Call me selfish, but I don't want GT7 rushed.
I wan't it to be a proper racing simulator, not the "overtake as many cars starting from the back via a rolling start as possible within the number of laps we've given you" game that was GT5, and even likely to be the same in GT6.
I wan't them to take their time and think very carefully about every decision they make, not just adding things no one wants (XP system, hundreds of the same cars, a minute amount of premium cars etc.).
They should almost start from scratch, only keeping the already premium cars and tracks and then build the game around these things, adding only what improves the game, not what hinders it. Then I will be satisfied because I see very little in GT at the moment to make me want to buy another one.

If it was GT7: Prologue, then I could handle that, if it's for the PS4. It would basically be a barebones GT in proper HD and whatnot, but PD would still have a year or two to work on the full GT7, making a 2015 or 2016 release more logical. But to say a full GT7 might possibly be out next year, for PS4? Sounds rushed.

I demand gran turismo 6 type 2.0 on ps3 in March.

Then a gran turismo 6 HD on the ps4 in June.

Then a gran turismo 7 prologue in September.

Then a gran turismo 7 A-spec in December.

You can NEVER have enough gran turismo!

I'm not sure if you meant to quote me or misunderstood my post, but

To early for this drama.

It may take a year to see how good or bad GT6 is and already concerned about an incomplete GT7?

XP system already removed...or basically won't be returning in GT6.

I've been saying 2015 all along but I can see 2014 happening if GT6 is a sales bust. 2 years is a long time to wait to launch the PS's most dominant racing/driving sim in this day and age. Wait two years nowadays and you can be forgotten by the newest, latest thing. Look at Blackberry...

When GT6 is out all this conversations will end...at least for some months. ^^

I'll buy a PS4 when GT7 is out (bought PS1 for GT, PS2 for GT3 and PS3 for GT5 prologue). :D

GT8 due out in 2017. Honestly news about GT7 already means that GT6 will have a ridiculously short shelf life.

Something tells me it'll take days if not hours.
Getting rid of XP and replacing it with stars doesn't mean XP is fully gone. You still need experience to progress. It's more or less along the same lines as PD saying standards are no longer in the game, simply because they removed the word STANDARD from the game code.

I think it is possible for GT7 to come out next year, however there is going to be a catch. As with Forza 5, content included in the vanilla version of the game will be reduced and DLC releases will be stepped up a gear after launch. That's how I see things going with PD's micro-transactions schemes. :nervous:

GT7 isn't a direct replacement for GT6, the latter game will still be on sale and receive updates for those not wanting to upgrade to the PS4 just yet.

I don't think so. Maybe in 2015-2016.

If I recall correctly, he said that GT5 took so long because of how complex the PS3 is?

He said that working on the PS4 is a lot easier, so generally the game would come a lot quicker. And clearly PD has been working on GT7 before the PS4s launch. So if GT7 would launch next year in December, it would almost be two years for them to make the game.

I could be totally wrong, but that's how I am looking at it.

Probably going to do a GT5 situation. Announce a next year release date, 2 weeks before launch it gets delayed for a few months, then within a few days it gets delayed even further, then they will say around the holidays of 2015 or 2016.

Interesting, though. They don't want to work forever on GT7. So, PD heard our complaints about the time between GT4 and GT5, and are trying to shorten the time period between games. That said, I do suspect GT7 was probably intended to be PS4 version of GT6, but PD couldn't just leave it alone. That said, his comments about it being easier and that the quality is being boosted is interesting. Perhaps no more Standard cars. Then again, T10 took 2 years to build less than 200 cars for Forza 5 (about 90% of which are from Forza 4, which they said they were trying to get rid of old car models, which I don't think there's any FM1, 2 or 3 models besides the Ram SRT10 and a couple others, but still...) But, really, taking out all those cars and then releasing them as premiums...I wouldn't be opposed to that.

I figure Kaz would want to support GT6 with updates and such through at least 1 year. That would leave us pretty close to 2015. Releasing GT7 as early as 2014 would make GT6 the shortest lived GT in history as well as sales.

They need to think this through. Personally, I can enjoy GT6 just fine in the next two years. I really don't mind the wait. Please PD, just release GT7 on PS4 and take your time. I don't want only like 14 locations.

Okay. 👍 Now PM me about dem features.

:D
We will have a livery editor that surpasses Forza's in every way, we can draw all the obligatory 🤬 we want on it. We will also be able to modify cars so extensively we can put a W16 in an old Beetle and give it a massive lift kit so we can go drive around the Walmart parking lot.

We will be able to go into space in a Red Bull X2015 with real gravity and star simulations, with all the planets painstakingly placed where they belong. We will also have a completely recreated planet earth, with all it's roads and tracks.

We will have ALL the cars, all premium, so premium you can see pizza stains (And other stains :sly:) inside used cars, and you can smell the cars, yes, YOU CAN SMELL THE CAR YOU'RE DRIVING. And with the new G30 wheel and stand you can feel the leather your A-spec Andy is sitting on.

Porsche confirmed with over 50 cars for GT7 fully modeled.

Kaz himself will give us a virtual pat on the back every time we boot up the game.

The sounds will be so good you can hear the fluids inside the car if you listen close enough and hear the people in the grandstands fart.

A.I so good they drive comparably to the local Aliens we have on GTP.

We will have a CTS-V WAGON and a Turbo Diesel V-Tec Miata Coupe Wagon GTR Stingray TDI Quattro with a manual trans.

Kaz managed to get the F1 license by kidnapping Bernie and holding him for ransom, now we have the full 2014 and 2015 grid with all the tracks.

Kaz and co managed to kidnap Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, while also obtaining blueprints so they can make their own Stig and Top Gear track.

Premium Rufs confirmed.

We also get a teaser trailer for Half-Life 3 and The Last Guardian after we finish the game 100%

And that's just the beginning.

It may be possible for a 2014 release date. In terms of content it will probably be more like a GT6 XL than an entirely new product (the nomenclature change is probably more related to the platform switch, rather than content, per se). The nice thing is that the PS4 chassis does have the power to improve existing features of the game (like car counts in races, perhaps clean up some graphics modelling, and so on).

The major coding work comes with retooling the GT software to work with the new PS4 OS, and seeing as how PD has already been working on the swap for months, I'm guessing they're ahead of the game a bit.

2014 might be a bit optimistic, but it's certainly not impossible.

WHOA! Now THAT'S what you call finding out information early from the future. I wonder waht else you have in store for us. :) lol.

I wouldn't say impossible, but what I'm worried about is how "fresh" it'll be and the content it will hold day one if it releases that early. I don't want to boot up GT7 only to have it "feel" like GT6 and have to go through it for another two years or so. New content may make up for it, but personally, every GT always had a different feel and it's something I appreciate.

If he's learned anything over the years its that people are listening to everything you say. If the man says that its a possibility I wouldn't be surprised if this time next year we are hearing rumors resurfacing.
