Well, I see the forum software has been upgraded to 3.6. 👍 When will we be able to see the new features?

So, thanks for working on it, I sure wouldn't wanted to. :scared:

He was going to upgrade the forum software, but vB messed up, since this is a very large forum, and it took a lot longer.
 
I'll ask that you all hold your breath a bit longer as we're not out of the woods yet.

To give you an idea, vB like to handle 500,000 entries. With GTPlanet.net, Jordan is nearly 10 times that amount. So it is extremely tedious.

While most of you have only seen a few hours of down time, Jordan has been diligently working behind the scenes for nearly two weeks.

Please bear with us, as it all gets sorted out. In addition, if you see odd things happen please post it up in the Site feedback forum.

Doesnt Jordan have a 56K? or Dial up or something? Gees, poor guy. Thanks Jordan, and staff. Keep it up. Im sure that if we could, we would pool our money to buy you a Murcielago LP640, or whatever else you wanted, but for now all we can offer is our sincere thanks and appreciation. I hope we can all try to thank you, with words and by following the AUP/ToS to make your jobs easier.;)

And I know thats probably hypocrisy, coming from me in particular, but I will try.
 
Everytime I use the quick reply box I get this (And no, I'm not clicking twice, or getting lag, or anything else out of the ordinary)

Yes great work Jordan. Thanks to you and all the Admin/Moderating staff on GTP who work so hard to keep it as good as it is.

Funny, that last post thing is one of the problems i got when upgrading. It can be fixed by rebuilding the skin, i think. That's what vB said anyway...
 
Well done Jordan for your work so far!

Can I ask all people giving feedback to create a new thread for each issue, and to summarise the issue succinctly in the title please?
 
Thanks for the support everyone, but I do owe you an apology due to the long downtime and to the now broken features. I expected the upgrade to take an hour at most - then I could spend the rest of the day cleaning up bugs and integrating the new features. Of course, the upgrade didn't go to well, so that pushes everything back which means it will be a day or two before everything works normally and all the new features are integrated. I'll post a new thead in the News forum which describes the new features and changes in detail. :)

I just noticed that a little side pop-up pops up when you click on the reputation mark, so you won't have to go anywhere. 👍

Yeah, that's an excellent new feature! It also pops up if you try to rep the same user too soon and if you try to rep the same post again! 👍
 
Dont think ive ntoiced multi quote before..or im just blind (green and white button in bottom right of posts)
 
But the dang "last post" button is gone. Man, I wore that button out when it was there.

If you want to quote more than one person at a time, click on that button next to the post you want to quote and it'll turn into a tick. Go through marking as many posts as you want then when you hit the Quote button on any post you'll be taken to the Reply page and all the posts you clicked on will be quoted. Cool feature 👍
