An ad from bing saved me from getting rick rolled, and that's sooooo 2 years ago
anyways.........has anyone saved a copy of the car delivery? thats the only video i haven't seen.

You know maybe the people leaking the vids are people from the media that have to review the game and have done so as a favor to the fans since the damn game's been so highly anticipated...

although that would cost them their job >_>

Better than the government theory <_<

its not interresting. i promise you.

personally i was very dissapointed.

its an icon with a truck on it. click it and a little box appears with the cars color and name ect. click that and that same "car driving towards you in darkness with only the headlights on"-effect happens and it says "grats you got a car would you like to use this car now"?

exacly the same as what happens when you buy a car in gt5prologue. (exept theres more boxes to click :P)

Good placement with the Rick Roll, I think you got everyone, lol!

But to be relevant, has any footage showed up about Spa, or is it officially not in the game?

Aww man, doesnt look like the look of this part of the game has changed at all. I was really hoping you could do all this stuff in a realistic looking garage set up. I mean come on, how cool would it be to actually drive your cars from their parking spot in your garage / warehouse over to the maintenance area. I know this aint GTA but being able to control your driver getting in and out of your line up of whips would add a lot of realism. Instead we get rolled out the old floating car in a white background again. I love this game not only for its awesome race simulation but also for it's homage to a car collection and having some new look front end for all that would have been awesome. I still hope the garage represents itself with all your collection together. The cars look so mean when you see them all lined up next to each other, you can really appreciate their individual styling and dimensions better when they play off each other.
This isnt a gripe about how good the rest of this game will be though.

I was hoping this would be used for our garage... but it's probably a photo mode location
Hell GT Auto should be in this location!

When is gran turismo coming out? this year or next. or is it steel out in the open?

so I was working all day today and wasn't able to see all the latest videos. Does someone have them saved and if you do upload them to youtube? Thanks! Everyone knows once something is on the internet there is no way of taking it down. Also, maybe this will hurry sony up in getting the damn game out sometime this year!!!

Consider yourself lucky...most of the videos did show some cool new stuff but, well, all of that was offset by one big mistake.

Click if you dare.

I wonder if they'll be able to "patch" the wheels not being modifiable on standard cars at a later date?

Oh no, the entire game is ruined because you can't change the wheels on 800 cars, just 200 hundred of them. That's it, I'm going to night school and become an Xbox Fanb......... I'm sorry trying to be sarcastic but I can't for the life of me finish that sentence.

This whole obsession with changing/painting rims completely escapes me... it's not really an important feature, is it?

It makes me wonder why this was overlooked. I mean they seemingly made aero parts for most cars in the game(70-80's Corvette comes to mind), so why not be able to change wheels on standard cars. Seems like they forgot about this.

Imagine adding all kinds of aero parts to your car, doing a custom paint job, and then being on the stock wheels still.

The person who made the decision on the standard wheel thing should be punched in the face.
We ask to make the cars more personalized.... so they take away wheels... makes sense.

There must have been some sort of technical complication compounded by a lack of available man-hours (since the word "time" here would get me shot down...).

This might be further evinced by the fact that Standards appear to have the updated tuning options and parts (except perhaps the new aero and race mods).
By the way, don't bet on aero parts, or painting just yet - though I feel the latter will make the cut.

It's not that big of a deterrent to the game. The standard cars will still be totally customizable in the settings area of the game, so if it not handling correctly, just play with spring rates, toe in/out, camber, ride height, etc... We'll all get over the "wheel issue."

yes it is. Most factory wheels look hideous! This plus putting on wings were the only things to make our cars more personalized. Installing wheels on a car totally changes the looks and IS a big deal. They needed to put more wheels and more body styling changes in this game not take them away.

So you have no problems with the fact that a game in development for 6 years has actually taken a step backwards from its predecessor?

Yes, this is a big deal. Yes it matters. This is going to affect the majority of cars in the game. Is it too much to ask for a little personalization with the majority of vehicles? What will set me car apart from the next guy's online? Paint color?

You may not agree but I along with many others am thoroughly disappointed. So yes, I'd say it is an important feature.

EDIT: GT5 says it for itself, check the picture. "[changing the wheels]drastically enhances the look of your vehicle..."

See why being able to personalize the car makes it better?

Step backwards? But GT2 didn't have qualifying, GT3 didn't have Venturi, GT4 didn't have SSR11 and GTPSP didn't have career mode. Get used to it man, you can't have every single feature.

Gaming is being dumbed down universally, despite the technical side of it growing exponentially in complexity! :p

That is true when it comes to single-player modes...fortunately GT5 seems to have a huge simulation mode.

Maybe to you it's not. For me, it goes a long way to making the cars feel like they are YOURS, rather than just some stock car that everyone else in the world has.

In Forza I really enjoyed knowing that my cars were truly unique, that noone else in the world has one that looked like it. And aside from racing, I really got into creating custom designs, being able to sell them along with tunes. You were creating a complete product that people wanted, and could turn around and sell it on the auction house, and then use that money to buy custom community built cars. That level of community sucked me in, and it's never existed in GT.

On fm.net they had the tuning garages, where painters and tuners got together to create elite cars that were VERY expensive. It was like a roleplaying game, or an MMO, but in the racing world. It was fantastic.

It actually bothers to have to go back to racing with boring standard issue cars once again. I just wished after all this time they could take a few tips from turn 10 and make this game even better. Gt fans always make the excuse that it's all about the racing, well Forza has that too, but it ALSO had something else on top of it that added to the replay value and actually made you care about your cars, unlike in GT where they are just all stock, they all look the same.

I'd much rather have personalization with the majority of cars over another feature or track added to the game, considering the amount of online play I'm looking forward to.
