Are you crazy? How is this post aggressive:

"I said FM3 is good, not superior, not vastly superior. I have an XBOX360 and will most likely buy FM3. I'm also hoping to buy a PS3 Slim and GT5, I'm just waiting, well hoping, TGS will give me the reasons I need, key word here, I, to make that decision. That's all my post was about. Hardly nailing GT5 on the cross..."

FM3 is so good does not mean it's vastly superior. Except maybe in the same Twilight Zone in which my above post was aggressive. Some of you guys are just downright scary.:crazy:

I'm not just worried about what I think, just think it would be normal to post my opinion, ensuring I make it clear it's my opinion, without these kind of crazy reactions.:scared:

EDIT: This is my original post that got me called a troll, pedantic, unrealistic, aggressive. It got me ridiculed and pesonally attacked.

"I had a think today, being as realistic as I could be, decided that if the following major advancements are to be in GT5, whenever it will be released, I'll buy it.

Here we go:

-Full damage on all cars
-Rollover on all cars
-All car models of the same quality*
-Tyre marks
-Aero upgrades: front splitters, front canards, rear diffusers and rear wings
-Ability to save multiplayer replays
-Ability to paint any car in any colour I want

*I'd rather all car models either of GT5P quality or just the premium cars to start with, and add the GT5P cars as DLC regularly as they reach premium quality."

How crazy is that?

Aggression takes many forms Cobra, and I'm not the only one interpreting your posts accordingly.

Anyway, it's petty. I know what you mean, you know what I mean, so let's just move on and wait together for the news we are all waiting for.
 
I very much doubt we will have rollable cars. As much as i'd like it, i can't see it. Especially not like in Dirt. TBH i can't even see extreme damage being likely. I'm being pessimistic though so anything will make me happy.

RE the tyre marks not appearing in the Ferrari video, maybe that's because, as has been pointed out, that video is not in-game. It's rendered (from what i understand). Maybe in the game environment we will get tyre marks from burnouts.

If its rendered, they couldnt render the tire marks to?
 
It's all "rendered". The difference is, real-time rendering, or replay-stylee with post-processing effects. Either way, skiddies could have been done.

No sign what so ever that skid marks will be in game.
Wouldn't count on it, it seems very unlikely.

Otherwise i still buy, i'm pretty sure GT5 will be GT4 with superb HD graphics, online and damage.

Why i say this? because if you watch the GTPSP videos there still have the same race cars of GT4, i mind, not the 2008 versions of these race cars, and whats the conection with GT5, Kaz says the cars are transferable.

FM2 has reverse lights, but they are meaningless. It's usually after about one lap that the AI has taken out my reverse lights rendering them inoperable. :(
 
The majority thinks the whining about skid marks and reverse lights is ridiculous, but they are realistic details, and although they're far from the highest priority I still think they should be in. I can't come up with one single game except GT, that does not have skid parks. I mean, how hard can it be!?
 
I personally couldn't care less about reverse lights.

However, I think you could gain a lot of feedback from skid marks and it would improve the game.

No because I haven’t got unrealistic pre-defined requirements and even if I did I wouldn’t say I'm not going to buy it because it’s not precisely what I've dreamed up.

You can buy it and enjoy GT5 for what it means to you and what you want out of it. Why can't I have my own preference, opinon and choice? Why can't I have my hopes and my standards? How about freedom of speech without persecution? Come on, use your head, what so wrong and threatening with my post?

You can have your own choice, like I said it's your loss. Did I say you were threatening or wrong? You stated your going to be "as realistic as you can be" then preceded with a list of features which if just one of them isn't included your not going to buy the game, if that isn't pedantic then I don't know what is. If you think you can say something like that and not get responses your in the wrong place mate.

Always when I posted something against the game I got attacked.
Alot of people here just can't accept some facts and true things that Gran Turismo isn't doing everything right , no game is perfect but it's just crazy everything gets praised and even like you said if there would be no Cockpit view people would find a way to praise that..
I like this Forum but when you say something agaist GT you aren't welcome...

or people call you Troll or Forza Fanboy 👎:indiff:

I have to agree, I'm not a poster but a long time reader of the forums and like most of you on here I'm really looking forward to finally getting my hands on GT5 (whenever it is finally released). The problem is that every release is plagued with these great expectations and wish lists of what people want to see and with GT5 and the power of the PS3 they're just expecting too much. Not from a next-gen racing game but from Polyphony Digital. They continue to recycle the same game with better graphics and people (including me) still manage to find the reasons to fork out £40 and buy the game.

If you look at the GT series, how much has it really changed since the original? Graphics are better, sounds better, there's more tracks and GT5p had a bodged online mode.

Stop getting your hopes up and you won't be disappointed when it arrives, I'll be buying it on day one and i'll probably be at my local store for the midnight opening. I'm expecting GT4 with better graphics, WRC, Nascar and some mild form of damage and I'll love it, just don't expect any more as PD are known for disappointing.

(and you know it, before you flame me to pieces)

Careful, he's a bit touchy at the moment, firing off abusive PMs to people who, like you and I, have clearly got it all wrong ;) I totally agree with you - it's wholly unrealistic/nonsensical to dream up a wishlist like that, and then refuse to buy the game if any one of them is not included. Still, it's his choice, and I really couldn't care less what he does, just so we are all clear on that!

Not true at all, and as far as insecuritys go, i dont find that to be true at all..

theres alot of expectations but as far as the game goes people will buy it even if its GT5:P with a career mode and more cars.

as for getting shot down thats also not true, what is true is that people who came here to plug forza or to bait people into replies with extreme posts, yes they got 'shot down' people who fairly and equally critiscised were fine and there posts were actually appriciated, like alot of people bemoaned the sound and somone linked to PGR4 video with great sound, did he get shot down ? Nope

Tomorrow is going to be the best day of the year, well until GT5 comes out,

The new trailer looks awesome, some other good games at TGS that look like they will be very good.

But this suspense is killing me, I'm off down the pub!!!!!

Post of the month for me. I 100% agree. GT, when you strip it down, has hardly changed at all. The graphics have definitely improved, no question, but some areas of the sound are still not up to standard. At the end of the day, you still collect cars and drive them around tracks. Not a whole lot more you can do to the formula to be honest.

Like you, I'll be happy with something like GT5P with more cars and tracks. Anything else is the icing on the cake.

Fair point, but I'd wager that the skill of a player will have more "impact" on the feel of their game compared to how good the physics really are.
