Hi everyone, small update, i may or may not have broken my elbow, so progress on Beige Edition may slow down a bit in the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued support of the mod!
Just to confirm this mostly means fancy stuff like cars, there's plenty of boring behind the scenes stuff going on that is too boring to share here but vital groundwork to getting things like events working. That won't be shared here (because it's notepad work) progress will be slower but there's still vital work happening!
Btw, hope its okay to ask, but I just wondered is there a second generation Punto planned? I wondered as this car was a new model at the launch time of the original game, I know the first generation is included, a remodel of the GT, but wondered if there was a Mk2 Punto planned also
Yeah the MK2 Punto is planned

Will all of the cars in Beige have a description made for them? A-Spec is quite inconsisent with this matter, with some new models having them (like the Isuzus) and most others don't.

And about Nathan's elbow, best wishes and i hope you get well soon :)

Was decided pretty early on that no is the answer on that, I'm not nearly a good enough writer and I think it's incredibly difficult to capture the tone the original had. Although the car info screen will still be pretty relevant for a different reason!

So i think the description button will just be a placebo or the menu's would be edited to not include that button anymore, if you guys were planning to update the garage previews anyway

No you can't modify those screens as far as I'm aware, the information button will have a different use though

Short if you've missed it:

I hope you like Civics because next update should be a lot of them with new models and textures.

Thanks for the continued support!

K, i know there is a list for all of the new and trim-changed cars, but is there a seperate list on cars that are planned to be updated? Or are they just done when you guys think they needed to? Even if there is a list, are they permanent like the definitive car list?

It’s dope to see more saloons.

The second one, just going through and updating what's needed to make sure things look visually consistent

I mean yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense, especially on the updated original models like the Twingo, that would never be possible to plan from the start

And i know i've asked it before but i don't understand the answer very well so, will you guys update the Interplay's model?

There's no plans to, it's pretty accurate. The Japanese models that are brand new to GT2 are on the whole pretty decent
So you're just doing GT1 carryovers mostly?

I guess? It's just a case of matching them up when making the trim edits and deciding if they need more work. The likes of the Civics and the Festiva Mini Wagon were produced before we was revisiting models so they are being bought up to the level of quality everything else has.

I can definitely tell you the likes of Peugeot, Vauxhall/Opel are pretty awful in general so expect a lot of them to be redone. Trim edits in general are probably going to be fully completed relatively soon so it should be full power to all new cars once those are cleared.

Well, i mean, when i'm personally playing GT2 i don't really see anything wrong in my eyes on them honestly (except for the 306, that is atrocious). But you've definitely seen more of those cars more than i do daily, so you'd definitely know your Opel's better.

Here's an example of the Astra and the Civic Ferio to use but 2 examples, sorry in advance
