just that. SOPHY Saftey Car utilising the flags properly.
Like, having a safety car come out if there is an accident? Why in gods name would you want that?

I mean, I'm all for more Sophy cars, but I sure don't want it coming onto the track to make everyone pace around after it.

I'd rather they add a REASON for it to come out first, like proper accidents. That's where Reggie beats Sophy - Reggie has more mistakes and accidents.

That’s the joy of options.

I built a field of Gr.3 cars (19), all tuned to 715pp (714.51-714.89) on RM. Downforce ALL set to minimum (350/500), 2855lbs min (some are naturally higher, some for pp purposes). No Turbo or SC upgrades, Trans auto set tp 300mph, toe and LSD (basic for my liking) only. Found custom styles for most, and some of my own.
Then took a C8 Corvette, built to 699.89pp on RH, Custom High wing, wide body, rear diffuser for max downforce (250/380). SC and racing exhaust, custom 6 speed Trans set to close the same top speed, but lacks acceleration on new tires in comparison.
477hp/3000lbs.
ALL CARS have RH, RM, RS, INT AND WET tires at their disposal. Run 1 hour races and shorter sprints of 15-20 laps at different tracks. Since the C8 has a smaller fuel cell, fuel set to 3 or 4, tires 11-12, boost off, all others set to Real. Pit strategy is key and interesting. Having a blast starting last and reversing the field for the next race.

Got a good balance for gr3 cars now, currently around 1 or 2 seconds per lap slower than the front runners, which gives me something to aim for. It is quite good at defending, takes some effort getting an overtake done..
Question though. On some tracks ie: brands hatch, I find the sophy cars to have zero gap between which makes it super difficult to overtake?.

Some good inspiration for a custom race from today’s Spa Classic GT3 Revival…

That was a good race to watch. Going to set-up my own. lol It was nice to see Bryan Heitkotter's GTR in it too. Fun fact: I used to race Bryan in autocross here in the Bay Area back in the day before he went into the GT Academy. He was a natural. Smooth driver.

I used a 370 hp car at 600 pp made it interesting with 3 ais chasing me after taking the lead in the middle of the race

I don't think you understood the question.

Why would it come out? As in what game event would trigger it? Safety cars come out to slow the cars in order to clear debris from the track, which GT does not have.

I'm truly puzzled. Let's skip past whether I, or anyone would use it, or whether it's a good idea or not, I'm curious how you see it working. 🤔
