Ghost Salvage Tunes

Hi, I started playing The GT series about a year after GT5 was released and found it really fun. I mainly roamed GTPlanet to find tunes for my cars without really taking the time to enjoy the process of tuning a car yourself. Since the release of GT6 I have decided to join in with tuning cars, but I decided that I will tune the cars that don't get the most attention and give more of a variety. The more criticism of the tunes, the better I can become in making tunes for more people to enjoy. I will try to improve tunes based on any criticism I get. I tune with DS3 and all aids off except ABS: 1.

Hey, Did everything explained here an i can have 446bhp 100%PL @500pp :/

I assume you did this on a brand new car? I didn't think to check the specs with a new one so the 2 more hp is probably correct, I have about 800 miles on mine with fresh oil changes in there. Thanks for pointing that out and I will check it out in the morning.

Struggled to settle into this one. Understeer on the sweepers and oversteer on the tight middle sector. Found I was still lighting up the rears in 3rd gear. Sometimes felt like it had a mind of its own. Kudos for going with something different.

DaBomm4
Time: 1:19.753
DC Score: 6.5
Review: When I wasn't fighting the front understeer, the rear end would kick out on me and vice versa. I won't lie, this was a very tough car to drive and I left everything out on the track with it. I think you did what had to be done in order to make this car competitive against the other Mustangs. Even though it was an underdog at the start, and a handful, your tune did manage to knock off over a second than stock. I wish we had another '07 to compare it to. Sorry mate.:indiff:

DaBomm4:
Lap time - 1:19.784 - DC - 7.5

Leading up to the deadline, I had tuned each of the three cars but spent the least amount of time on this one as I felt it was the slowest AND hardest to improve. The night before I began testing I took my GT for 8 laps to prepare and set a base time, your tune did manage to beat it. There is the ever present understeer that you managed quite well but lose of rear grip on accel through turns 3,4 and 5. Overall a really nice job here and I applaud the effort of being the only one brave enough to try this one. DC was given a bonus for that.👍

DaBomm4 – 1:19.981

DC - 7

This car has always had a massive problem with understeer, don't know what causes it but that's just the way it is. This tune felt initially promising through the first few corners, the understeer was still there but it was manageable, the car didn't hold its speed well through the corners but it was definitely an improvement. I was quite enjoying it until the last corner where that understeer came back with a vengeance, it just gave up halfway through and sent me off into the desert. The only way I could combat the understeer was to back right off the throttle as soon as I entered and coast through the entire section, even then I'd often have to brake to get the nose tucked in. This just killed the times, it wasn't bad round the rest of the circuit, not fast but definitely usable, it just lost time hand over fist in the last section.
DaBomm4 =1:20.027 DC:7-KUDOS for being the only one to build a GT. very impressed at how well the setup outperformed baseline tendencies. understeer was prevailing through my laps. I built a GT suited to my style of driving(midpoint between grip and drift) to test my theory and was able to basically slide a good majority of the track and still edge out .167sec ahead following the line. this tune you have here is on its way to being great…I'm sure the car will balance out more with a slightly lower front spring rate to compensate for the slightly bumpy track conditions. (THUMBS UP FOR A GREAT CAR). if you decide to work on this tune any more please send me your updates as I would love to see where you could go with this car/tune with more time on it.
DaBomm4 1:20.731 DC-7 First of all, kudos for your car choice. I think it was a tremndous improvement over the factory car. There was nothing really bad about your tune except that you were tuning a terrible car. A certain saying about polishing a turd comes to mind... Your gears were matched to the track very well too. I never dropped below the power band and still had plenty of gear left at the end of the straight.

Note: The tune still has some lift off throttle rotation and can require a little throttle control out of the slower corners. Good luck testers.

This car has been chasing me around the track, hunting me down. It does not need stealth, because it is already crazy.

Really struggled to get into this one. Needs precise inputs that I can't provide with the DS3. Found understeer when on the power and the rear end breaking loose in the lower gears. Sorry to the tuner for my time but it should fair better for other drivers.

@DaBomm4 Tune here
Stock Lap;2:01.479 O_o Lap time;1:50.183 DC; 7
Impressions of the tune; This car liked to do two things really well, go fast and try and kill you. The TLOR and BLOR killed me in this car. I could never quite it right through all the turns on the course when I did it get right in a few turns it was fantastic just zipped the turns like I was on rails. I think the rear dampers were a bit high and caused the weight to shift around suddenly and was the cause of my issues with stability in this tune. This would be a great car on high speed tracks with only a few tight turns.

A good tune that was a little twitchy in the beginning until I figured it out. High camber did not hurt in my opinion but did make throttle application difficult without some control. Brakes were really good and turn 1 was fun, the inner loop however was tricky. Nice job.

Review: This car can get a little temperamental with steering and throttle inputs. Can push going into the corner and has some snappy oversteer on exit. Easiest way for me to drive this car was hitting my marks, trusting my decision with the steering, and very light on the "X" button until the car was completely straight.

Review: This tune needs to be driven hard and precise. Great into the first corner and in the infield. But some high
speed understeer in the chicane cost time. Unstable enough to be fast. But, for me not consistant. Well done.

Corner entry:

Poor rotation , driving inputs don´t gives a good result, you´re a passenger. Settings are in the right direction but the car stay lazy. Perhaps a higher front RH would help.

Mid corner:

Very neutral, same sensation, the car is planted on his line and there is no way to give some extra rotation with whel or throttle.

Out corner:

Good LSD settings that allow to be early on power. The car perform well here, becoming alive playing with the direction.

Overall :

The diving sensation is not so bad but a few more extreme settings giving more rotation would be more pleasant and fast. This car is a good choice for a safe online racing.

Good tune. Congrats.

Entry: Felt quite responsive and keen to turn in but also a little bit vague, I'd hazard a guess that this was a result of the camber you were running. This said, it had a nice transition between grip and slipping which made the car quite forgiving when you turned in too soon. Brakes felt good, got the car stopped but didn't interfere with the front end grip

Mid: Fairly stable with decent rotation, sometimes got a little bit of understeer as a result of all four wheels letting go but as long as you didn't ask too much of it the car would do more or less as you asked. I think this is where it was losing the most time due to the camber, just couldn't sustain the same speeds through the mid section of the corners.

Exit: Not bad, a bit slippery and again a touch gutless due to a really open diff, held its lines fairly well enough but would get nervous on the throttle.

Overall Enjoyment: I quite liked the little MG, it felt a bit odd at times but performed well from a drivers perspective. If I hadn't had the speedo in front of me highlighting the speed loss I would have said it was performing as well as any of the others.

Overall I liked the car but I just couldn't get consistent laps , there's another half second plus if I could string it all together, the rear is quite slippery but it's a big improvement on the stock car.

A spunky little tune that was a ton of fun for me, the last turn did this tune in though as it was chasing Legit's ghost. It would be with or better up to turn 3 then slightly behind, struggled to get off the final turn and watched the ghost pull away. If I could have gotten back on throttle just a tick sooner.......
Nice tune, great job.👍
