Huh. It's funny because I actually took a bit inspiration from FH2. Completely forgot about Forza 5.
Also, the idea for that font actually came from another game - GRID Autosport.
 
Here is an updated version of my event selection screen, I've tried to make it more clean and organized than the previous one, switch between events using L1/R1 and move the cursor to select an action, the actions are the following: Course Selection, Watch Race, Event Description and Add event to favorites. the list of events is a bit random so don't pay much attention to the descriptions:

and here are some alternate designs, there are a lot more of them, but I didn't saved them all and if I upload everything I have it would take a lot of time, but all of them are pretty much the same, just some minor differences, most of them are unfinished so there are lots of mistakes:

Hasn't really happened recently. I feel as though @ZedMan1996 is talking about the people who put little to no effort into their work.

this was my original song choice for this particular "event," but is a band from here (Argentina) so I tought it might not be of everyone's taste, but I think it's a perfect fit since I can really picture myself running trough a highway at night while this song plays in my head :D

 
These are so cool! You guys are all amazing designers. I'm new here but my favs so far are HACHIR0KU's, jake2013guy's Scuderia Paul's and glassjaw's. Totally awesome work!

I actually kind'a miss the world map layouts with the manufacturers in different regions and with one-make events found in the manufacturer menus.

Some cool stuff in here that you guys make, though.
 
Nice to know this thread has been on for a year now :) I hope PD's kept notice on everyone's work and ideas.

Your layout could use a little bit more work with the image quality and stretching, but it's certainly not the worst!
 
Yeah that's what I thought, It's a little crowded.
 
Hi guys, i wanted to post something as well. As such, here is my relatively clean design:

I have also added some new features: firstly the idea of an online ranking system which can be easier for lobbies and for matchmaking if it is a random online race; as well as the photography ranking mode where you send photos which get upvoted or downvoted and this gains xp which can be used for certain cars etc.
 
Never tried anything like this and my experience with PSD is VERY limited but here's my first attempt.
