Spec 4 hey? I guess PD aren't done with this game yet, which is quite incredible because GT5 and GT6 had a shorter shelf life...
PD could add many more options & features [than we might also do in custom races] which we want in the single player campaign{s}. Like AI Sophy in all races, choosing between AI Sophy 3.0 & 2.1. Custom championships, which could make me think that we don't need [PD to construct us] a career mode like GT3&4&5 because we can customize the championships to be similar. Though, if we got Spec IV with many races, tracks, cars, & tracks from GT3&4 then the sandbox mode would be done with..!!Thats just it pd wont add much in spec 4. Other than new cars and tracks, Things like sophy integreted career mode, new customize options, new tuning options, sound updates, will most likely require a new game, and will be a lot more refreshing than another spec update.
Its just not hit the same if their is no goal, custom championchips is not the same as have a proper career mode with progression, and as much i enjoy gt7 the career mode sucks and its not going to change, thats what a new game could really change. I am not against spec 4, but its not going to be as big as new game.PD could add many more options & features [than we might also do in custom races] which we want in the single player campaign{s}. Survey option doesn't include Online racing outside of sport mode lol do these people know their own game
Just give the ps5 users bigger lobby sizes (at LEAST 24 players if not 32) to tide us over to the next game I'm sick of the online experience being hobbled by catering to people playing on 13 year old (!!!) consoles
You are entitled to your opinionSurvey eas focused on single player mode, the TRUE franchise soul
Then how do you quantify "class" when it comes to road cars, which are almost never built to complete directly against one another? GT Sport tried limiting them by power but everyone could see how much of a disaster that system ended up being.2) drop the PP framework and restrict cars in same class
(2) is to make future GT a more realistic racing/driving experience, because you should never detune a higher class car into fitting a certain PP. This problem is further worsened by the fact that you often start at last... meaning you MUST use a Gr.2 or GT3 car in order to have a shot at winning / getting a podium with a group of GT3 or GT4 cars.
Trust, I understand it seems PD do things illogically. All of those don’t need a Spec 4. They can be done per update. Just as an example of what didn’t require a new game: SOPHY 2.0 doesn’t race in the rain, but SOPHY 2.1 does. I mean, it’s amazing to even have access to GT SOPHY when many thought we wouldn’t see it in this game.Thats just it pd wont add much in spec 4. Latest news with possibilities without confirmation. It’s fun to speculate.™️Is it me or has everyone gone into a dizzy over the mere mention of Spec IV?
Now we can't even start new campaign unless we register a new email address & new PSN account! PD have all the possibility to make us more options AAAANNNDD add new career mode regardless of a new game or Spec IV. The single player campaign which is the menu book is much worse & boring than the GT3-4-5-6-GTS type of career mode! There are many other events in GT7 though, but that does not feel much fun compared to earlier career modes. So a new game does not necessarily mean a proper single player campaign! Its just not hit the same if their is no goal, custom championchips is not the same as have a proper career mode with progression, and as much i enjoy gt7 the career mode sucks and its not going to change, thats what a new game could really change. Look at spec lll it did not do much other than the cars and tracks, but nothing groundbreaking.
It just dosent refresh things enough like new game could do, not saying next gt should release now but i rather see trailer on that soon over spec lv.
The career sucks in gt7 so there is no point restarting it, they wont change career mode in gt7 if they wanted to they would have,Now we can't even start new campaign unless we register a new email address & new PSN account! I would love to 're-play' the menu book with starts from standstill & never start more than 5 seconds behind the leader, with Sophy AI 3.0/2.1.
But all rules/options must be either optional or unlockable!

And don't say "ignore them and focus exclusively on the race cars" because I will just laugh at you.

Custom races or custom championchips is not the same as career mode with progression,
Look at past updates there has not really been much added in terms of features, and content has mainly only been cars and at times tracks, the events they add with each update is nothing special its just those boring chase the rabbit format.
Even spec 3 did not do much, last refreshing update was spec ll.
For many things i want to see requires a new game, because pd wont add that to gt7, things i have in mind is a different career mode not with chase the rabbit format. Maybe new tuning and customize options, maybe an upgraded engine when its no longer hold back by ps4. Gt7 has been out 4 years, and i have not seen any or very little of this even been added to gt7, it will require a new game before we see many of those features, sure its not guranteed, but i dont think gt7 has much more to bring to the table.
I have been one of the biggest defenders of gt7 since it released. But they have not really done much with single player or even barely improved it since launch,
Gt7 does a lot stuff very well, but the single player still remains as very poor, which is shame given everything else is solid. They took an intresting step with power pack, and i hope thats more the direction they take going forward.
Just improve up on it, so you can use your own cars etc,
If pd is serious about extend gt7 life i think it needs another expansion something like gt league with new races and championchips, that would bring new life into the game, but it would not feel the same so long after launch,
You are proaply right and i dont expect much going forward. I am at point where i am more looking forward to next chapter,They won't add a free expansion when they have the 20$ Power Pack, and if they do, it would be very small in content.
Indeed, and as of this post, the last drag race mission still seems to imply there are more like it to come. The last set of missions added in was "The Human Comedy", a fitting name, added in Version 1.13 on April 25, 2022. It's about to be four years since any new missions were added. They add a lot of variety to the game, with lots of potential for making some fun, out-of-the-norm challenges besides rabbit-chasing.
Until GT8 is out, we never know 😅Indeed, and as of this post, the last drag race mission still seems to imply there are more like it to come.
Yeah.I have nothing against that “car encyclopedia” vibe Gran Turismo is known for. In fact that’s actually what makes this game stand out and feel so different from the rest.
My actual point is that this motto should not be an excuse to add whatever they find for whatever reason. What I mean by this is really simple: the recently added Captur has the personality of a door knob, and no, it’s not because it’s a slow road car.
It’s just the kind of car I like to define as “cars for people who see cars as 4 wheeled things that get you from point A to B”. What’s the point of including such stuff in an enthusiast world like GT?
Let’s take a first gen Twingo, for example: an even “crappier” car than the Captur on paper, but guess what, the Twingo has a lot of personality and charisma, so it would actually make perfect sense to be featured in the game.
For me, it’s not about a car’s performance itself. Being a slow city car was NEVER part of the problem. The car encyclopedia videogame should indeed feature all kinds of cars… but as long as they have the bare minimum of personality, as long as they belong in a world of people who love cars.

You have an amazing event editor with sophy. What better then this?Less cars, more events.
Problem with modern GT games compared to the originals is they throw too many cars at you for nothing and there aren't enough events to cover them all. The days of having to grind and build up a car are long gone. In GT7 after the first handful of events & the menu system you will have a decent amount of cars that allow you to tackle a significant chunk of the events, during which you will have more free cars thrown at you to complete the rest. It's become an online racing, car collection series. Whilst GT7 was a nice return to a familiar single player career mode it was still a far cry from GT1-4.
