Apologies to White Knuckle Motorsports. I had the pace but squandered it on poor pit strategy and put myself hopelessly out of the race. Good luck with the rest of your season!
Glad the WRX made the highlights, terrible start and race pace. Practice, practice, practice.
I think my audio issue is a PS5 thing. I plug in the headset to the controller but the voice chat still comes through the controller speaker unless I switch all audio to the controller. That is workable, but then it keeps randomly cutting back and forth between audio sources and that is just way too distracting. I think they need to patch that in a PS5 controller update.
My race weekend was rather interesting, I had forgot the grid was set by our standings in reverse. So I kept my head together and put the car right out to lead at least a lap, before sliding backwards while I struggled to get the fronts early.
Went for a 2 stop plan in a bid to try jump a few other cars ahead but I didn't really play out well especially the long pit lane. Had a great fight with a few cars after my first stop, and at the end of the race. Though I accidentally bumped and clipped some on my way defending and giving PApunk a headache (after his first stop), while he gave my tires a serious run for points. But trust me, his angry RX VGT is really loud from behind, I'll need to get some exhaust mufflers for him.
Definitely the softs helped me out in the middle of the race, while the mediums got me tiptoeing around the track.
