Na that was in the Night Trailer.

Now give us a PC version that can run in triple monitors @ 5760x1080 with 16xAA etc :)

I spend a lot on my computers, but I'm 100% sure my HD 5870 couldn't handle that lol.

So do you think we'll see this at every game stop???

I'm in the line since 5 years!

I pre-ordered mine about two years ago.

I'm sure that would be Kaz's nightmare, an inconsistent game.:ouch:

Bad enough spending 70$(game) + 200(wheel) + 300(ps3) + 600(hdtv). A PC capable of what you say is well over 2000$ american.

This is the only reason I'm not 100% against MS monopolizing OS's.

This thread almost reached 50 pages without any news regarding GT5 or E3 and with a GT5 news and general discussion thread alongside it shows how desperate for news we all are.
Hopefully with the Nurburgring news and PD's Le Mans presence hopefully providing even more surprises, and maybe some more in the meantime ( who knows? ) the whole GT5 hype finally gets moving again.
Normally I follow the mantra "don't believe the hype" but this time I will be participating as it seems the wait will be over soo..., ahem, shortly.:)

( Warning; nothing is confirmed yet, the above text contains elements of speculation ).

Guys, it doesn't matter if there's 50 pages of irrelevant posts before E3 even starts, so long as the first post is kept up to date when E3 does start.

I'm sure that when the day comes this thread will be 100 pages long with a ton of info on the first post

Looks like their predictions are coming true... now all you guys have to do is predict that GT5 will be released tomorrow.

I'm glad to see you smile. That's probably the first sincere smile I've seen in a while. Too many sad souls roam these boards; it's highly contagious.

We, fans, definitely need to relax and let ourselves believe that we'll soon see GT5. It's not a crime or a sin! We've waited (patiently) another year, and to say it's been too long is not a crime or a sin, either. And afterall, this is 99.9% the last E3 that GT5 will be apart of. Let's see if the conference caters to that fact.

Oh, I almost forgot:

It also shows the sheer POWER of Gran Turismo 5 and it's dedicated fans

Amen to that! 👍 :)

Even 30 days before E3, this thread is already a success.

What will happen with this thread once E3 opens its doors?

  1. this thread fades away due to the lack of new GT5 news
  2. this thread becomes the most important thread in the Gran Turismo 5 forum?

💡

Well Im 99% sure the second choice will dominate.

Num ber 2!
Num ber 2!

Taking optimistic approach is happier for waiting the E3, while taking pessimistic, critical approach makes us less disappointed at the delay of release then. It's a matter of perspective. Different people have different ways to treat their expectations. You are right - we have right to choose our positions.

💡

I'll provide an option 3: This thread fades away because all the noobs start a new thread for every aspect of the news, and other noobs post in them.

Yep, that's a possibility but we have mods, super or not to close these n00b threads.

Option 4: Jordan creates a new section/sub-forum dedicated to E3 related news to keep it all together and easier to follow what's going on. This thread becomes redundant in that respect and continues to be a general dumping ground.

To me only FIRST comment will be relevant since all the news and features will be posted there!

Am I on track for my 237 pages before E3 comment I made awhile back?

Nope, you seem to be way off, unless you meant E3 2011 ;)

This thread was created at the very end of March, so has been going for 1.5 months now. With 50 pages already, that's approximately 33 pages per month. With only one month left, that puts the page count at roughly 83 pages in total by the time E3 get around.

On the assumnption that as we get closer to E3, hype increases and news becomes more prevalent, activity will increase, so let's say during the last month, activity doubles. That's still only 116 pages.

Unless you start spamming this thread in order to increase post count, I can't see it getting anywhere close to 237 pages before E3.

It depends on what news we get whether or not it will reach that before E3. I bet it will reach 237 sometime during E3 and probably before the Sony conference even starts. I remember right before the TGS conference last year a new page would pop up every 20-30 seconds.

Don't worry, it'll be updated (like I had done last year with TGS). And this time, now that we might have a member going to the show, I am trying to collaborate with him (Sage) so that information enters more rapidly, fluidly and comprehensively.

The most fun part is taking part in finding new cars, tracks, interviews, videos, etc. Once we find them, I'll add it to post one. So, it doesn't matter how many pages there are. 1,000, 67, 89,953; it makes no difference. The latest pages will have the information needed. And it keeps order. Too many noobs (last year) spammed tens of threads about Lamborghini and damage and the Ferrari 458 and the SLS AMG. It eventually got fixed and a Damage Thread was created, but it was crazy.

"Gran Turismo 5 Release Date Imminent at E3"

http://playstationlifestyle.net/2010/05/17/gran-turismo-5-release-date-imminent-at-e3/

Before you break down and cry in happiness, it's mere speculation. But let it be known: This E3 seems quite different than last year's. And by different I mean more promising.

A year ago, it was all about GT PSP, and reporters were asked to not ask KY any questions regarding the big title, Gran Turismo 5. Now Sony is openly flaunting it.

A change of heart, Soony? Or is the game finally complete?

So a qucik question, what do you guys think, if we get an, lets say november release date, did you also think they will delay it again? I´m sure they will delay it again...

I don´t know how it was on GT4 because at that time I was not GT addicted like nowadays... At that time I only heared that GT4 is released and I bought it... But I read a many times here that GT4 was delayed for over 1 year? So what was the final release date and was the game realy released at that announced day?

EDIT: An impression from the PS3 Blog owner, he played the GT5 Demo and says that there was damage activated, the cars get scratches but it was not possible for him to make the cars undriveable.

And here they interviewed kazunori about GT5, the video will be released when?? Soon ;)

Past performance does not guarantee future results, not even when it comes to PD, whatever is said.
Having said this however, nothing is guaranteed as nobody is able to forecast the future or unforeseen events.:)
