Nobody else get one? Or even slightly interested in it?

Well I'm going to tell you about it anyway, without spoiling anything. The general formula and gameplay mechanics are basically same old same old, which isn't a bad thing because what God of War has always got perfect is the controls and combat. The level you play through is generally pretty epic to, and one HUGE teaser at the end.

Where did you get it???

Tell me it rox!

Got an email from PSN telling me how valued I am, including the exclusive code to download the demo. Nothing special as far as I know, I just got it at random and I'm over the age rating for GoW 3.

I have one, just not had a chance to even download it yet (hope to tonight) as I have been away with work.

It's a pretty big file so be warned, I think it was 2.6gb or there abouts, certainly a leave to shutdown job for me. That said, it's a reasonable size demo, particularly when you take into account just how much is going on. If you've played previous games in the series, it won't take you long to get going properly, but it doesn't feel stale and not just because it's in a new set of paint. Speaking of, graphically, it's fantastic to look at and the music and sound is spot on as well.

Thanks for the heads-up, I will set that dowloading now while we get the kids to bed and watch some TV.

It's certainly worth a download even though it will take a while, I mean for one it's free and exclusive, but it's a solid demo and certainly gives a taste of whats to come. Infact, I hope they release it on the store because it certainly got me interested in getting it for Xmas or something and I imagine it will probably get more people to buy it, even if based on graphics alone. For some reason people seem to think a good looking game is automatically a good game in the more casual audience, and this has plenty of violence (cool violence mind) to make it some good visual experiences.

I haven't seen plans to put it on the store but the US PlayStation Blog has confirmed it will be in the God of War Collection and packaged on the District 9 Blu-Ray. Plenty of people will have the opportunity to play it before the game launches.

I keep going back to the little demo we get, it's really good fun after such a gap since II. I'm sure many people will criticise it for not changing the core formula much, but this is one of those games that can pull it off due to the sheer scale, the already close to if not perfection involved in those core mechanics and the general epicness of everything that happens. The simple fact remains, slaughtering folk as Kratos rarely becomes stale, each fight is satisfying and I get the feeling that the full release will be nothing short of fantastic.

Not all of us :grumpy:

Is the demo 720p or 1080p? I heard long ago that the game would be in 1080p, but the PS3's graphical capabilities may have been overstated at the time.

Why I didn't get code? And I am also registered as UK citizen.

I couldn't tell you, now I'm at uni I'm not using a HDTV anymore so I don't know what resolution it would run if I did. Is there any other way of finding out?

At Tomaz: Not everyone did, it was exclusive and only a few users got it, not to mention you'd have to be over 18 to get it I should think, as the game is rated 18.

before 4 days , i got my GOW Collection copy BUT ther is no voucher or code for GOW 3 demo , there is nothing about it at all !!!

Whats the problem !!?

plz help !

yes, apparently, some boxes have the code and others don't. If you have the code, then it says so on the front of the game case: something like "icludes free GOW3 voucher".

I ordered mine from gamestop (I live in the Netherlands) and thankfully got the right version with the demo.

Sorry to hear that you did not get one; it truly is breathtaking!

Don't fret though, I'm sure they'll release iteventually on PSN for all to download.

Meanwhile, GOW and GOWII are simply stuning in HD; what great games they really are!

In all seriousness, how much force is required to separate the human head from the body by means of pulling on it? It was seen in the demo of GOW3 but just to NOT spoil it...

You mash the L1 and R1 alternatively to tear out Helios' head

Call me sadistic, but that scene was pure adrenaline rush to me. Yup, so how much?

on a side note: Hi again GTP, it has been too long.

Thats God of Wars party piece, the great controls, combat, epicness and then they top it off with just pure violence. It makes you feel like the bad ass Kratos is and the words overkill have never been so appropriate.

Demo is 720p. I read too that the final game is supposed to be 1080p and 60fps.

Loving the cestus weapons.

here's my code
2HKE-FKB7-PFFK
i hope it works but i'm not sure if it will
sorry in advance if i wasted some of your time.
