Traded in my 200SX SE-R and got this:

SRT_resize.jpg

It's a 2003 model and had 12,099 miles on it when purchased. Let's just say the mileage is alittle higher now. :sly: All I can say is this thing is a beast.

Nice, but to back it up, take a photo with I love GTP on a piece of paper on the hood or something.

[EDIT] That came out abit wrong when I read it. I don't doubt it is yours, so please don't take it taht way. But some people might, and it is better to nip it in the bud.

M5Power
Is that an Expedition or an F-150?
 one of the bad things about this car is Front engine Front wheel drive WTF? (Considering if you get the turbo upgrades it would be a little silly to have 300 Hp on a FF but its still ok.

I am not au fait with Neons, but isn't the SRT-4 variant a 4WD?

One important question - what's up with those front brakes? They look tiny!

No, STR-4 does not mean 4wd if thats what you meant and the Neon SRT-4's are front wheel drive.

No - but it'd be a great idea. Then Impreza owners would have nothing to brag about holding over SRT owners. Except, perhaps, a nicer interior, though that's up for debate.

Just so you know,

SRT-4 = Dodge Neon (small sedan) (turbocharged 4-cylinder)
SRT-6 = Chrysler Crossfire (small coupe/convertible - similar to Mercedes SLK) (supercharged V6)
SRT-8 = Dodge Magnum (large wagon) (V8)
SRT-10 = Dodge Ram (pickup) / Dodge Viper (both use V10s)

The increase in numbers simply means an increase in engine size (indicating the number of cylinders).

We get the Crossfire. It was caned in the press. The only thing I noticed was how thin the boot aperture is...

So, what's up with that Neon's front brakes? They still look tiny. And red.

Yeah if it was 4 WD then that would be way too cheap and a probably a great buy.

long gone member Frustrated Palm had a SRT4 with some turbo upgrades and a custom exhaust system, and other goodies, and it made 302 hp and ran the quarter in 12. 7something. He always told me it was very tractable and streetable, he even took it to 150 mph once or twice. ask him.

nice upgrade on the car dude. noe convert it to RWD :dopey:

pfft, don't do that. Turn the engine around and bring the drivers seat to what *should* be the rear of the car. Flip everything around so it's a rear engine rear drive :dopey:

No problem, I'll get the picture done tomorrow.

BTW: The truck in the back is a 97 F-150.

The caliper is red, Famine. It must be the angle, because the front rotors are healty size on the SRT-4. What may be confusing you is that the SRT has 17" version of the 15" wheel found on the upper-line regular Neons.

Nice car! Head over to my buddies at www.neons.org and they can offer you lots of good advice.

Right. That's it! I've had enough.

I'm getting a bigger monitor, not made in 1997.

I hate to be the first one to tell you this but, the SRT-4 with minor mods will beat the hell out of most sports cars that sell for $20,000 more.

When this video was taken, the owner and driver (who is a girl) had nothing more than the Mopar Stg. 1 package/raised boost/turbo back exhaust/clutch and a set of drag radials. What did she run? Right click - Save as

Good purchase. :) 👍

Oh no I already know about this but I just hate the fact that its a FF instead of an FR I know its a fast car but all i am saying is that if it was a FR then it would be even a better car.

That's....ummm....my dad's truck.

(wait's patiently for "kid driving an SRT-4" bashing) :nervous:

J/K Take it easy on me.... :sly:

Oh, BTW, thought I'd include that I'm 19, with no tickets and a clean driving record. Insurance on this beast is $127 a month.

The question remains. Flareside robs you of bed space, causes wind noise, lowers fuel economy slightly, and costs more. I don't get it.

I don't think he cared about all that stuff. :D He just needed a truck to haul yard materials (not that much...), and for his second job as a pool cleaner. Oh, and it was bought used, so we really had little choice but to go with it at the time.

Nice car man..i hope I dont run into you on the street one night :scared: my rex isnt ready for that...yet. Those srt's definently are not to be messed with

I got tons of SRT-4's vid's stomping various cars, on the road. If someone wants to host them i'll send them via MSN, and we can post them here.

Let me know with a PM.

Don't underestimate an SRT-4. ;)
