I enjoyed the Power Pack and I would buy another but what I want even more is improved custom races.
  • No rubber banding when using Sophy, not having to use workarounds like Boost Weak
  • Related to the above, a sliding difficulty adjust like in other games
  • Sophy being able to use the non-default tyre and better strategy
  • Custom race weekends (allow us to create our own power pack like experiences)
  • If the above is implemented (but also for the Power Pack), make Sophy understand the concept of outlal/inlap and not impede cars on their hotlaps
  • Apply multiple parts/livery presets to a single car, mainly used to fill a custom grid without having to spend a billion credits buying multiple cars/parts, some of which aren't even available because they may be in Legends etc ..
  • Show deltas in VR
I have other wants too, but the majority of them are around custom races.

We all know Gran Turismo’s car history and even in older games we kept seeing the same cars come back from previous titles. But honestly there’s always been this feeling that we want more of the cars we actually see out on the streets and racetracks today.

Less encyclopedia vibes, more cars that are actually relevant right now. Like a few classics are cool—but not 100 different Civic versions. Give us more BMW M models from the G series (like the M2 G87), icons like the E60 M5 that we petrolheads love, more Audi RS models, AMGs, and just more modern race cars overall.
Make it feel like 2026, not the past.
Cheers

In VR I'm missing the Gap and a button that activates and deactivates all the information for better immersion.
Exactly this. We need the options to customise the HUD, add the leaderboard and gaps, and most of all - a mappable shortcut button to enable/disable all info, we have many unused buttons on our steering wheels already. It would be amazing immersion wise to go all out (without any HUD) and on the back straight for example just click it for 1-2 seconds to check the gaps, tires, fuel etc. and off we go.

I thought I would assemble a update, based on what we got in Spec III:

# New Cars

  • 2023 Ford Mustang GT3 - GR.3 car
  • 2025 Lamborghini Revuelto - Super Car
  • 2025 Renault 5 E-Tech - Everyday Car (We could also have the Alpine A290?)
  • I'm not sure what open wheel car might be made, something like the Formula Gran Turismo we had in GT4?
  • Spoon S2000 - Pre-tuned car
  • 1991 Opel Omega Lotus - Retro car
  • 2025 BMW M3 - Sports Sedan
  • 1998 Plymouth Prowler - Oddball car

# New Tracks

  • Circuito de la Sierra (GT6) - I'm pretty disapointed in how short the rally tracks are, so I picked this as the first
  • Silverstone - We got the Canadian Grand Prix track last time, so I thought "What about the British Grand Prix?" - Especially since it's considered a staple of the calendar.

# Misc

  • Collector level cap raised to 100
  • Option to enable Sophy where possible

I would love to get this survey! I'm kinda miffed b/c I'm still on a PS4 and haven't been able to afford a PS5, that I couldn't even get the dlc! Imo, if you have a multi gen console game, you should make the upgrades available to all consoles, older console players, like myself paid for the game too! At least give us a part of it, so that maybe it might push us to want to console upgrade!

Yeah, they could've done a Power Pack for PS4 without Sophy. The base game AI with the right setup is fairly decent, and if they wanted to go the extra mile, they could've done custom AI pathing for each track/scenario like how I think they've done it for Clubman Cup+ events.

But probably they kept it to PS5 so you'd feel more inclined to buy a PS5 or get the game on PS5 if you wanted the DLC.

GT would benefit from a more exciting single player experience than just pick one race after another.

I realise there is a high risk of this being cringy, I.e. here’s the story of how I became a racer, but I think something g like that is missing. Maybe even extra cut scenes at certain milestones or adding sponsorship elements into the game would help. The game has so much flair in some aspects but missing in others.
I hope PD think about this. Modern gaming has moved on in all genres. But GT single player is quite similar to how it always was and feels stale.

Regular AI would be more competitive than Sophy 3.0 is anyway, they've absolutely wrecked its performance compared to 2.1.
You think? I think 3.0 is still faster than regular AI, I had an AI car up my backside for most of the 1000 BHP Tokyo Power Pack race. Was driving the Porsche for reference. I felt I was driving well, and it was only some tyre management that helped me break away a bit later in the race.

And said tyre management was basically just not ragging it round corners as much, taking smoother lines, and more careful power application. I didn't feel like I was losing a ton of time from it.

All that to say, I think I would've broken away from regular AI. Unless you mean the chilli pepper AI/Clubman Cup+ AI. However I think you're right that it's slower than 2.1. 2.1 smokes me often in custom races when I drive against it lol.

I think even just GT3/4/5/Sport style event posters to add more "feel" would give part of a more "enticing" feel on the immersion side.

But if they want to keep the story itself freeform/up to the player, then some stuff like using the Gran Turismo Association sanctioning body stuff again and sort of couching all the events (or at least the ones that are intended to be non-grassroots races like the Sunday Cup) as being part of the "GT motor racing world".

Kind of like how NFS ProStreet does it in a sense. All part of a sanctioned organisation. Albeit the story there is more upfront than what GT has ever done, and a different tone also.

Seems like now is a good time to remind people that, if they actually want new content/features rather than making noise into the void, we have a Car and Track Wishlist thread:

And the Suggestions forum which Polyphony Digital originally asked us to set up:

Wow, that one you set up for PD has pages upon pages upon pages of suggestions, I guess I’ll just revert back to throwing it out there into space 😁

Would anyone like to have the ability to do the single player portion online? Against real
Players and at your current driver ratings - sure I can see a few issues with that but how long would that take the platinum to gain. 😁

I think I’d be cool to race anything from Sunday Cup to world championship against real players.

Spec 4 would be great to see. Personally, I feel it’s time they left the PS4 version behind and focus solely on the PS5 version.
Judging by the reactions to the price increase recently announced Sony has got some serious work to do if PlayStation is to stick around.

I’ll be honest I genuinely want way more time trials for gold silver and bronze. Two is not enough. Even if I can’t get gold I still enjoy them and I want to have 5 or more. 😅
Also Id love a Spec 4 with more tracks and variety of modern road and race cars. Genuinely want to be surprised like stuff I didn’t think would come. That gets me excited. I still enjoying this game is my go to title every day after I finish BF6 rounds.

Well, it is getting on for 12 years old now.

Voting for the Suggestions therein to raise them up when sorted in that manner, or making relevant comments on the threads to bring them back to the top on standard sorting, helps them garner the attention needed.

Which is, of course, how that is intended to function. There already was good evidence that PD takes Suggestions forums ranking (again, the forum they asked us to create) into consideration when creating longlists before Yamauchi confirmed (in a round-table interview in Berlin) that they use forums as a source when considering what cars they want to include.

We need this also for bo pavr2 users. Just give us a button to activate or desactivate the hud elements. Why so hard. Like in every lther sony third or dirst person games…

It is really good to be able to buy any car at any time instead of having to wait on a rotation.
Although yes, that should be caveated heavily with the fact that's a very recent change for FH5.

Up until the end of March, about 20% of the final car list (it's varied across the game's life; all of the new Playlist-exclusive cars have added to the number unavailable to buy) has been unavailable to buy at any time.

It's only now, almost four and a half years in, and with a year and a bit of relatively passive support and a new game very much rushing up, that every one of those previously unavailable cars is now in Backstage.

I would rather see a new game over spec 4.
I agree, but there's still no concrete information as to when we can expect the PS6 or if PD wants to release a GT on the PS5 exclusively.

I'm a relatively newcomer to GT7 that joined about a month before Spec III. I would welcome a Spec IV (new tracks, new cars, new events) but not a Power Pack II. I bought the first PP out of FOMO, but I have just played it sparsely... and I do not look forward to doing 24 h races (or anything longer than 1 hr, thank you).

Yeah at least in my experience everything challenging is just because the AI you race in the Power Pack has a ton more power than you do. It's got absolutely no race craft and it takes horrible racing lines. I genuinely think it's a Sophy agent that hasn't fully 'learnt' the combo which is why they're slower and a bit clueless.

That wouldn't be enough to be labelled as a Spec IV.

What the game needs most is QOL improvements, and they should never be held back to inflate rare "Spec X" updates, but released ASAP.
Quite frankly, I realize that I don't see what I could answer to the last question of this survey. My answer would be more like what the skeleton of GT8 should be or what GT7 should have been from the start.

It probably would need something more, but it wouldn't need to be significant. Spec II didn't introduce much more than just new cars and tracks. It introduced Sophy 2.0 and the Master License, but Sophy itself was already in the game so not a new feature and so were the licenses (the latter ones still being useless). Other than expanding those two things slightly, some UI tweaks, 7 new cars and 1 new track made up Spec II. I think similar could make up a Spec IV update.

I have the same issue with what I would request, it would be too much of an overhaul for GT7 and be more what I would hope GT8 would release as.

I'd like the ability to setup a multiplayer game with a friend and fill the room with Sophy agents.

Also, I'd like to see Spec 4 take the simulation aspect of the game even further.

  1. tire management
    1. getting the tires to the optimal temp for qualifying
    2. the ability to cool wet weather tires by driving off the racing line to extend their lifespan
    3. tire temps impacting performance

I couldn’t definitely answer all those questions.

Q6:
I’d like to see more themed races. In Missions we have the Roadster Cup. Add that. Add more drag racing with brackets from various drivetrains to an all in run what you brung. Classic Spa 24H with ability to choose classes: CSL class, SEL class, Gordini class, Mini class, for example.
I want to see SOPHY use the full width of the circuit instead of painting in between the lines.

I don’t want to see cars being nerfed to decide difficulty and payout. We know PD have competitive AI in Clubman and SOPHY races. They got SOPHY to qualify and race in the rain. Just let SOPHY do its thing.

Hello everyone,

I’ve now clocked up over 2,370 hours in the game and I still love GT 7. I’d love to see a Spec 4, with new championships or even the option to reset the races that have already been completed so you can win the trophies again, or play every race in the career mode with both regular AI and Sophy AI. The maximum credit limit also needs to be significantly increased. I’ve now got nearly 100 million credits and it’s losing its appeal because you don’t get anything more after that.

But to be honest, I don’t expect Spec 4 before summer, if at all. There’s no pressure on PD, as there’s no competition or upcoming games that could poach players; PMR and Rennsport haven’t exactly gone down well. And as far as I know, there’s nothing comparable in the pipeline either. I’d also love to see a DLC; there are so many possibilities, like a Goodwood Time Trial or something similar. I don’t necessarily need a 24-hour race without the option to save properly in between.
