We didn't have one person who was a lone wolf just running around.

I think this may finally be a COD killer for my group of friends :)

Are the 360 beta servers down? I haven't been able to get in a game all day.

Impressions...

From MP1ST....
PlayStation 3

Issue: Players are having difficulty matchmaking
Description: Some players are experiencing issues with matchmaking on the PS3, unable to find a match, or are getting placed into a match solo.
Status: Some of the matchmaking issues have been resolved by a fix, but there are reports of some people still having issues. We’re aware of those issues and currently working on a fix to deploy as soon as possible.
Workarounds: Players may have success matchmaking if they change match preference from “Conflict” to “Any.” Rebooting your router may alleviate some problems as well.
Issue: Stuck “Checking for DLC”
Description: The issue causes the player to be stuck on the start screen while the system attempts to verify content on load.
Status: Aware of the issue
Workarounds: Rebooting the console will frequently clear the issue.

Xbox 360

Issue: Excessive loading times when joining games
Description: It appears that some players are able to find games and join them, but at launch will then sit at the loading screen.
Status: Aware of the issue
Workarounds: Reboot your console or go back to the Xbox Home, then relaunch the Beta client.
Issue: Intro Video Cycle can cause 360S to Lock up
Description: A few people have reported that the intro video will lock up after cycling multiple times while left idle. This seems to be limited to the 360S style consoles.
Status: Aware of the issue
Workarounds: Idle your console on one of the other screens (any menu will work).

That's the problem i keep having. The rebooting doesn't work for me :grumpy:

I'm loving this game. My favorite part is how kills really count for nothing toward a win in this game mode. One guy went 2-6 and had 3000 more points then any other player. I was 15-9 and another guy was 20-20 and he beat us by over 3000 points. He got them by taking objectives, and laying down suppresion fire. Being a camper or lone wolf does nothing for you at all, excpet help you K/D, and would take for ever to level up that way, unless you happen to be with a really good team in which case the match bonus will help you The winning match bonus is 1500 and I would guess the average game score for a player is around 2000. It seems like the best way to get points is through teamwork bonuses.

They seem to have made this very team oriented, and the game mode it is using now, almost forces the action to certain spots of the map. It does a good job at slowing down the pace of the game, but then all of a sudden a really good 3 or 4 man firefight breaks out. It seems like people from either COD or BF3 should transition over pretty well to this game. Just this BETA might be my favorite console shooter so far, since socom confrontation. The one thing i really don't like though, is that I tried to play with a friend the other night, and it didn't put us on the same team. Hopefully they fix this, and it doesn't end up like BF3 and be really ahrd to play with friends. That's pretty much the reason we all gave up on battlefield, was because how hard it was to get into games together.

If anyone has an extra 360 code for the beta, I would love to have it. I have a friend I'm trying to get to buy it, and i think the beta would win them over.

I have purchased every single Ghost Recon game but I am not sure about this one. The lack of information, videos, and feedback from the community is usually not a good sign. TDU2 had the same problem. Hardly any information or feedback was discussed before the released and it ended up being a disaster. So I am a bit nervous about this game especially after all the server issues this beta had.

I loved the multiplayer. It was only one game mode in the beta, and I never got tired of it at all. I'm really hoping my group of COD players makes the switch to this. I can't take much more COD, it's just so boring. If it wasn't for my old socom 2 buddies I probably wouldn't have ever bought MW3.

I'm ready for some strategy and it seemed like future soldier will have some. Not alot like the older socoms, or americas army, but at least alot more then COD.

^ If you are tired of COD (I got tired of that years ago after COD:WAW) then you should check out BF3. I love that game and never get tired of it! Especially conquest. I dont care much for team deathmatch, feels too much like COD. But if you get into conquest mode on the huge maps with tanks, buggies, jets, and helicopters, the game is very fun.

I really like BF3 too, but my friends don't. I've got a group of around 7 or so people I have been playing with for years, and playing with them is more fun then playing other games with random people. I tried getting them to play
BF3 but it didn't last long and they all wanted to go back to COD. I think BF3 was just to hard for them, and they had all gotten use to the super aim assist of COD.

What I'm really hoping is that future soldier has some decent non respawn modes to play. I've tried search and destroy on COD, but just don't care much for the game mode. I wish it was more like the socom mode with one bomb in the middle, and both teams have a chance to blow up the others base.

I even tried getting my friends to go back to socom confrontation, but the PSN is just so bad, none of them could go back to it, after getting use to xbox live.

^ That the exact same problem I have. I love BF3 but most of my friends get sucked into COD each year. They dont like getting killed by vehicles. I do have a couple friends that enjoy BF3 so when they are on I try to play with them. A lot more fun with friends for sure since people dont communicate much in games anymore.

I love games with land and air vehicles. Thats why I think I am only going to rent Future Soldier. The mp wont be my thing at all since it has no vehicles. Plus I am really only interrested in the co-op campaign. The worst part about the co-op campaign is that you can ONLY play it with friends. That REALLY kills this game for me.

Due out on July 3rd, the Arctic Strike Map Pack adds new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer mode, a new Guerrilla Mode co-op map, as well as six new weapons to the Tom Clancy shooter. It’s priced at 800 Microsoft Points / $9.99. Pre-orders through GameStop and Best Buy are available.

Did you get to play the beta camaro?
Yes and it was terrible. Servers constantly down or locking up in loading screen. Out of the 13 betas I played, this was the worst. Gameplay was ok, its a mix between Gears Of War 3, COD, and GRAW.

After playing the beta I decided this will only be a rental for me. The co-op and horde mode can only be played with friends. Its the first Ghost Recon game I have not purchased. I just have a very bad feeling about this game after playing that poor beta.

I did have some trouble getting in games too with the beta, but I loved the gameplay. I thought the one mode offered was much better then any of the cod game modes. I'm just do sick of cod, I will probably like any game where the aim assist doesn't follow the guys running for you. I'm really hoping my buddies will finally throw out cod for this. BF3 didn't do it though, so I doubt this does either.

I didnt care for the beta either, mainly because of how the game played. It didnt feel very fluid. There were other things i thought that needed to be adjusted (class balancing, hit detection(?) etc) but its only a beta and thats what betas are for, to test and make changes.

I have participated in 13 different betas and usually the betas are a solid piece of how the full game will be. Some minor changes and some graphic polish but usually what you see in a beta is what you get in the full game. Some people are already reporting audio problems that were in the beta, stats not updating, and other issues. I still dont see any reviews for this game. I expect it to get slaughtered by the community and the reviews. Especially after what a year and a half of delays? My wife rented it for me so I will play it tonight and provide feedback tomorrow.

and if you are tired of COD and battlefield you should get Ghost recon future soilder

Played about 10 games tonight, and i'm really liking it. The guns feel good, the movement is how it should be, and it's all about teamwork. Kills mean nothing toward winning the game. The only time kills matter is in the non respawn mode that I haven't tried yet. If there is a tie at the end of the game, your team wins by getting points for suppressing the enemy or healing teamates. There is no lone wolf at all that can possibly help your team in any mode.

Another thing I really liked is how you are rewarded for taking aim. I really didn't notice any aim assist like the magnet style of COD, but I'm sure there is some there, just hidden better. The hip shot has no accuracy at all it's only good for suppression, the first zoom helps a little but not over maybe 20 feet or so, and the 3rd zoom where you bring up the sights is dead on. The health seems pretty good too. It takes alot of far away limb shots to take you down, but a chest or head shot drops you in one shot.

I really can't think of anything bad to say about it. I guess there could be a few more game modes and maps, but i'm sure those will come with DLC. We did get a disconnect in one game, but that's not bad for a release day game.

I'm really hoping this gets my friends away from COD. It is hard though, and unless they start working as a team, and getting some wins, I fear they will go back to COD and start running around spraying at people.

This game could get very frustrating though if you didn't have any friends to play with, or kept getting stuck on teams that refused to work together at all. Besides socom 2, I think this might be the most team based gameplay I've played on a console.

I think it is still fool hardy to trust the betas there is a reason there called that and from all reports the game is doing fine and most people are very happy with it

Installed the game and started playing this last night. Tried to get a 4 player co-op going with friends and BAM...........ONLINE PASS (called uplay passport). I could not frickin believe it. I watched the forums all day and no one mentioned this at all. 👎:ouch: First negative punch to this game and Ubisoft. It does allow me to play the multiplayer but I can only level up to level 5. Which is usually a couple games. So this means if you buy it used or rent it, you cant play the 4 player co-op campaign or the 4 player co-op Guerrilla (horde) mode. Even if you do purchase the game you are forced to only play with friends. I thought games quit doing that 5 years ago.

Sooo I started with the campaign solo. First thing I noticed was the massive step backward with the graphics. While I always prefer gameplay over graphics, I have adapted to the Ghost Recon stunning graphics. GRAW2 was one of the most beautiful games for a long time. Well those days are long gone. The graphics that were in the beta are the exact same graphics in the multiplayer AND the campaign. I knew they would have to tone down the campaign to get the 4 player co-op but dang its a bit rough to be honest. Graphics are even lower than RSV. This feels like a massive step backward in almost every way. Its almost like they hired a different team to work on this. A few changes here and there would have been fine but wow this is a dramatic change.

I made it through several levels. Campaign has been fairly fun. Your 3 AI team mates are very intelligent. They take commands very well, stay in cover, and dont run out to alert the enemy. The sync shot is awesome. Its identical to RSV2 where you "tag" the enemies then give the command to attack. Works very well and would probably be even more fun with real life co-op partners. Its much faster paced than the other GR games but thats ok. Some of the load times can be a bit long. Not as long as Max Payne 3 but still some are up to about 2 minutes later in the game.

After playing some of the campaign I jumped into multiplayer for 1 round. It was the same mill map from the beta. Looks and plays identical to the beta. So if you were expecting changes, the changes are not noticable at all. Luckily the server worked right away for my 1st game. Thats about all the feedback I can provide thanks to the online pass. Oh they also removed the popular 16 player terrorist hunt mode. One of the most popular modes in all the GR series. Its basially a 16 player co-op horde mode. Gone.

I was guessing that this game might average a 7.0 from reviewers. So I googled metacritic.com and right now it has a 6.9. http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/tom-clancys-ghost-recon-future-soldier
