Just a general question, i got the collectors edition yesterday with the 2 sniper weapon DLC codes & i cant seem to find them in-game. I not sure if i stuffed up the codes since after i put them in via account management & reading later that i had to do it in game, i dont know if there there or not.

I thought the two weapons when you get the collectors addition where in the riflemen class. Are you talking about the mk14 and the AK?

No, thoes two come with the signature edition, the collectors edition has the M40 Sniper rifle & the MN 91/30 Sniper

Im sorry, i wasnt aware how many editions and extra guns came out. I was under the impression that the mk14 and Ak were the only ones.

Just to piggy back there is a sweet limited edition through FUture shop for GRFS unfortunatly I live in the US and Futureshop on ships to canada grrrrI wanted that statue

This is one of the worst console > PC ports I have ever played.

-No keyboard/mouse support at launch? Really?
-All the hints show XBOX buttons? Seriously, that is f-ing lazy.
-No full screen support?

On top of this the game itself sucks, the graphics are horrid, and the weapon sounds are comical at best. Very glad I did not pay for this.

If you're on PC... Do yourself a favor and skip this title.

That's not what I wanted to hear at all.

Can you take some screenshots of the game in-action? What's the API support? 9, 10, 11? Sounds are the least of my concerns because I know naught about guns to begin with.

9/11 (according to the specs on their site).

I uninstalled the game before I took any screen shots, sorry. I literally played the first mission, messed with the "gun smith," and then immediately uninstalled it.

Supposedly they will be patching these problems soon LOL.

Ubisoft says it is "working aggressively to correct any issues as soon as possible." LOL. How about before release?

You would think these problems would never have been issues.... But, I guess we know how much time we put into the port... How they forgot to enable/bug check mouse/keyboard support... they obviously didn't test it. No way in heck they are getting my money.

My opinion is to stay far away. If you are a big fan of the series then maybe rent it for console... Maybe.

Why is it that during campaign, if you fire from cover, the enemy either is completely unaware of you or knows exactly where you are? I feel like I should be able make shots from cover, in a bush, at a distance, in camouflage, and not be instantly shot at!

Secondly, the melee system is implemented so horribly. It angers me.

Okay, so I bought this game on Steam because the single player got pretty good reviews.

As people have mentioned, it's buggy. Loading is pretty much hit-and-miss (e.g. sometimes it will load almost instantly, when in other cases you can wait for at least a few minutes), and it crashes quite often.

Other than that, I think it's a pretty solid game. Except that it doesn't feel like I'm playing Ghost Recon. I feel like I'm playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 with different toys. That's not necessarily bad, because I liked RSV2, but that's not what I would expect from a Ghost Recon game. Levels are as linear as you can get them, and events are mostly scripted.

That said, I still enjoy it. Looks good, sounds good, and the firefights are enjoyable (though I think the use of all those high-tech toys is a bit too much IMO).

The game is just doing terrible all around. THE worst Ghost Recon game made and this is coming from someone that has bought ever GR game since the beginning. Some of the graphics are just atrocious especially the scenery with the trees, shrubs, grass. In a game that involves scenery, it looks terrible. Especially the jungle levels.

Majornelson posts xboxlive activity and Future Soldier has dropped to 20th place out of the top 20 list. Thats not good at all for a game that hasnt been out very long. By the time the next report comes out, it wont even be in the top 20.

LIVE Activity for week of July 9

Its averaging 70/100 on Metacritic. Just not doing well at all and from what I have heard the recent server updates have made the game even harder to connect to. They sure took a massive step backward with this game. 👎

Well that's a shame, I was thinking of picking it up. Might still do when it's £5 on Steam. Do any of you PC guys ever play the first Ghost Recon? In all the years I've owned it I've never played it online, I seem to remember hearing about a co-op mode though. Also I haven't played it properly in a long, long time so I have no idea if I'll even be able to finish a mission... I think I'll try and get back into it.

neema t Please dont take someones opinon for it please paly it for yourself. What platform do you play on though? PS3 is supposed to be great for this game according to what I read and I'll be getting it eventually for PS3 when the price drops. But the PC version seems to have been significantly worse. Anyone thinking about getting it for PC should consult how it works after released patches.

I can appreciate games on their own merit and not based on what came before, so the fact that it's not a true Ghost Recon game as I've been hearing doesn't bother me in the slightest, but I have to echo the following:

What platform do you play on though?

This is the key factor, I've heard the PC version is a terrible port which has been reinforced by this thread. It doesn't surprise me, Ubisoft have made it quite clear that they don't value PC players and are acting an awful lot like a company who wants to prove that the PC audience isn't worth bothering with... I can't think of a single reason why always-on DRM (which thankfully no longer exists in their new stuff) was ever considered a good idea. From Dust was a terrible port too and I Am Alive isn't even being ported, but from what I've heard that's probably not such a bad thing after all. Also some people working for Ubisoft pretty much came right out and said PC gamers are all pirates. Oh and the guy who made I Am Alive said this:

"We’ve heard loud and clear that PC gamers are bitching about there being no version for them ... But are these people just making noise just because there’s no version or because it’s a game they actually want to play? Would they buy it if we made it?" (Source)

That kind of attitude doesn't exactly fill me with confidence when it comes to Ubisoft, so I'd be surprised if GRFS on PC is ever patched to be worth more than £5.

Anyway, back to the game, is it one of those with a sort of token single-player campaign but a huge array of multiplayer modes and stuff? Is there more co-op than adversarial? If it's just another 3rd person online adversarial shooter with co-op and singleplayer fluff added, I'm significantly less interested, if it's mostly co-op with a token multiplayer mode then I'm cool with that.

I'll be getting it for single player. If there is fun multiplayer experience to be had then that's a bonus. It is one thing to have a great co-op mode available, it is quite another to have a great co-op experience. Meaning: in the real world it's hard to find at the time of your choosing a lag free and networking failure free game with other players willing to co-op and not go killstreaking. Great co-op game sessions to be remembered are in my experience few and far apart.

I completely disagree with this 100%. I have been playing it since release and I actually find it to be tremendous fun. I dont get the statement about the graphics really, I saw some gameplay videos of GRAW and GRAW2 and it looked horrendous and you where someone saying that graw looks way better. I dont care what place its in on the boards, I can get on every day, any time of day, and still find a full lobby to play in for hours until I feel like turning it off. All these scoring systems do is cater to games that seem to be trending.

Dont judge everything in your life by a score or else you limited to things because of someone that didnt like it.

Hey guys are any of you on PS3 trying to get back to playing this game also I was wondering are there any good forums for this game to conversate and join up with people ?

New DLC drops on tues ( sept 11th) here is all the info curtosey of Gamming ilistrated(http://gamingillustrated.com/ghost-recon-future-soldier-new-dlc/)

Recently, Ubisoft announced a new DLC pack that will be available for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier entitled Raven Strike. The Raven Strike DLC pack is not simply a map pack to extend multiplayer player and competitive play. Rather, Raven Strike is being marked as “a throwback to traditional Ghost Recon gameplay”. The DLC pack contains bigger maps, ramped up difficulty levels and missions that are more complex. The Raven Strike pack has three campaign missions and a new “Guerilla Mode” map, both the campaign missions and new map will allow four players to play this new DLC content.

It is uncharacteristic for most high profile FPS franchise entries to wait several months to bring out new DLC for the game (most usually around or on the date of release) since this pack is the first of upcoming DLC for the game, it seems like the development team has put effort and thought into Raven Strike.

The DLC pack will cost 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live and $14.99 on the PlayStation Network, and fans can pre-order Raven Strike at GameStop or Best Buy if they choose to do so. Raven Strike DLC will be available for purchase for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 11, 2012 with a release date for PC to be announced.

Here is what will be included in the Raven Strike DLC pack for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier:

3 new missions in Campaign Mode:

Secure Dawn: a foggy marsh in Kazakhstan where the Ghosts will not be allowed access to advanced technology (no optical camouflage, drone or sensor grenade)
Cold Walker: a train depot on the Russian countryside
Argent Thunder: a nighttime urban setting in Moscow
1 new map in Guerrilla Mode

Sawmill: face 50 waves of enemies on a foggy Russian countryside
If you are new to the Ghost Recon Future Soldier universe, in this game you join a highly trained group of “losing is not an option” elite special-ops soldiers. Armed with weapons of every variety and top-of-the-line military technology, Ghost Recon Future Soldier takes you around the world to track, hunt and eliminate the highest value threat targets.

^ Clearly they have realized the franchise went the wrong way with Future Soldier. So this dlc that is "a throwback to traditional Ghost Recon gameplay" is their attempt to revive the game from the dead. However I fear its way too late.

Not everyone buys games on release. I will get this for sure eventually. A tad early to declare games "dead".

I disagree they had to have this DLc in the works as a matter of fact I recall that this DLC and at least one more were in teh works before the game even was released

So... Anyone still playing? Did it ever get patched enough to be less buggy? It's currently in the Steam sale so I'm thinking of picking it up.

Also, how much single player content is there? Is it just the campaign or are there other game types too?
