SORRY DUDEZ BUT....:( the 778 confirmed cars in GT4 is complete and utter Bo****ks,i downloaded the Japanese version of this game last friday and spent all weekend playing it.i can asure you there is no where near that amount in the game and dont get your hopes up about this being the gift from the sony gods we all thought it would be...COS IT AINT. :irked: .lots of peeps are gonna be pissed when they finally get hold of this game.BASICLEY>>THE GRAPHICS ARE IMPROVED AND LOOK SUPERB(at least on my 32"Sony wega widescreen tv)there are >>SOME<< more cars in it and >>SOME<< more tracks in it,and not a whole lot more..SORRY FOR THIS NEWZ GUYS,whish it could have been want we all wanted to hear...SADLY NOT.:(

You can't be playing the game because it simply aint finished yet!!!

You must be playing GT4 Prologue which is nothing more than a "sampler" of what's to come!
 
How could you download the Japanese version of this game, when it's not even out over there? Unless you are talking about 'Prologue' which is basically just an alpha/beta test/demo game. It's still not even *confirmed* what auto's will be in GT4 so sandman666 your post is incorrect.

However there won't be 778 auto's in this game either. That's pushing the envelope to extremes. There's going to be over 500+ (rumoured) cars for sure when the actual GT4 is released, but 778 is just to time consuming and costly for PD to go ahead with. Also they want to add more incentive for us consumers to buy GT5 if GT4 sells well (it will).
 
Look right, GT2 had around 600 cars, PD are at the stage now where if they can fit 1000 cars on disk, they will get 1000 cars on the disk. GT4 has been delayed for a couple of reasons, one of them was to add more cars. It wouldn't suprise me if GT4 had close to 1000 cars, at the same time it won't dissapoint me if it ONLY has 600.
 
Lol maybe you should take the word HOPE out of that broken link of yours sandman666 so I can see this unlegit news of yours.
 
Cough, complete bull ****, cough. No offence Sandman666 but why even bother making it up that you downloaded GT4, there is only one version of GT4 out now and it's GT4P which is onsale in Japan and China, GT4P is not GT4, it uses the GT4 engine but has only 5 tracks and around 60 cars and no sim and multiplayer modes.

Sandman - I already told you - you've been playing GT4 Prologue.... what part of that don't you understand...... It's a taster of things to come....yes it is a complete game in itself and it is finished, but that is GT4 Prologue that is finished - NOT GT4

Nonetheless, don't dismiss them as just "another site" - they aren't. Apart from Amazon - and probably even including Amazon, but I have no numbers to hand - they are probably the single biggest internet-based suppliers of DVDs and PS2 games to our shores. They're BIG. VERY big. If they have a date, it's latest industry information.

(although 26th March is a little optimistic - perhaps they can't be bothered to pay their webmaster enough to change it yet again? :D )
 
if theyre still working on it is there an email address where we can tell them what cars we want in it? i just got the feb issue of HOTROD magazine and theres a 96 impala SS with 2 turbos that put out 935hp and the car looks stock, the impala is my favorite car and its worthy of being in GT4 cause it IS racable even though its 4000lbs

i hope they bring all the cars that were in GT2 back. Like the spoon integra type r, 95 integra GSR, and the preludes.
