This is why in my 1 hour races I went back to 1x fuel consumption. Because they were doing weird things like pitting with 5 laps to go for the first time, and then pitting again with 1 or 2 laps to go for more fuel.Second, the AI is bad at calculating fuel needed for the last stint so it often pits for a last lap, even sometimes for a fictional lap as the checkered flag is already being waved.
For me it ended up x1 fuel consumption was far more difficult to balance than x2. I run really long races most of the time so that matters a lot in my situation. This is why in my 1 hour races I went back to 1x fuel consumption. Try what I did. Get rid of your rabbit and replace it with a car that's about 5-10 pp better than the rest. Add 2-3 of those cars. It seems to make everyone faster. I'm not sure why yet. I think it's something in the race code that pushes the AI to maintain a smaller gap, unless the lead car takes off, at which point they break off the chase.Did two, 10 lap test races tonight at Road Atlanta with the GT4 series. For both, I started in P11. Before the races I decreased the AI downforce to 150/230.
First race, I went nowhere. Actually got passed by a Supra on lap 7, then an NSX took me out of lap 8 trying to pass me in T1. I was very slow down the long straight. Super tense race trying to hold position. Starting grid interval was 30 meters.
Race 2, adjusted my ECU +2 clicks and decreased the start interval to 25 meters. Had some good battles and made up 5 spots. Some of the cars in front of me in race 1 that were holding their own, went backwards in race 2. 🤔
Going to -1 my ECU for the next race and increase the AI downforce a bit since some of them appeared to be struggling.
Can we change car settings with BoP on? I know we shouldn't suppose to be able to change, but sometimes there are ways 😅Try what I did. I'm getting GREAT results.
The PP spread in the field is like 617-628. Plenty of cars that could be up front if they want to be.Try what I did. I wish they let us buy all the tuned cars. I never thought the Civics could be so much fun to drive.A quick question after a thought I had playing some Nordscheife races from the Power Pack earlier today...
Have any of you Custom Race creators had a pop at recreating the Power Pack races, maybe by attempting to decrypt the individual specs for the cars from the info that we can see?
doubt it - for now, at least. seems like tuning sheet is hidden so one would have to spend a lot of time trial/error tuning to create the same feel/performance as experienced in the powerpack. Color me interested to learn about this if someone is willing to invest the effort!A quick question after a thought I had playing some Nordscheife races from the Power Pack earlier today...

Update: Made some changes and ran another 10 lapper. Increased the power on the BMW's and the McLarens, then put the downforce on all of the cars to the middle mark. (175/275 I think) Started P11 again and finished.....P9. Only 2 spots gained in 10 laps. I can still see that I am a bit faster than the AI cars in the corners and still a little slow down the straights, so going to do a small downforce reduction on my car and give it another go...The PP spread in the field is like 617-628. What is your PP? Just try it. Make the first two cars 635pp. It's easy enough to go backThe PP spread in the field is like 617-628. Plenty of cars that could be up front if they want to be.
Top 2 cars in my race last night were 626 and 622. Im at 618. I am 99% satisfied with where I have it now. What is your PP? Just try it. Make the first two cars 635pp. It's easy enough to go back
If someone have old screen shots of the Daily Races or World Tours with the Route X road cars, that’s a start to at least get power/weight specs.doubt it - for now, at least. seems like tuning sheet is hidden so one would have to spend a lot of time trial/error tuning to create the same feel/performance as experienced in the powerpack. If I were to do it, I wouldn't be looking for exact specs. Near enough would do, just using the cars in question order to establish an interesting tuning grid.doubt it - for now, at least. seems like tuning sheet is hidden so one would have to spend a lot of time trial/error tuning to create the same feel/performance as experienced in the powerpack. sounds clever (and correct)! though not sure I appreciate what you mean by “Route X road cars” and how old versions of those relate to the Powerpack tunes. If someone have old screen shots of the Daily Races or World Tours with the Route X road cars, that’s a start to at least get power/weight specs.
Monza is a slow track for Sophy. They slow down way too much before t1 and especially before the chicanes.I did a 90 minute race at Monza yesterday with my WEC grid (2 Gr1 Toyota, 18 Gr3, BoP on, Sophy on Professional, Weak Boost, Real Slipstream).
Key takeaways:
1. All AI cars maintained their pace during the entire race.
2. There were some pairings and the end results are mostly related to fuel consumption. The chevies are always last even if the start mid pack.
3. I need to check the replay in more detail, but one of the Mustangs and one of the Aston Martin pitted way early than their sister cars. This is odd. The Aston was leading the Gr3 class so maybe it used more fuel. I also need to check if they double stint the tyres or if they always changed them.
4. I started p7, was p9 at some point, but managed to climb to p4 before the first pitstops and saved fuel in the 2nd and 3rd stints (even used map2) and was able to keep the same pace as AI finishing p1 for the class. The Aston Marting did overtake me in the final laps because I was saving fuel, but had to pit again.
5. My best lap was mid 52, and the best AI did high 53. They are a bit slow.
6. The 2nd Gr1 car, managed to rear end me in T1 giving me damage (set on High) in with 5 laps to go. I still managed to keep my delta to p2 even with damage. The Gr1 car pitted to fix the car.
T1 didn't seem too bad. The 2nd chicane and the SS were where they seemed to be slower.Monza is a slow track for Sophy. They slow down way too much before t1 and especially before the chicanes.
I used the Peugeot and Toyota GT-one as Daytona Prototypes. If you have multiples of those they could work as a higher class.Hi,
I am trying to come up with my own Multi-class race with 13 Gr.3 cars but I am out of ideas with the remaining 7 cars as I don't want to use Gr.1 or Gr.4 cars.
Are there any good suggestions? I dont mind making mods to all cars so they can be equally balanced.
Thanks
Well one hour at 24x Daytona 24H. By the GT-One’s clock the race started at 15:58 and end of the hour it crossed the line at 15:52. I crossed the line at exactly one hour and couldn’t complete the lap. P3 was just behind about to lap me.

Tough race. No bands of rubber to help me move up. Parked the 787B swaps and used the turbo set ups. The AI still not at full throttle helped their fuel economy(fuel /tyres at 5x/10x). All though I pit same amount of laps(5) for fuel, I was at 1% when AI were at 8-10%.

AI RX-8s just can’t hang on long straights. Other than that, feels good to struggle to keep pace.
