sorry, but this mod is horrible, nobody cares about these cars, in gran turismo there are amazing cars like the gt-one, the Toyota castrol Tom's supra or the Honda NSX, why would anyone use these cars, but the trailer music is cool

The mod is brilliant, just not your taste. Plenty of people care about the mundane cars, that's what made Gran Turismo.

There aren't enough games out there that let you drive regular cars. If you want to drive racecars and exotics, there are a ton of games out there.

I just expressed my opinion, but there is some a normal car that interests me, ok ok I admit it's a bit cool, some cars have potential

hey, sorry for the time, forget what I said today, yes, I prefer racing cars and supercars much more but I admit some normal models are cool to drive, it's a brilliant and perfect mod, I'm curious to try it when it comes out
 
They recently added a new car to the mod, the FSO Polonez Caro. There is a stream 10 days ago of it being modeled. I also found the finished models on the creator's X

Well, at least Poland is getting some representation. Granted it's with a car that originally had the same engine as a Fiat 125, which dates back to the 1950's... though, I think the Caro variant has a slightly less archaic (but equally wheezy) Peugeot engine. But hey you can't get much more beige than that, right?

This would be the GLi so it's the old Fiat engine. Just to confirm this is here because they were sold into Western Europe. Beyond this point there's no real "country specific" cars (no Eastern Bloc, Brazilian, Indonesian only cars .etc) this is done on purpose otherwise once you try to cater to everyone then you end up with them wanting more and more super obscure cars from that country and it becomes unmanageable. If it was forgettable and sold in North America, Western Europe or Japan in 1999 then it'll probably be here!

Y'know maybe if plan an Indonesian car to be in Beige, i suggest the Toyota Kijang. It's sold in other Southeast Asian countries and Africa so i wouldn't be "country-specific" and although it's pretty legendary here, i don't think forgetting about it wouldn't be so hard.

The only hard thing is choosing what to call it in the mod. This thing is sold under many different names and variants, but ehh Nathan said in a pinned comment that suggestions wouldn't be taken, so hopes of GT2 Kijang is nonexistant :[

Also, I just wanna appreciate the variants, i really appreciate that many cars in the mod have many variants. For example, there isn't only one GM U-body van, there's the Trans Sport, Venture, Sintra, etc. and they all get included, there's also the EPIC, Toyota Cami, Toyota Cavalier, i can go on! This really adds some depth to the car roster, something that vanilla GT2 also does greatly and you guys did a good job following that. Absolute cinema.

Appreciate the suggestion however the reason we aren't excepting requests is because unlike some of the more recent GT mods the plan is this will release and the release is the finished product, no updates. As a result the car list is now fully finalised in advance to make sure we have the space to add everything.

The Kijang is interesting, one of the many, many cars we looked at during the process but ultimately it's pretty unknown outside of the markets it was sold under. While I appreciate it's place in Africa and Asia much like PD the plan has been to focus on Western Europe, American and Japanese market cars of manufacture all around the world. This is easier from a research perspective (brochures, blueprints, specs etc) and would be where mine and the teams expertise lies.

On the variants, thanks for noticing! This makes adding them easier and also allows you to capture more of that vehicle. For example the four Chrysler minivans all have different drivetrains. There's a few examples of this in the mod although rest assured, there's plenty of unique models for each manufacturer to really have a purpose in the mod!

Is there a full car list that was released? Thanks.
 
We aren't showing the full list, mostly to keep some intregue (not the Oldsmobile that didn't make the cut) but much like modern racing games I think the plan is to drop some teasers and part lists soon.

Rest assured you know it's a good list when honestly there's not many if any cars I'd add to it, We've got a really good variety and with all the changed events everything should have a purpose, a race to enter and someone who'll enjoy using it.

Just a shame we still have to stick to 100 cars in a garage at one time as that limit can't be bypassed without breaking the game.

too bad, it would be really nice to have the garage without the 100 car limit like in gt4
