If you only had to pick one movie. What movie would you choose between the 2 given? What movie did you like best?

neither?:p

the original GI60 was ages better than both of these!

The Fast and the Furious is a guilty pleasure of mine. The movie has fast cars and hot girls. What more can you want?

I think I've watched it about seven or eight times. Oh, and Vin Diesel is a bad-ass.

Nexus Maelstrom

i like Fast..cuz the cars. Gone in 60 has nice ones but there exotic cars. I like the cheaper modified cars. The fact of onwing a car that looks completely different from anybody elses just is awesome IMO

The Original Gone in 60 Seconds, because the chase scene was like an hour long, they destroyed so many cars and the real Elanor rules.

Bullit was cool...same with Vanishing Point, I saw VP on speedvision the weekend we got dish...it's about a guy in a Cougar(I think that's what it was)(old one)that is running from the cops from Nevada(I think that's where it started) to Cali, and there's a Radio host who is helping him. The last scene was a total surprise, the cops set up 2 bulldosers on the road blocking the way, so I thought that he woulda just turned around or go past it on the grass. Nope, he slams into them and there's a big fireball and he's dead. The scene was quiet, like he just drove into them and people walked up to the fliped car, nothing said, and that was the end of the movie...wierd...

I agree the new one doesnt show much about the cars or how they were stolen eg the jaguar xj 220 just arived there

and as for F&F full of todays crapy buzz boxes plus have a look carefully into the drag scenes and how they draw out 10secs its total bull s*** and what was the best car there a 60's the muscle car

Who's seen a TV show called Viper, promotion for Dodge Viper, crappy story line, and a Dodge Viper which can change into a weird looking thing lol...

Duel, that was a cool movie, you know with the killer tracktor trailor that was chasing that guy...it was cool

Maz Kid, the Car in VP was a 1970-71 Dodge Challenger with a 440 six pack. Very similar to the movie Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry. A great chase movie with little plot and a fireball ending. Mary, Larry, and another dude were running from the cops after heisting a payroll from a grocery store. Started the chase in a 1966 Bel-air four-door. They changed cars at a swap meet for a Bright yellow '69 Charger. (very low-profile :p ) They ran from the cops for the entire movie.
About the time it looked like they would get away, they ran into a train at about 110 mph.

Who ever saw the french movies Taxi and Taxi 2?

It is a totally realistic (physics whys) story about an ex-pizza-delivery boy who wants to be a taxi driver and buys himself a Peugeot 406 and then modifies the **** out of it. Really a must-see!!!!

Gil, yea that's what it was...I saw it at about midnight and I was half awake...

I'm going with NEITHER. I can't think of a really good car movie since the 60s.

Of course, I haven't seen Driven. SLy Stalone as screenwriter, even! :rotfl:

Driven-driving an Indy car down streets....doesn't get more realistic than that...

Thats also a very good movie. Its a good chick and guy movie. My girl liked it. Any ways i didnt put that in the poll because thats more of a racing f1 movie.

Dude i don't know how u can post a poll like that, these movies are impossible to compare, i mean F&F only has nice cars while GI60 has a script and the nice cars so actually only one of these is a movie the other is just a cars show

Aww man, come on! Driven stank! No wonder Bernie told Sly to shove it, the whole story sucked. That whole thing with the humming, and the 25c pieces, it was just stool. And then all the 'wheel to wheel' racing where the drivers kept flooring the throttle, then you'd cut to the other guy, and he'd floor it, then you'd cut back to the first guy, and he wasn't flat. It was gash! The crash scenes were good, and the way they integrated the footage with real-life races was good too, but otherwise, the movie was just toss.

3/10

i liked the races and the crashes and the 25c stuff and when they started humming i thought it was way cool, but all the off track stuff you can shove it

A movie no one has mentioned it The Great Train Robbery. While it strictly speaking is not a car movie. The last part of the movie with the chase all over the Italian countryside in the three Austin Mini Coopers was very cool.

I think you're right, (old guy (me) has brain fart). What ever it's called those Mini's are very cool. MacGyver even copied that chase for one show. :D
