as for Sophy I did up a quick 2lap custom race at my favourite track (Le Mans) with boost weak and the basics of starting in 20, same group cars, and beginner rated and I got my P6 at the end.
Sophy is not kidding around, I am going to have to work on this...

Apparently, Sophy with Boost set to Weak doesn't meaningfully respond to difficulty changes. Beginner, Intermediate, and Professional all result in roughly the same pace from the AI.

So yeah, don't feel too bad if you can't beat Sophy on Boost Weak, even on Beginner.

Custom Races are a heap of broken functionalities. It's just that the way Boost Weak is broken is very beneficial to the few of us who are at the skill level where we find it a good challenge. Sad, but it is what it is.
