It's hard to be ontopic since there's nothing new to discuss, but I have to say, since SrRd created this thread, almost 40 days have passed in a hurry.

Now we're at 5 weeks from the biggest GT5 apparition ever ( I hope ).

We should have beer week after week to celebrate.

That's a great idea because it would make the time go quicker. But I don't drink. Anymore. 👍

Either way, the day E3 starts I'll be nervous about coming on this forum. I feel like jumping around my room just thinking about the cool stuff we'll see.

I actually don't drink too, well, I'm trying to stop...

Anyway, if you want polished and well organized information, wait for Jordan's update on the news page, but if you want to know things as soon as possible, this thread is all that you want dude. ;) I'll stick with the speculation.

A little trick on quitting drinking, limited by your budget, keep buying progressively more and more expensive beer or whatever beverage you prefer and eventually you won't be able to afford it at all.

I'm thinking about taking this day off. Usually I don't get much work done that day anyway, since I spend all day browsing for new game info. This year promises to be epic, so I may just stay home and enjoy the G4 coverage.

Is this G4 is live coverage? Where?

I do want to play GT4, but my PS3 Slim can't play PS2 game. Anyone can help? Poor Sony delay!

buy my 60gig for 300£ :P that will buy me a new slim+a game ^^

Just buy a PS2 seriously though, here they cost like 90£, and thats with 2 controllers, 2 games, and maybe a guitarhero thingy of some sorts. Just sell the games, and get a used GT4, and you might have spend 50£ all in all, same price as a new PS3 game :)

I believe he is referring to E3, presumably the day when the SONY Press Conference takes place. If not, enlighten us Mr Turbo!

As for anybody wanting to play GT4 again, used PS2s on eBay typically go for £20 - £30 with games. If you can find one with a copy of said game, even better, but it's not like a used copy would be expensive either.

Personally, I'm now staying away from GT games until GT5 launches.

Out of interest, if you don't mind me asking, what are your music projects? I dabble a little bit in eletronic music myself, but I'm no recording artist - just like to listen to something then try and copy it, occasionally coming up with my own riffs!
Just as a quick off topic, my bro convinced me to do a "money album," something which would be halfway popular. So currently I'm trying to do something rather like Vangelis but less Greek. And my brother married a Japanese woman who's classically trained, so I'm luring her with a nice loaner synth to collaborate. The one I had been working on and will get back to is a prog album in a mishmash of styles, but has some of the flavor of Trevor Rabin. The back burner project is a lot like old school Peter Hammill.

I, uhm... might be sick.

But how can I resist? This may be the most surprising and exciting E3 ever. Like, what if Natal looks halfway fun this time! :D And I'm serious, doesn't impress me a bit, other than the tech.

But GT5 has been such a black project that any news is probably going to blow up big. Heck, we don't even know if used cars will be included again, that's how little we know! And they have such advanced technology available that... well, who knows what they won't include? Even the track editor is possible. I have no doubt that this will be the most watched E3 simply because of anticipation over the GT5 unveiling.

I am just praying that PD finally give us some amazing info, screens, movies, and most important, a release date. Enough of this hunting the internet for the most minute GT5 details. Please for the love of god PD (and Sony), don't let us down!

For those asking or wondering. G4 is a television station in the US. This year they are planning on televising 25 hours of LIVE broadcast of E3. The big three press conferences will be televised LIVE.

Punch in G4tv.com for all the info.

That sounds cool. I tend to do some messing around in music myself (usually mash-ups), though due to a lack of a proper music program or proper equipment, its usually me using WMM to make it a High quality movie, then converting it to a High Quality MP3.

Excellent, I was wondering if G4 was gonna have any coverage. Thanks for the heads up:tup:

Crazy to think that this is the last E3 for Gran Turismo 5. :)

And if it isn't, then that's simply pathetic. But let's not think that.

Has GT had 2 or 3 other E3's. How did they go any good?

, Not even PD, Sony, the pope and Chuck Norris has the balls to push the release to a mid 2011. So, this should be the last E3 for GT5, I hope.

But you didn't mention TGS, so it might be the last E3, but maybe not the last big event showcasing GT5. ;)

The fact is, I want to believe in a Summer release coupled with Sony's 3D Tvs, but recent GT5 history demands pessimism.

I sure hope they will release it this summer. If not, I guess it's the, "Oh well..." situation here in GTplanet.

I disagree I think GT5 is Sony's Killer App for 3DTV along with its update for Blu Ray 3D.

Plenty of other games?
GT5 / Superstardust / Wipeout / I believe have been the only playable titles in 3D. Anything else shown was aparently only in video form and as yet not confirmed to be a 3D title. Still yes Id expect a new 3D Motorstorm title to be announced at E3.

Out of all of those GT5 is the one that has been confirmed for actual Blu Ray release and showcased the most and I think anyone would agree is the AAA title that would encourage 3D sales more compared to the others.
The avatar game is 3D capable too, but i wasn`t able to test it on my tv.

In my opinion:

This will be the last E3 showing for GT5
The summer European show will be the last showing of GT5 and to mention what Famine said. ".......not to steal any thunder from the TGS...
After the TGS Gran Turismo 5 will be released. Sorry guys I don't buy the summer release.

Who says I was talking about GT5? I play other games too...

I wasn't ensuing anything but the fact that yes, this could be a huge E3, seeing as it's likely the last one to showcase GT5. Nothing more.

.

well PD, SONY and the pope maybe don't, but I would be careful with Chuck :D

I'm jealous about Chuck, because if one thing is sure it's that he's playing the game right now...

Indeed PD and Soony are pushing it back since years to make sure Chuck enjoy it !
There's no production issue, just a prodchucktion issue !

Yeah, the main server was accidentally hit by a Roundhousekick and they had to start all over again. :O
