Here's a recap I did for a custom race of my touring car championship. It's inspired by modern BTCC and also features some "What if"-entries. As you'll see, I had to make that Golf as wide as possible at some points, cause Sophy AI gave me quite a good challenge
Some facts about the custom race setup:
- Sophy AI
- 18 laps with fuel set to 2x and tires to 12x, boost set to weak
- I only used road cars that I fully modified to race cars with racing hard tires
- to take away some traction of the 4WD-cars, they are equipped with diff settings to make them a bit more "FR"-like. Redbull Ring definitely is the track, where they are still hard to beat, as you'll see in turn 3
Honestly, this was one of the most fun races I've ever done in GT7 and for me it shows, why this game is so great, seeing all this cars and liveries come to life. Thanks at this point to all the decal and livery-makers!. Hope you enjoy
All cars are widebody except the Impreza, Lancer und Atenza. For the Atenza there's no widebody available unfortunately. But it would need one 😅Did you do a wide body for your cars? I’m messing around with creating my own “TCR” races with hatchback cars that aren’t 4wd
Hopefully PD reads your posts and maybe they'll adjust things for future Sophys.Starting to wonder if I should even bother doing a race at Red Bull Ring. For some reason the AI cars are doing some weird stuff with pit stops and fueling. Just ran a 33 lap race and I had two cars not pit at all. Everyone else pit at least once, but then a few cars pit again with 1 lap to go and a bunch of them ran out of fuel before the last corner. What's funny is that the two cars that didn't pit, I actually increased their power before the race. Somehow that made them MORE fuel efficient? I don't know what to do. Going to do one more and add a few laps and see what happens, come up with a decision and just send it.
